Chapter 32: Natasha

After hesitating for just a few seconds, Jia Na decisively checked the box next to the character column for Natasha.

"When it comes to the core role for this audition, there's no one more suitable than the protagonist, Natasha."

After putting away the folded application form, Xiuka-Boge waited for a few minutes before having the male attendant open the door to the Fresh Flowers Rendezvous private room.

"Then, please invite the first group of interviewees to enter first."

Still displaying a brilliant smile showing eight teeth, under Xiuka-Boge's guidance, the first group of interviewees, who were already prepared, stood up from their chairs and walked orderly towards the waiting areas on both sides inside the private room.

As the second group of interviewees, whose audition time was relatively later, they followed closely behind, entering the private room with the mindset of getting a glimpse of their competitors' strength.

After everyone had left, there were still two or three people remaining in the hall. These individuals belonged to the type whose mindset was easily influenced by others, choosing to stay in the hall.

"Bang—"

The heavy private room door slowly closed. Jia Na looked around and saw that the layout inside the room was completely different from the last time they had a meal there during the Bai Wu Xie Club gathering.

Opposite the door was a long elm table used as the judges' panel. Behind the long table, the four judges from the Nightingale Opera Troupe were seated in order.

Among these four people, besides seeing David-Berg, whom Jia Na was relatively familiar with, there was also a face that Jia Na was particularly familiar with, and that person was the most popular actress of the current Nightingale Club—Anna-Moonshadow.

Anna-Moonshadow, born into the Lunar Shadow Family of Turin, is Bell-Moonshadow's cousin. However, unlike Bell-Moonshadow's dominant half-elf appearance with dark skin and slightly pointed ears, Anna-Moonshadow's skin tone and ears are no different from ordinary humans.

But, unlike Bell-Moonshadow's more neutral appearance, Anna-Moonshadow, with her wheat-colored skin, slender black eyebrows, and a pair of upward-slanting fox eyes, possessed a face full of Charm and beauty.

The only slight drawback was that Anna-Moonshadow's height, close to one meter eighty-five, severely limited her range of roles. Even with her well-proportioned figure, in romantic opera performances, a height nearly equal to that of the male actors could easily make the audience feel disconnected.

However, this height is very consistent with the character design of Natasha, who gallops on the battlefield after growing up in blood shadow rose.

After all, as a Flame Rose who has spent years disguised as a man and cannot be recognized by others, a strong and tall physique will only make the audience more convinced.

The remaining two interviewers were one around forty years old, of medium build, who, although he had a beard, clearly took good care of it; the other was a relatively younger man, appearing to be twenty-five or six, with an ordinary appearance but a gentle smile that easily made people feel favorable towards him.

"There are a total of four interviewers for this session. The first is the head of the Nightingale Opera Troupe, Roman-Roland."

Hearing Xiuka-Boge's introduction, Jia Na's eyebrows slightly rose.

"They actually share a surname."

But in this world, it's very common for common Wizards to share surnames. In fact, there are quite a few people with the same full name.

"The second is the general director of blood shadow rose, Crane-Roland."

As the young man who looked easy to get along with stood up and waved to everyone, Jia Na realized that the most unassuming young man among the four was actually the general director of the currently most popular play, blood shadow rose.

"The third, David-Berg, is both the assistant director of blood shadow rose and the author of the work."

As David-Berg stood up, many familiar actors in the room also smiled and responded.

"The last one, I believe there is no one here who doesn't know her—the female lead of blood shadow rose, Miss Anna-Moonshadow."

"Hello everyone."

Upon hearing Xiuka-Boge introduce her, Anna-Moonshadow also smiled and stood up, greeting everyone very gracefully with a very magnetic voice.

"She's so beautiful! I really love her portrayal of Natasha! You don't know, Miss Anna's Natasha is even more charming than all the male actors here!"

Liji-Xiaosi, who was in the same group as Jia Na, was sitting next to Jia Na at this time, looking at Anna-Moonshadow, who was greeting everyone, with an excited face, her tone full of adoration.

"Her opera singing is indeed very good."

When Liji-Xiaosi was tutoring Jia Na, she used a Sound-type Stone to play Anna-Moonshadow's solo parts from blood shadow rose for Jia Na.

The husky yet extremely high soprano, as well as the strong emotions contained in the lines, made Jia Na, who was hearing local opera for the first time, feel an unprecedented artistic impact.

"If you heard it live, it would be even more shocking! If the front-row tickets weren't so expensive, I really wish I could appreciate Miss Anna's performance up close..."

"Isn't anyone using Sound-type Stones to record at the venue?"

Seeing Liji-Xiaosi's fervent appearance, Jia Na couldn't help but ask curiously.

"Please, the picture quality of those pirated Sound-type Stone clips sold on the market is simply not clear... Moreover, buying pirated copies is against Wizard law!"

"Is that so? I'm really not very familiar with Wizard copyright law."

In the Wizard World, the protection of intellectual property rights is extremely strict, but Jia Na truly didn't expect that the protection of artistic copyright here would also be so strict... This genuinely made her admire them.

"Each person's audition time is only five minutes, and the assessment content is mainly based on opera and performance... Of course, if the examiner adds extra tests, that's another matter, as the directors of the Nightingale Troupe are notoriously fond of adding scenes..."

"Xiuka, stop rambling, let's start."

Seeing Xiuka-Boge's topic drift, David-Berg, who was sitting on the far left of the long table, interrupted him at the right time.

"Alright then, please have the first interviewee from the first group come forward and hand me your application form."

As soon as he finished speaking, a sweet young girl, approximately fourteen or fifteen years old, looking about the same age as Jia Na, stood up neatly from the first row of seats in the waiting area, walked to the center of the examination area, and handed the application form in her hand to Xiuka-Boge.

"Good morning, esteemed examiners, my name is Aoli Berry, and the role I wish to audition for is the teenage Natasha."

"Aoli Berry... are you a Sound-type apprentice?"

Flipping through the application form handed over by Xiuka-Boge, Roman-Roland, who was sitting in the center of the judges' panel, couldn't help but raise his head and carefully examine the young girl in front of him.

"Yes, Mr. Roman-Roland."

"Okay, begin."

"Alright."

Although she was young, Aoli Berry's entrance posture looked like that of a very experienced mature actress, showing no signs of stage fright.

"Sister Liji, do you know this person?"

Seeing that the first interviewee was someone preparing to compete for the same role as herself, a Flame named "competitiveness" couldn't help but begin to burn in Jia Na's eyes...
