Chapter 4: millionaire
"Mom, this is a Television Program I came up with. I've finished the planning, so take a look and see if there are any shortcomings. If it's viable, I want to sell it. Perhaps it will bring me a considerable income!" As he spoke, John quickly pulled out the millionaire proposal he had already written.
Instantly, the Smiths were both speechless. Although they had experienced many storms and were accustomed to grand occasions, they should not have lost their composure like this, no matter what they encountered. However, the current situation completely overturned their inherent perceptions, making it unbelievable. Someone who had never been involved in Television Program planning, and a child at that, had actually written a Television Program and prepared a proposal. In their eyes, this was a joke.
As his father, Smith said, "John, what did you just say? I didn't hear clearly. Could you repeat it?" As he spoke, Smith also saw Anna, who was equally shocked, and the notebook in John's hand, which made him realize he hadn't misheard, but he just couldn't accept it!
John didn't mind his parents' surprise. Holding the notebook in his hand, he said, "I've created a reality Television Program called 'millionaire.' Please take a look."
After John regained consciousness, he brought too many surprises to his family: first, his ambition, then his excellent musical talent, and now his self-created Television Program!
Although she was incredibly surprised, even disbelieving, as a mother, Anna still took the notebook from John's hand and said, "I know a bit about Television Programs, so let me see! John, no matter what, I'm proud of you. Your talent is astonishing!"
Unlike Anna, as his father, Smith tentatively said, "John, did you complete this independently? How did you think of it? Do you intend to develop comprehensively in the entertainment field?"
At this moment, Smith really wanted to know John's true thoughts, hoping to understand John's future direction, as it concerned John's future and could not be taken lightly!
Upon hearing his father's question, John secretly thought, "Of course, I copied it, but unfortunately, no one knows, so it's my own creation."
"Yes, I completed this independently. During that period of confusion, I had many ideas in my mind, but at that time, I couldn't muster any energy to create. Now I'm finally awake and out of my confusion, so I need to quickly organize everything I've thought of. I hope you won't laugh."
At this point, John paused, organized his thoughts slightly, and continued, "I do have ideas about developing in the entertainment direction, but this is not my entire plan, nor is it the focus of my development. The direction I most hope to develop in is Silicon Valley, in technology and investment. Developing entertainment is merely a means to raise more funds for myself in the initial stages!"
There was another sentence John didn't say: from entertainment, he could gradually increase his control over discourse and gain more benefits. However, if he said this, his parents wouldn't believe him, simply because he was too young!
Smith sighed, "John, your attention should be focused on one point. Don't be overly distracted. This is not good for your future development. You are still too young. Focusing on one thing is the best choice. Too many distractions will only scatter your energy and ultimately lead to nothing!"
This statement is an absolutely correct and apt truth for ordinary people! However, he was not an ordinary person; he was a cheat with countless future information. Even if he was distracted, he would still constantly achieve success, and there would be no complete failure, at least in entertainment and investment. The power of the golden finger is invincible in these two areas!
His father's words were also correct. His biggest weakness now was that he was too young, still a child, and many things were difficult to implement. To overcome this weakness, there was only one choice: increase his fame.
Only when he possessed unparalleled fame would all the resistance brought by youth cease to exist. The fastest way to gain fame was, naturally, entertainment, and entertainment was also the easiest option to make money.
John smiled calmly and said, "Father, I know, but I believe I have the ability to forge my own path. As you said, I am young, and I can afford to fail."
Just as the conversation between Smith and John, the father and son, fell into an awkward silence, Anna finally finished reading the proposal introduction in her hand. She was beyond shocked and said, "Smith, now I need to have a good talk with John. This is indeed an excellent Television Program with huge commercial potential."
Hearing this, Smith said with a slight surprise, "OK! Are you serious?" Although John was a genius, writing novels and creating Television Programs were completely different fields. This result was somewhat difficult for him to accept!
"Of course, John's plan is perfect, meticulous, and completely captures people's hearts. It's as if we don't understand him. This plan can achieve tremendous success in the commercial market and has infinite potential."
"I thought of this when I was in a state of confusion. Although that period made me very confused and perplexed, inspiration flowed like a spring. Yet, I couldn't muster any energy to create, as if my whole being had been drained. That feeling was truly terrible for me!"
Anna sighed at this and said, "You've suffered. Perhaps only by experiencing this tempering can you see everything clearly and understand human nature so deeply, coming up with such a perfect plan driven by profit. As long as they are human, they cannot escape the shackles of fame and fortune. millionaire, no one can resist the temptation of this money!"

"That's what I think too. Even I, a seventeen-year-old child, can't resist the temptation of money, let alone adults. Their greed for money will only be crazier and more persistent than mine!"
At this time, John showed no humility, because this was America. Americans don't talk about humility; humility is only seen as weakness, lack of confidence, and an object to be bullied.
"John, this plan of yours might bring tens of millions of dollars in revenue, or even more. Do you still need to accept the family's ten-million fund?" Suddenly, his mother Anna looked up, her gaze fixed on John.
Facing his mother's gaze, John did not flinch. He smiled calmly and said, "Accept it, why wouldn't I accept it? Even with tens of millions more, it's still a bit little. Having ten million more funds in hand would be better. This is a cash-is-king society; more funds mean more power. It's not a burden for me. With this ten million in hand, I can try many of my ideas without waiting. Time is money. I really want to try all the ideas in my mind while I'm young and see if I can succeed!"
Trying is a good decision. In many areas, although he had a foresight that others didn't have and advanced knowledge, success still required effort.
Every profession is like a mountain. As a senior netizen and financial professional, he could succeed as a plagiarist, and would be very successful, but entering a completely new field might not be as satisfying. When starting his own business, trying more things was a good choice. Even if he failed, it was no big deal, after all, the initial investment of funds and energy would not be too much, and he could afford the loss.
"Good, it's good that you think that way. In my opinion, there's no problem with this plan. However, I don't hope you sell it completely. It's best to ask for a portion of cash and then ask for a share of the GG revenue. As long as the millionaire program is still being produced and broadcast, you will have a share of the revenue. If you have no objections, I will handle this plan!"
"Thank you, Mom, your suggestion is excellent. I completely agree; everything will be done as you say!" Saying this, a faint hint of joy appeared on John's face. Now he could finally breathe a sigh of relief. As long as the millionaire project plan was sold, he would have enough funds to use, to make a huge profit in the upcoming golden market fluctuations, and to accumulate for future development.
John had absolute trust in his family! As long as there was a shred of kindness in one's heart, there was no mother in the world who didn't love her child. Tens of millions of dollars, though considerable wealth, could not sway his heart. He was still willing to trust his mother. If he couldn't even trust his family, who else in this world was worth trusting? Outsiders were even less reliable, especially with this multi-million dollar plan, which would make them crazy.
He knew even better that entrusting this matter to his family was the best choice. It would be impossible for him, a seventeen-year-old child, to gain the maximum benefit from a Television Station. Even if his plan was excellent, it couldn't be realized, because capital is greedy, and the Television Station wouldn't give him too much benefit. There was also a big problem: he didn't have that much time to waste; he had more important things to do.
