Chapter 3: Sunshine Kindergarten
The work efficiency of Beastmen in the interstellar era is beyond doubt.
In just two days, her Kindergarten had been torn down and rebuilt.
The land was cultivated, the Empire's resource subsidies were received in real-time, and the cub simulation training ground was set up in the corresponding classrooms.
Now, she just had to wait for the items she purchased with a loan on the Interstellar Network to arrive.
That's right, her 1 million salary, 5 million Empire subsidy, plus 1 million Aisite Star subsidy, and the original owner's 200,000 savings, totaling 7.2 million, had all been spent, and she even owed the Interstellar Bank 1.5 million.
This was already considering her status as a low-ranking Beastmen noble and a Kindergarten Director for the loan.
But soon, the Kindergarten could open!
If she could recruit students, that is.
Although Interstellar regulations stipulated that cubs had the right and obligation to attend Kindergarten, it still depended on the little cub's wishes and family situation.
Because there were only 12 age-appropriate cubs on this planet eligible for Kindergarten enrollment, Jiang Yuxi didn't build a large Interstellar Kindergarten. She referenced the Kindergartens on Blue Star, directly designating a few acres as the main activity area, and reserving the remaining land for cultivation as a planting area.
She named it Sunshine Kindergarten. There was no special meaning; it was purely because the Kindergarten she attended as a child had that name.
Compared to current Interstellar Kindergartens, Sunshine Kindergarten was small but complete.
It was divided into five major public areas: a teaching area, a training area, a play area, a cafeteria, and a planting area, in addition to her private area.
The teaching area was where cubs had indoor classes, including B-grade simulation training courses.
The training area was equivalent to a playground.
The play area was equipped with various recreational facilities that the soon-to-be-enrolled cubs could use. This was the biggest part of the loan, as it was custom-made.
The front yard planting area mainly grew crops and some medicinal herbs, primarily for teaching. The crops in the planting area of the back yard's private section were the main source of ingredients for the Kindergarten.
According to her memory, the Interstellar nutrient solutions from F-grade to B-grade contained significant impurities. The original owner had never seen or consumed A-grade and S-grade nutrient solutions, so she couldn't distinguish them.
Although she could purify nutrient solutions, in terms of satisfying one's appetite, this nutrient solution was not advantageous.
Moreover, for spirit beasts—no, for Beastmen cubs—eating was more convenient for her to use medicated meals to regulate their bodies.
It really wasn't an excuse. Who wouldn't prefer delicious food over medicinal pills when it came to regulating their bodies?
Three days passed quickly. Some of the ordered items also arrived via Interstellar shipping.
In the past three days, she hadn't been idle. She cultivated (there was no other way; she didn't have the combat power to explore outside yet) and, through the Planet Master, sent out advertisements or rather, notifications, attracting several families who agreed to bring their cubs for a visit—actually, it was for the D-grade growth fluid promised to all visiting cubs as part of the event.
Another five days passed. During these five days, she was either carving arrays or replenishing her spiritual energy. After replenishing her spiritual energy, she would start carving arrays. When her spiritual energy was depleted, she would stop to cultivate, repeating the cycle.
Finally, all the necessary arrays were carved.
This was thanks to the boundless and continuous spiritual energy of the Interstellar.
After distributing the low-grade spirit stones carved with arrays within the designated range, she used her last trace of spiritual energy to plant the seeds she bought online.
Today was the day of the visit, her tenth day on Aisite Star, exactly one month since she transmigrated into this world.
It was indeed a good day.
Early in the morning, Jiang Yuxi got ready and stood at the entrance, waiting for the visiting families.
Bathed in the morning light, with a gentle smile, Jiang Yuxi appeared both noble and kind in the eyes of the invited Beastmen.
Noble: They heard she was a powerful Beastmen from a major planet outside.
Kind: Her smile was truly beautiful, warming the hearts of the Beastmen.
"Good morning, parents and dear little friends."
A total of 7 families and eight cubs came to visit today.
Jiang Yuxi breathed a sigh of relief. As long as she could keep these little Beastmen in the Kindergarten, the Kindergarten's various competition bonuses for the second half of the year would be secure.
These cubs, in her eyes, all seemed to have excellent aptitudes.
However, Jiang Yuxi, who had only briefly browsed the original owner's memories, didn't know that the Interstellar's cub evaluation system was quite different from the Cultivation World's.
Moreover, the original owner was not a graduate of an early childhood education program.
"H-hello." The parents who came were all Beastmen, responding awkwardly. Before coming, they had all received a message from the Planet Master: the new Kindergarten Director was a noble Beastmen.
The cubs all hid behind their parents, curiously looking at her.
"D-Director is good." A small cub's chubby little paw tightly clutched her parent's clothes, her voice soft, sweet, and milky, with a slight tremble.
Jiang Yuxi's eyes lit up. She squatted down to be at eye level with the little cub who greeted her: "Hello, I'm Jiang Yuxi. You can call me Director Jiang. What's your name?" Her sweet, clear voice was soft and gentle, with a hint of childish cuteness.
The little cub was so startled that her light golden-brown ears stood up, and her wet eyes widened, round and glistening. "I-I'm Xia Xia, a Bear Clan Beastmen." The words "Bear Clan Beastmen" were spoken a bit softly.
"Wonderful! Today, Director Jiang will take you on a tour of the Kindergarten and let you experience Kindergarten life, okay?" To attract the little cubs, she surreptitiously released a bit of spiritual energy, almost like cheating. The spirit beast cubs in the Cultivation World all liked her spiritual energy, and she thought the cubs here should be the same.
"Okay~" Xia Xia, the little cub, felt the spiritual energy and indeed relaxed.
Resisting the urge to pet her to her heart's content, she stood up and smiled at all the parents and little cubs, gesturing for them to follow her inside: "I am Jiang Yuxi, a graduate of Di Xing First Comprehensive Academy, and one of this year's outstanding graduates. I was recruited by the Empire to serve as the Kindergarten Director of Aisite Star. This is our Sunshine Kindergarten.
Everyone can look up; the five large characters above are 'Sunshine Kindergarten' written in Interstellar Common Language.
Learning Interstellar Common Language is one of our Kindergarten's special courses.
Let's continue inside. To the left of the path are our Kindergarten's play area and playground. In the future, little cubs can play here during breaks. That's a swing, this is a slide, and that one over there is a seesaw. We'll also add mini mechs later…
To the right of the path is the planting area, where we will plant some common plants and teach children necessary survival knowledge.
Further ahead, the three-story wooden house directly in front of us is the Kindergarten's first teaching building, the main indoor teaching area.
The two-story wooden house to the left of the first teaching building is the second teaching building and the cafeteria. Some handicraft classes will be held in the second teaching building later!
The two-story wooden house on the right, the first floor is the infirmary, and the second floor is the children's rest area. Children enrolled in our Kindergarten will all have one of the most popular growth-type sleeping beds in the Interstellar…"
Jiang Yuxi introduced and guided the parents and cubs through the entire Kindergarten.
Oh, do you want to guess what the little friends' beast forms are?
