Chapter 2: Not a good first time

Xing Chen truly liked the character Theresa and even had the six-star Bard set as his assistant on the main interface. However, when she actually appeared before him, possessing such immense power, his 'little head' calmed down, and what filled his 'big head' was naturally fear.

"(Sarkaz) Sir, it seems your arm is dislocated. Do you need my help?" Theresa continued to ask in a worried tone. She wouldn't demand someone's arm just for touching her. "(Sarkaz) I've received medical training. It will be over quickly and won't hurt."

One second he was facing the Doctor who betrayed him, and the next, with a blink of an eye, he arrived in a strange place.

The unfamiliar man in front of him had a similar appearance to that man and spoke a similar language, seemingly of the same race.

Could it be that she had arrived at the Doctor's race's secret secluded dwelling?

Theresa tried to recall the Doctor's language, and something even more perplexing happened. Even though she had already passed on the Civilization's Continuation to Amiya, she could still vaguely connect with it at this moment.

"You... you... hello... I... am Theresa..." clumsily imitating her first meeting with the Doctor, Theresa said to Xing Chen, "You are injured, I can help you."

"You speak our language?" Although it sounded like a dialect from a hundred thousand miles away, Xing Chen still understood what Theresa wanted to express. "Alright then, hurry up, it wouldn't be good if others found out."

Having received Xing Chen's consent, Theresa gently pulled Xing Chen's dislocated arm. With a slight pull, the bone finally returned to its place.

"WOC!"

After shouting that, Xing Chen moved his arm, and Theresa also let out a long sigh of relief, revealing a problem-solving smile. However, just then, an urgent knocking sound came from outside the rental apartment door.

"Xing Chen! Are you in there! Is something wrong!"

"I'm fine!" Xing Chen shouted, then pointed to the cabinet in the bedroom and whispered to Theresa, "Hide quickly."

After Theresa started to move, Xing Chen also immediately got dressed and went to open the door.

"Brother Wang," Xing Chen opened the door halfway, allowing his friend outside to see his condition without being able to observe his bedroom.

"I just heard you shout so loudly, what happened?" Brother Wang shook his head outside, seemingly trying to see what was happening inside.

"Nothing, I dislocated my arm hitting something," Xing Chen said with a smile, showing his still weak arm to Brother Wang, "I fixed it myself, it just hurts a little."

Seeing no problem, Brother Wang also relaxed. "As long as you're fine. Oh, and definitely don't do anything you shouldn't."

"Of course, of course." Xing Chen nodded like a pecking chicken. "I'd definitely discuss something like that with you first."

"Get out of here." Brother Wang laughed and playfully punched Xing Chen's arm, then returned to the next door. Seeing this, Xing Chen quickly closed the door.

"Who was that just now?" Theresa poked her head out from behind the bedroom door frame and asked Xing Chen.

"Brother Wang, my... friend? Group member? Senior? Never mind, just think of him as my neighbor, we have a good relationship."

"You have a good relationship, so why are you still so wary of him?"

"Isn't it because of you!" Xing Chen said somewhat helplessly.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Xing Chen." Theresa said apologetically.

"It's okay, who could have predicted something like this would happen. Also, don't call me 'Sir' anymore, just call me Xing Chen."

"Mhm."

After a morning of commotion, Xing Chen was both thirsty and hungry, so he opened the refrigerator, took out two bottles of Pepsi, and tossed one to Theresa.

Looking at the plastic bottle in her hand and the black liquid inside, Theresa showed a very curious expression. After seeing Xing Chen open the cap and drink heartily, she also followed suit.

Then she sprayed it out.

"What is this?" Theresa wiped the liquid that had sprayed from her mouth and nose. The lingering sweetness in her mouth immediately invigorated her.

"Soda, I remember you have this on the continent of Terra too."

"Never drank it." Theresa shook her head. She caught a detail: "your continent of Terra." Could it be that this wasn't Terra? With that question, she asked Xing Chen for an answer, but received a term she had never heard of—"Earth."

"Is that what you call the inside of Originium?"

"No, then let me ask you, you know the concept of a planet, right?"

"Mhm, it's recorded in the Civilization's Continuation."

"Earth and Terra are both names of planets. The difference is that the native intelligent species on Terra are the Tikaz, while the rulers of Earth are humans."

"Then do you know someone named 'Doctor'?" Theresa deliberated for a long time before asking the question she had been wanting to ask.

"I know many Doctors, in mechanics, materials, geology, and more," Xing Chen naturally guessed the man she was thinking of, the one she had placed great hopes on but who ultimately betrayed her, "But if you're just talking about a guy who wears a hood all day, then I'm truly sorry."

"But... but..." Theresa thought for a long time but couldn't organize her words. Finally, she chose to speak with facts.

"Look at this," Theresa pulled open the wardrobe. Xing Chen finally remembered the cheap cosplay outfit a kind person had given him for free at a comic convention he attended previously.

Xing Chen was embarrassed now. "That's just a common, run-of-the-mill uniform."

Theresa's mind suddenly went into a state of shutdown. The feeling of her worldview, which had existed since her birth, suddenly being shattered, was indeed very pitiful.

Xing Chen gently placed his hand on Theresa's shoulder and softly comforted her, "Alright, you've already died once. Wouldn't it be good to live again in a new place?"

Theresa was silent for a long time. Xing Chen knew she was worried about her brother, her kin, and the living beings on that vast land.

"Xing Chen, I've seen you on Terra. Can you send me back?"

"That's very difficult, but I'll try to find a way." Although he said that, they were both adults, and they both knew whether this could actually be done.

"Okay, thank you." Theresa gave Xing Chen a reassuring smile. Xing Chen's face instantly turned red. He finally understood why there were so many Theresa fans. The aura of the Demon King was indeed unique.

As for the stance of Pre-civilization versus current civilization, what did that have to do with him? He wasn't from the Pre-civilization anyway.

Theresa handed the uniform to Xing Chen, who carefully folded it and then placed it at the very bottom of the wardrobe.
