I'm not a new author; "The Witch" is my third book.
Before starting this book, I spent nearly three months just preparing the outline. After careful consideration, I chose a genre that, while not widely popular, is one I truly love.
Due to overtime work, I don't actually have much time to write every night. Therefore, I set my alarm for 5:00 AM every morning, and with a mix of pain and joy, I crawl out of bed to write.
Because I love it, I work hard.
Because I work hard, I have expectations.
It's about to face the test of the market, and honestly, I'm very nervous.
I have a personality that easily gets caught up in overthinking. When writing, my mood fluctuates with the results. I want to control it, but I can't help but think about it (sigh).
Perhaps due to the genre, the early data for "The Witch" hasn't been ideal, and the number of saves so far isn't high.
Data like follow-up reads, first subscriptions, save-to-subscription ratio, and average subscriptions are very important for a new book, as they relate to recommended spots after going on sale and also affect the author's future income and motivation to write.
I hope for good results, but if not, that's the market's choice. I will humbly and seriously accept my shortcomings (and I'll be emo for a long, long time).
However, I still hope that if there are readers who are 'saving' the book, they can give a first subscription as encouragement (please, please), so I know you're still there.
There's a lot I want to say, but I'm not sure if anyone will read it (sad). So, I still want to invest my emotions and passion into the stories that follow. At the same time, I remind myself not to pad the content and not to let down the readers who support me with their hard-earned money.

After all, when I was quietly writing alone, your follow-up reads and comments were always what made my day happy.
