Chapter 49: Lich Territory

Crack!—

A decaying arm bone was easily snapped in two by a small foot.

The faint sound caused a blood raven, sleeping on a nearby branch, to lift its head from under its wing.

Its clear, yet somewhat foolish eyes, scanned the surroundings in a daze. Having fulfilled its duty, it tucked its head back under its wing.

“This is Klara White’s territory, how could any living being sneak in here…?”

“I hope that female raven in my dream hasn’t left yet. I haven’t mated with her.”

“Oh, that feeling is so nostalgic…”

“…”

The surroundings once again fell into a deathly silence.

Behind a thick, black withered tree, Wang Qianqian turned her body to look into the far distance.

She had been very careful just now, but the surrounding area, stretching for several kilometers, was covered in bones.

Unless she could fly, there was no way for her to sneak deep inside without making a sound.

“I’ve found the Lich’s territory. I can go back and report the situation to my Lord.”

After careful consideration, Wang Qianqian decided to return to her territory first.

Suddenly!

The boundless bone land began to tremble.

The grating sound of bone friction rose and fell in waves.

At the center of the bone land, a beam of viscous, black-red substance shot straight into the sky.

It contained decaying internal organs and chunks of maggot-infested beast flesh. A nauseating smell quickly permeated the air, reaching Wang Qianqian.

“Ugh…”

Wang Qianqian’s delicate face turned pale, and she felt her stomach churn.

The side effect of her greatly enhanced senses had appeared!

“What is this Lich doing?!”

The little loli, who had been about to leave, hesitated for a moment when she saw this scene. “No, making such a huge commotion must mean he’s up to no good! If it’s targeting Lord, going back now might mean I won’t make it in time!”

Thinking this.

Wang Qianqian patted her cheeks, mustered her courage, and her bright eyes filled with determination.

She tore a piece of fabric from her clothes with her snow-white canine teeth and pressed it tightly against her face.

The foul smell immediately lessened considerably.

Using the disturbance of the bones, she crouched low and quickly moved deeper. At this point, the sound of her footsteps on the bones was already negligible.

Klara leaned against the bone throne, her pale hand propping up her chin.

She watched as the Death Knight shredded the last fierce beast corpse and stuffed it into the blood pool.

She immediately urged impatiently, “Old man, there are enough sacrifices! Hurry up!!”

“My dear daughter, speak to your father with more respect.”

Buzz—

A large amount of hazy death energy suddenly shot out from the blood pillar, hovering before Klara’s eyes.

“Do you not know that your unauthorized crossing of the Trial barrier has already greatly displeased the Great Ruler?”

A harsh, hoarse voice came from within the gray mist, like a throat rubbed with sandpaper ten thousand times, causing discomfort.

“The Great Death Ruler only abandons those forgotten ones who fear death.”

Klara White retorted mockingly, “Like you, a Lich King who dares not face death directly.”

“And also, I am merely your creation, not your daughter.”

“When I ignite my divine flame and go to the Primeval Divine Land, I will personally dismantle your decaying bones into parts to make decorations. The Undead race only needs one Lich King.”

“Only I am worthy of the crown of a King! And you, you should have long since met the Death Ruler.”

Upon hearing this.

The gray mist seemed like boiling water, and after a surge, it condensed into a blurry human face.

“Hehehe!”

“You truly are my good daughter!”

The gray mist seemed to have heard an amusing joke, its tone exaggerated and strange, “Klara, my most perfect creation, I eagerly await the day you ignite your divine flame. Father can’t wait to savor the deliciousness of your soul!”

Klara clearly didn’t want to argue about this matter with him. She glanced indifferently at the blood pillar reaching into the sky and said coldly, “What ceremony is this? Why isn’t it over yet?”

The gray mist human face said indifferently, “Barrier Annihilation Technique.”

??

Klara’s blue eyes suddenly burst into a fierce flame upon hearing this, her emotions somewhat out of control. “It hasn’t even been half a month!”

“You want to forcibly open the Trial barrier???”

“Just because I descended here without permission???”

“Are you insane?!”

She clearly remembered that in her previous life, in the Trial Land, she had waited a full month before coming into conflict with the lords of other races.

The change in the timeline was what made Klara uneasy.

“No!”

Klara suddenly looked up. “The Barrier Annihilation Technique can eliminate the Trial barrier?”

Although she was asking, she actually knew.

As the highest-level rule restriction of the Lord’s Will, the Trial barrier could not be broken by any power except a complete authority of freedom!

“It seems that a sealed authority has escaped…”

The gray mist was clearly unaware of the inside story, merely relaying the Death Ruler’s instructions, “The escape occurred precisely on the first day of the Trial’s start!”

“The Council of Gods unanimously voted to jointly activate the Lord’s Will core, lower the barrier level to initiate the Trial early, and issued the highest-level divine oracle: all believers must find… a Lord with a peerless-grade Light territory characteristic!”

“It just so happens that the area you are in is suitable for using the World-Breaking Divine Art… otherwise, what do you think those suddenly deceased beast hordes were used for?”

“The sacrifices needed for the ritual were missing a part, so you were allowed to gather them on the spot.”

“Therefore, you should feel fortunate, otherwise, your abuse of the Death Ruler’s divine power to cross regions would have resulted in at least a thousand years of imprisonment in the Endless Abyss.”

The conversation fell silent.

Klara’s heart was far from calm upon hearing this; one might even say it was stirred into a tumultuous storm!

A sealed authority!

In her previous life, she had heard that those authorities deemed taboo by the Supreme Main Gods were sealed within a mysterious container called the Solara Magic Box.

They would not enter the territory characteristic drawing pool.

Activating and adjusting the Lord’s Will core, even a subtle change, would require unimaginable divine power.

It was merely a light authority, mostly for support, and as an undead, Klara White didn’t even bat an eyelid.

What exactly were the Supreme Main Gods so anxious about?

Gradually, the blood pillar dissipated into the air, and along with it, the gray mist human face that Klara loathed also vanished.

“The timeline has shifted…”

Klara was contemplating the content of their recent conversation when suddenly, her deep eyes sharply turned to look a thousand meters away. “Who!”

“Oh dear…”

Wang Qianqian, who had been stealthily approaching, immediately stopped, giving an awkward smile. “I accidentally took a wrong turn! I didn’t disturb you, did I, beautiful lady? Goodbye?”

As she spoke, her restless small feet slowly retreated, then she fled towards the outskirts of the bone land without looking back.

“A living being comes here and expects to leave alive?”

Klara gently curved her lips, confidently raised her hands, and lightly clasped them. “Undead Entanglement!”

Vast death energy erupted from within her body.

Countless bones on the ground converged into pairs of giant hands, instantly surrounding Wang Qianqian.

“A third-tier little mouse, stay!”

Klara sat back down on the bone throne, elegantly crossing her two lower legs.

She took a crystal goblet filled with rose-red fruit wine from a nearby skeleton.

Then, she quietly watched as the bone hands seized the human girl.

“If I let you escape within my territory, then I, Klara White, might as well twist off my own head and become a foolish skeleton.”

Klara tilted her head back, pouring the fruit wine into her mouth, closing her eyes, wanting to recall the taste that was almost forgotten deep within her soul.

A moment later, she opened her eyes, about to deal with that little mouse and soothe her soul’s tranquility.

“? Where is she?”

The place where Wang Qianqian had been bound was empty.

Klara shot up, looking towards the distance.

Wang Qianqian had already fled very far.

Behind her, countless bone hands tried to grasp her, but upon touching her, not only did they fail, the death energy covering the bones also completely vanished.

Until Wang Qianqian had completely run out of the bone land, Klara stared blankly at her disappearing back, falling into self-doubt.
