Chapter 99: Half of the Instructions: Geboga

Burp~

"Hehe, it tastes so good." Kelah chuckled foolishly, patting her satisfied stomach. Having drunk a few more cups, she was starting to feel hazy and dizzy.

Mai Lu next to her was in a similar state. As the expert eater of the family, she was always the last one to put down her chopsticks.

"I admit, it's really good..."

Ye Lin glanced at the pond outside, a mischievous glint in his eyes. An Apostle-level delicacy, across Arad, Heaven, and Pandemonium, perhaps only a few of them had ever tasted it.

Among all Apostles, only Luo Zong was edible without causing major issues... Prey's egg was an energy body and couldn't be eaten.

He suddenly remembered the huge tentacle in his backpack, but after careful consideration, he decided against it. Lotus had been from Solaris to the Pandemonium Ocean and then to Tian Wei Giant Beast; who knew what he might have come into contact with.

After dinner, they relaxed, vividly recounting their experiences on Tian Wei Giant Beast to Celia and the others, including Rommel's regret, the Goddess Palace, and so on. By the time he spoke of Lotus being reborn through an egg and then having three of his legs chopped off by Kelah, it was almost midnight, and weariness crept in.

Contagious yawns spread. After saying goodnight, they rose and returned to their rooms to sleep. Only Tana stood on the stairs, turned, and crooked her finger at him, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.

"Job change?"

He scrambled up, happily rushing to Tana's bedroom door, when a book was thrown out from inside. She teased, "I've translated the text for you. Draw the pictures yourself, and show Kelly tomorrow to see what this is. Rest tonight."

Clang...

The door closed, magic-locked from the inside, preventing any possibility of sneaking in.

"Um... do you need my help?"

Celia lived next door to Tana. Having just returned to her room and untied her hair, she happened to hear the conversation outside and curiously poked out half her body.

"No... Wait, yes!"

Ye Lin nodded gravely, gesturing to the notes and paper in his hand. Given Celia's special identity, she might actually know something.

He said this out of strong curiosity, not because he wanted to change his job to an Elf Knight like Mai Lu!

"Come in and talk. Even Tana Sister doesn't know, so it must be a difficult problem."

"Yes, yes, a difficult problem."

Upon entering, he consciously surveyed Celia's room. The style was distinctly pink and girlish, with the bed piled high with rabbit and cat plushies, several small Behemoth pendants hanging above, and cute animal drawings on the walls. There was also a faint fragrance in the room.

This was his first time in Celia's room, not counting the Gran Forest tree hollow.

"An instrument-like object left by Apostle Bakal in the notes. I can't guess its effect."

Celia, dressed in a beige nightgown with her long hair spread over her shoulders, sat in a duck-sitting position on the comforter, carefully examining the few pages of notes.

Dragon language was no different from her native tongue, and she read it without any difficulty.

Flipping a page of the notes, Celia brushed away a strand of hair that had accidentally fallen in front of her eyes. Her gaze was steady and gentle, completely devoid of her usual money-grubbing look.

"So beautiful..."

Ye Lin, sitting on the edge of the bed, gazed at Celia in her serious state, muttering unconsciously, then his old face flushed.

He actually had a serious side? Shouldn't he have already started messing around as usual?

Strange, strange...

Celia's gaze secretly shifted to him, then immediately away. She took out her daily ledger and pen, slowly drawing something.

"You have a new discovery?"

His eyes lit up, and Ye Lin quickly leaned closer.

"Hmm... just verifying."

She pursed her lips, and her pen suddenly slipped, drawing a crooked line, but it didn't affect the overall image, so she didn't modify it. She'd just make do.

About ten minutes later, Celia successfully copied the patterns from the notes. She let out a sigh of relief, her small face glowing.

"Luckily you didn't show Kelly; she wouldn't understand."

She put down her pen, her tone confident, looking slightly up, pleased with herself.

"Oh? The most beautiful lady seems to have the clearest insight?"

Ye Lin praised her at the right time. He sat on the left side of the bed, took Celia's soft left hand, and at the same time, focused his gaze on the drawing she had just completed.

"This is an instrument that, through energy convergence, produces an effect similar to a magic circle. It has extremely high requirements for manufacturing materials; perhaps... artifact-level materials are barely enough."

"Such harsh conditions! What's its effect then?"

Ye Lin's curiosity grew. Bakal had left behind an instrument so meticulously and rigorously designed; its effect must be extraordinary.

He casually tickled Celia's exposed sole, which was uncovered due to her duck-sitting posture, earning a soft whine and playful punches.

"If I deduce it, it seems to be a kind of... device and command that can open Other Dimension rifts."

Celia pointed to the center of the drawing, her delicate brows slightly furrowed, and explained, "The blueprint seems to be only half. I can't deduce the specific effect either. It probably means that once activated, an Other Dimension rift will shatter open, but where the other end of the rift is... only by getting the other half will it be clear."

"Could it be for summoning Dragons? Like Dragon Planet Trobolt?"

But after careful thought, he felt it wasn't right. If it really were Dragon Planet, Bakal's homeland, there would be no need to leave half of the magic circle.

Worried about Held's counterattack? Then it would be better not to leave it at all...

"However, the pages before and after the blueprint record observations of Heaven. Could this device be related to Heaven instead of Bakal?"

The intelligent Celia thought of the crucial point, using context to deduce the blueprint's specific purpose.

"Heaven..."

After a brief moment of confusion, a flash of light suddenly crossed his mind. From the same period as Bakal, something significant enough to be recorded, and even so cautiously that only half was recorded, could it be--the decisive giant weapon: Gae Bolga!

This machine, originally intended to combat the strongest Dragon, Bakal, led to the near annihilation of the Mechanical Seven Gods due to the betrayal of Taneba, one of the Mechanical Seven Gods. Another Mechanical God of War, Curio, transferred Gae Bolga to the Other Dimension and secretly left the design blueprint and commands for the "Other Dimension Mobile Device" necessary to summon Gae Bolga.

However, parts of the design blueprint and commands were leaked. Scattered commands allowed some mechanics to summon Gai Bo Jia's Fist, but the core part remained unknown.

Taneba's betrayal, of course, had other hidden motives, because Heide, one of the Seven Gods, was secretly impersonated by Held!

To prevent Gae Bolga from being used by Held, and to incite future generations' anger towards Bakal, Taneba and Bakal jointly enacted a "betrayal and massacre."

"This is actually half of Gae Bolga's summoning command! Or rather, the most important Dimension Mobile Device."

Ye Lin couldn't help but smile. If he could collect the incomplete commands from the Heaven Mechanical Gods, it might be possible to combine them with this half of the command and summon the complete Gae Bolga!

At worst, he could have Alice pinpoint the Other Dimension of "Gai Bo Jia's Fist" and forcibly break open the rift to find Gae Bolga.
