As night deepened, Wang Yu opened the window in front of him.
A refreshing sea breeze brushed his face. He quietly observed the port area, which was slowly falling into slumber under the night sky, for a long while. The entire port area had only a few scattered points of light, with most of it completely enveloped in darkness.
Yet, he could still vaguely see some Manjuu units patrolling the port area. Watching the port area gradually prosper under his command filled him with a sense of accomplishment.
It was as if all his efforts had finally begun to show some results. Although the goal of fully developing and expanding the port area was still far off, everything was moving in a good direction, wasn't it?
After admiring the night view for a while, Wang Yu finally closed the window with satisfaction, but then suddenly remembered that there were still a few documents in the office that hadn't been processed. He had processed half of them earlier, but got sidetracked by other matters and completely forgot. Now, as he was about to rest, he suddenly remembered.
"Forget it, forget it, there isn't much anyway. I'll just go and finish them first!" After muttering to himself, Wang Yu left his room, preparing to work a temporary night shift.
The corridor, however, was brightly lit, but he suddenly noticed some light coming from the staircase at the end of the corridor. It was so late, who could still be in the hall?
Wang Yu was a little puzzled. The reception hall on the first floor had long been used as a dining area, so logically, no one should be there at such a late hour.
After a brief hesitation, he dismissed the idea of going straight to the office to work overtime and turned towards the staircase at the end of the corridor.
Following the cherry wood staircase downwards, he finally saw the solitary figure quietly sitting on the sofa, sipping wine.
It was Amagi!
The soft light illuminated her beautiful face, which was slightly flushed from a light tipsiness. Her large fox ears twitched slightly upon hearing footsteps, and her pale purple eyes looked back, carrying a hint of captivating charm, momentarily appearing extraordinarily alluring.
Amagi was not wearing her usual Ship Girls attire, but had changed into a more common, loose-fitting casual outfit. The loose neckline could no longer conceal her ample bosom. Wang Yu merely glanced at the beautiful scenery on her chest before guiltily averting his gaze.
He felt that Amagi didn't seem much smaller than Glorious; the thought flashed through his mind unconsciously.
"Commander, why haven't you rested yet? Staying up so late won't be good for your health." Before Wang Yu could even ask, Amagi preempted him, inquiring why he wasn't resting.
Do Sakura Empire Ship Girls really excel at taking the initiative? After all, they all believe in 'first strike, first win'...
"I just had some things today that I didn't get to finish, so I'm just quickly taking care of them. I happened to see some lights here, so I came to check it out."
"Then Commander, please come and sit down." Amagi shifted slightly, making space and gently patted the spot, signaling for Wang Yu to join her.
The work wasn't that urgent, and Wang Yu didn't hesitate much, walking straight over and sitting beside Amagi.
A warmth emanated from beneath him, and Wang Yu realized this was where Amagi had been sitting, it was Amagi's body warmth...
Before he could think further, a fragrant breeze wafted over. Amagi was bending over to pour wine into the cup in front of him. From this angle, the magnificent expanse of her chest was completely unobstructed.
Through her collar, he saw the bouncing jade spheres. At this moment, he finally had the most direct assessment of their size; they truly weren't much smaller than Glorious...
He felt a sudden dryness in his mouth and unconsciously licked his lips. His mouth was parched and he just wanted to drink something.
He reached out to take the cup but happened to touch Amagi's delicate hand holding it. A smooth, slippery sensation came through, and he quickly withdrew his hand in surprise...
"Commander, there's no need to be so nervous," a hot breath brushed his cheek. Only then did he realize that Amagi had already moved closer, with very little distance left between them; their faces were almost touching.
The unique coldness of porcelain came from between his lips. Amagi had already brought the wine cup to Wang Yu's lips: "Sakura Empire's special sake, sweet and delicious, and most importantly, it won't make you drunk. Commander, you must savor it properly."
The wine won't make one drunk, but one can get drunk without the wine...
Wang Yu unconsciously took a sip under Amagi's ministration. Indeed, there was no pungent alcoholic smell; instead, it had a sweet, refreshing taste, like a light beverage, and the alcohol content didn't seem very high.
Feeling like he wouldn't get drunk even if he drank a bit more, he took a few more sips. He only felt that the smiling face in front of him seemed to become even more beautiful, and there was an indescribable, mysterious magic in her purplish pupils, deeply captivating his gaze.
"Commander, doesn't it taste good?"
"Mm-hmm." Wang Yu nodded, unconsciously leaning back a bit, putting some distance between himself and Amagi.
They were really too close right now, and he was worried about making a mistake!
"Amagi, you haven't said why you're still awake? What are you doing drinking alone here?" Wang Yu asked awkwardly. He almost didn't know what to say now, but thankfully he finally remembered his purpose for coming and quickly spoke up.
Amagi didn't answer directly; instead, she turned her head to look out the window.
At this moment, the bright moon hung high outside the window, casting its clear moonlight from the round disk. The scene was breathtakingly beautiful.
"Commander, do you know what day it is today?"
"What day?" Wang Yu was a little surprised. He didn't know what day it was; he only knew it was just past June. Could it be some festival today? Or an anniversary of some kind? No, that's not right, he wasn't married to Amagi... Then, a Ship Girls acquisition anniversary?
"It's the Duanwu Festival!" Amagi directly interrupted Wang Yu's wild thoughts.
So it was the Duanwu Festival, Wang Yu suddenly realized: "Then Amagi, are you missing your companions in the port area?"
"I've only been away from the port area for a few days, so how could I be missing them?" Amagi smiled, denying Wang Yu's words: "If you're talking about missing someone, I miss the Commander even more."
"Heh heh." Wang Yu didn't know how to respond and could only let out a couple of awkward dry laughs.
Seeing this, Amagi also took back the cup from in front of Wang Yu, and her body straightened slightly, creating some distance between herself and Wang Yu.
Finally, they weren't as close as they were at the beginning, and Wang Yu breathed a sigh of relief. His willpower was getting weaker and weaker; he almost couldn't hold on!
Amagi had been too close earlier; even without physical contact, the heat and fragrance still lingered around him. A few sips of wine had left him somewhat flustered.
Now that the distance was increased, the pressure instantly lessened significantly.
"Ahem," Amagi lightly coughed twice: "Although sake isn't that easy to get drunk on, Commander, you still have work to do later, so I can't let you drink too much."
With that, she picked up the cup that Wang Yu hadn't completely finished and brought it to her lips.
"Wait!" Wang Yu tried to stop her but found that Amagi had already put down the cup, and the remaining sake in it had already been drunk in one gulp...
"Commander, what's wrong?" Amagi blinked, asking as if she knew nothing.
"No, nothing." Wang Yu had nothing more to say. He couldn't possibly say, "I wanted to remind you to pay attention to hygiene!"
Since she had already finished drinking, saying such things now would be too much of a mood killer.
