I'm really curious, brothers, where did you all find out about my book?
Heaven and earth are my witnesses, I haven't even signed a contract, so the system shouldn't be recommending me, right?
That's why after I posted chapter seven yesterday, it was flagged for review, all chapters were highlighted in red, and I couldn't modify them, almost leading to a premature end.
I thought I had written something that violated terms or was reported by someone who didn't like it.
It turns out that Tomato suspected me of buying data, but I don't recall ever doing such a thing.
Time will not stop for human emotions.
While everyone was embroiled in debates about The Hunt and Abundance in the heaven's curtain,
Yaoshi's figure vanished.
In its place was a series of beeping, beeping, beeping telegraph sounds.
However, these ancients, who lived in the past, probably considered it some kind of new musical instrument.
Amidst these Morse code sounds, which contained the ultimate secrets of the universe,
the absolutely rational, absolutely precise, and absolutely silent Cyber Star God appeared.
In Black Swan's eloquent words,
Erudition—Erudition.
The intellect star god's emblem appeared.
Its emblem used a book as a background, with a special symbol in front.
In the center was a vertical pupil, surrounded by four compasses, as if measuring the entire universe with the compass's ruler.
Numbers are the only truth in this world.
(Note: The mention of compasses is something I discovered after watching a video; the source is an oil painting, which I will attach at the very end of the article.)
Celestial bodies guard secrets,
Calculations connect the roots of all things.
But it is silent, like the mist at the center of the universe;
Listen to the silence, and you will know where the stars rest.
With the background music and Black Swan's strangely harmonious voice,
countless portraits of Genius Club members rapidly scrolled across the light screen with data streams.
Every single individual who could appear here could be called a navigator for the broad species of intelligent beings.
They acted as standard-bearers, guiding the great ship of cosmic life towards a more distant future.
The screen flickered.
A colossal machine, glowing red, hung high in the cosmos, deeply hidden in the universe's depths, operating silently.
Its steel head was damaged, its paint old.
Broken cables, like tentacles, swayed in the dark universe.
A red indicator light flickered continuously from its ear.
It seemed to be sending a signal to some distant entity.
Electronic messages, with only the flashing interaction of 0s and 1s, are enough to contain everything.
Encoders are a superfluous burden only needed by humans.
Cold steel, the truth of numbers, endless energy, absolute Reason.
All of this converged to form this Star God representing Erudition—Erudition.
Erudition has no time to appreciate the trivial achievements of mortals; everything you do is insignificant in Its eyes.
Its silence is deafening.
What is the relationship between Erudition and the Erudition Society? Is he Its follower, or a faction under him?
That person who was talking to Dragon Master earlier seemed to be a member of the Erudition Society too.
This... this deity, is actually a machine?!
Ah?! These tools we use can actually develop self-awareness and even become deities?
The craftsmen looked at the tools beside them and the metal gradually taking shape in their hands with surprise.
This made them feel a bit hesitant internally, wondering if they would be retaliated against for treating them so violently in the past.
And in the crowd, a person with strange behavior let out a giggle.
He tightly hugged the iron hammer in his hand and kept kissing it.
Hehehe, I knew it. Among everyone at home, you've been with me the longest, you must like me. It's okay, I like you too.
He hugged his iron hammer "wife" and let out strange giggles by himself.
The people around him, accustomed to his behavior, picked up their stools and quietly moved away from him.
Not really familiar, not really familiar.jpg
Alas, mechanics are like this.
Enviable (not).
--
Everything is a question, and everything must have an answer.
Originally a celestial computer used to solve all things, a Star God formed by the sentience of a machine.
Erudition attempts to comprehend the universe and unravel the mysteries of all things.
This is also recorded in the Galactic Roaming Guide.
Emitting the sound of a mechanical head—42.jpg
If the truth of the universe is cruel and uninteresting, do you still crave the answer?
—The seeker of knowledge is noncommittal, for its core has been indifferent and cold since its birth.
—Just like the end of the destiny it pursues.
—Adrian Spencer-Smith, "Fables of the Stars"
----
Compared to the other Star Gods, the existence of this machine-turned-deity brought pure shock to the crowd.
They were not like before, begging for Immortality and Abundance, nor pursuing The Hunt.
There was no fear, no begging, no fanaticism.
The only emotion Erudition evoked in them was shock.
But this does not imply that Erudition is inferior or uninteresting.
On the contrary, this extreme purity of emotion is precisely a manifestation of Reason.
Cold and precise like numbers.
During the Spring and Autumn Period.
A carpenter was planing wood shavings in his home.
After he had finished shaping the wood in his hand with a carving knife, according to the rules of the ink ruler,
he assembled the nearby parts into a wooden kite.
"Machines can also have their own souls," Luban said, looking contentedly at the wooden kite he had finished crafting in the courtyard.
"I still have a long way to go. I wonder if I will live to see you all move?"
On the other side, during the Northern and Southern Dynasties.
Zu Chongzhi, following the ideas in his mind, was sprawled on the floor of his home, continuously calculating the circle-cutting method.
He had been so engrossed in this result that he had forgotten to eat and sleep for a long time.
intellect star god, seeking the root of all things, perhaps everything I do is meaningless to you.
However, the process of seeking the answer is much more interesting than the answer itself.
After Zu Chongzhi looked up at Erudition's appearance, he hunched back down and immersed himself in numerical calculations.
He did not intend to seek help from this intellect star god, nor did he want to obtain answers from It.
Because that would be meaningless.
-----
The scene continued to advance.
The music in their ears changed.
A quiet, low performance, continuously pulling thoughts downward.
Sinking, sinking.
The name of the Nothingness Star God appeared in the image.
Nothingness IX
Its emblem was a fluctuating circular void within a vortex.
The void seemed to be devoured by the vortex behind it, yet it also seemed that the void was pulling the vortex.
Blindfold your eyes, they say,
Lest the approaching gloom make your heart fearful.
For it will teach your soul to be heavy as lead,
And your feet will become numb.
This was the primordial state of the universe.
There were no colorful and brilliant star rivers, no dazzling and bright stars.
Only a vast darkness, dead silence.
Stars no longer emitted light, their cores no longer burned and heated.
Tens of thousands of stars could not escape the pull of gravity; they would eventually be embraced by Nothingness.
In the image.
A black-purple vortex was constantly pulling everything around it.
Here, all physical laws seemed to fail; under the distortion of the black hole, all matter lost its meaning of existence.
And at the center of the vortex,
a chaotic, unknowable object slowly wriggled.
Then, a pair of eyes suddenly emerged from that chaos.
This black hole that devoured everything was the embodiment of Nothingness.
It was so magnificent, as if another starry sky existed within its body.
Or perhaps, was that the previous cosmos?
Time was like an hourglass.
As the sand fell,
the world was gradually moving towards its destined Nothingness.
Irreversible, inescapable.
Resistance was meaningless, just as everything in the world was a manifestation of meaninglessness.
All things resist Nothingness.
All things rush towards Nothingness.
All things become Nothingness.
