Chapter 31: Lynn Hall's VIP Room No. 1!
I have to admit, HYDRA's methods of guidance are quite skillful.
If I accept this black card as "compensation," then what follows will likely be HYDRA's true attempt to win me over!
Even if I go back and hand the black card to James Duke.
After all, Duke is also a part of HYDRA!
If I don't accept, they'll probably use other methods to "guide" me.
At that point, it will likely be even more troublesome!
Tsk, I didn't expect HYDRA to value me so much.
That's right, after all, James Duke has told me more than once.
He hopes that in two years, when he becomes the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, I can take his place and become the Director of the New York Federal Bureau of Investigation!
Thinking of this, Lynn Hall unhesitatingly took the black card and put it in his pocket.
Why wouldn't he accept this "compensation"?
The reason he was willing to join the "Brotherhood" was precisely to gain greater benefits, wasn't it?
So, Lynn naturally wouldn't refuse benefits that were delivered to his doorstep.
Anyway, in the future, when it's time to sell out HYDRA, he won't be soft-hearted.
Perhaps in a few years, he might even personally report his direct superior, James Duke, who will have become the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as a member of HYDRA!
As for why he joined HYDRA?
Lynn Hall had already thought of the excuse: it's like enduring hardship to achieve a goal!
Moreover, who made S.H.I.E.L.D. full of HYDRA agents? He had no choice but to join HYDRA and slowly collect evidence against them, right?
Putting the black card into his pocket, Lynn Hall looked at the Vampire in front of him and said, "Not enough, I brought over thirty brothers with me this time!"
Hearing Lynn Hall's words, the Vampire's face immediately broke into a smile: "Mr. Hall, please rest assured, that's not a problem!"
Saying that, the Vampire completely ignored the large bat covered under a black curtain in the study.
Instead, he directly led Lynn Hall to another room.
Inside the room, a stack of gold bars was neatly placed on the table.
Each gold bar weighed about one kilogram.
"Mr. Hall, we know you are very considerate of your subordinates, so we naturally won't let them come here for nothing."
"Please feel free to take them. We guarantee that no investigation, whether from the IRS or other departments, will find any unfavorable evidence against you or your subordinates!"
Hmm, the amount of information in this sentence is also huge; it seems to imply that the IRS also has "their own people"!
The battle outside was nearing its end. Adam Morris was now firmly restrained by Jean Grey using the Phoenix Force.
Looking at Adam Morris, who was fitted with an inhibitor collar and was now cursing at the X-Men.
Coulson then walked forward, still unsatisfied, his expression seeming to say that he hadn't watched enough!
When Lynn Hall brought his people out, Jean Grey, who was talking with Coulson, immediately walked forward.
"Mr. Hall, Adam Morris is now handed over to you!"
Looking at Jean Grey's calm expression, which seemed to be hoping for his "affirmation."
Lynn smiled and said, "Thank you for your hard work. I knew that cooperating with you X-Men this time would save our New York Federal Bureau of Investigation a lot of trouble!"
"If there's an opportunity in the future, I very much hope we can continue to cooperate!"
Hearing Lynn say this, Jean Grey's smile became even brighter.
What she truly wanted wasn't credit, but to gain Lynn Hall's favorability.
Now that she had received Lynn Hall's affirmation and favor, this was the best news for the X-Men!
"Lynn, what about those Vampires from the Nathaniel Family?" Coulson, who was beside him, looked at Lynn and the box carried by Sean behind him, and walked forward to ask.
"They escaped!"
Lynn spread his hands towards Coulson and said "helplessly," "I didn't expect these guys to be able to transform into bats and escape through various secret passages. I have to admit, they really are a group of magical creatures!"
"That's within my expectations. After all, the Nathaniel Family has existed for hundreds of years, so it's normal for their family estate to have escape routes."
"Our S.H.I.E.L.D. has also tried to capture these Vampires before, but each time we could only catch a few small ones!"
"By the way, how do we get back now?"
As Coulson's words fell, everyone's gaze turned to Barbara Kent.
"Don't look at me. My mental energy is no longer enough for me to open a portal again, unless you're willing to wait overnight!"
"In that case, let me handle the return trip."
Smiling at Lynn, Coulson then picked up his phone and made a call.
Listening to Coulson calling for a Kun-style Fighter Jet, Lynn Hall had Alice take out the recorder and film the scene of Adam Morris being captured.
He would take this videotape back so that Duke and the new mayor would have a way to explain to the public. As for Adam Morris's life, it would be better if he ended it himself!
After returning to New York on the Kun-style Fighter Jet, the X-Men and S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel separated and went their own ways.
Inside the car.
Looking at Adam Morris, who was staring at him with hatred in his eyes.
Lynn Hall asked Alice, "Are you done filming?"
"The video footage is enough for us to report back, Boss!"
Facing Lynn's inquiry, Alice immediately replied.
"Sean, VIP Room No. 1!"
"Received!"
Hearing Lynn's instruction, Sean, who was driving the vehicle, immediately turned in a different direction, heading towards the uninhabited area of the Hudson River.
"Alice, what is VIP Room No. 1 that the Officer mentioned?"
Dennis sat next to Alice, and seeing that everyone else in the car was accustomed to it, he quietly asked out of curiosity.
"You'll know when we get there!"
Seeing Dennis's very curious expression, Alice patted his shoulder and said, "You weren't scared by the battle in the Vampire's mansion, were you!"
"No!"
Facing Alice's question, Dennis Johnson gently shook his head: "The Officer just had me watch the whole time and didn't let me shoot!"
"That's just the Boss wanting you to experience what our daily missions entail, and also to make you think about whether you truly want to be one of us!"
"If you back down, the Boss will transfer you to a clerical position."
"But don't worry, even if you're transferred to a clerical position, the Boss will still look out for you!"
Hearing Alice say this, Dennis Johnson cautiously glanced at Lynn Hall, who was sitting not far away.
After a moment of silence, Dennis slowly said, "I want to be one of you!"
