Chapter 203: Return to the Ten Directions Mountains

"Mount Shi Fang, we've finally arrived."

After several days, He Xiuyuan finally reached the outskirts of Mount Shi Fang. A little further ahead was Shi Fang Village.

Looking at Shi Fang Village in the distance, He Xiuyuan thought for a moment and decided not to disturb the villagers.

With that thought, He Xiuyuan immediately bypassed the village and headed directly into Mount Shi Fang.

As He Xiuyuan delved deeper into Mount Shi Fang, the surrounding scenery began to feel increasingly familiar.

A moment later, He Xiuyuan successfully arrived at the foot of the Mountain Peak where he resided.

Just as He Xiuyuan was thinking of using his water Spell to fly to the Mountain Peak, he suddenly heard a deafening roar coming from nearby.

He Xiuyuan found the roar somewhat familiar and involuntarily looked in the direction of the sound.

However, with the dense forest blocking his view, He Xiuyuan couldn't see the figure.

But judging by the sound, it was a Tiger.

He just didn't know if it was the same Tiger he had disciplined before.

After a brief thought, He Xiuyuan subtly crooked his finger, and a few droplets of water immediately floated up from the nearby Pond, then carried He Xiuyuan towards the source of the sound.

Just a moment later, He Xiuyuan saw a giant Tiger resting on a large rock.

The giant Tiger was still yawning widely, looking quite content.

Seeing this, He Xiuyuan couldn't help but have a mischievous thought.

"You, old Tiger, why are you roaring so loudly for no reason?"

He Xiuyuan flew above the Tiger's head, and before the Tiger could react, he sat down on its back, then reached out and grabbed its large, fleshy ear.

The Tiger beneath him hadn't realized what was happening when it suddenly felt someone sitting on its back. This immediately startled the Tiger, which roared and stood up, opening its mouth to bite the person behind it.

However, when it turned its head and saw He Xiuyuan, its Tiger body trembled, and it then seemed to be frozen in place, appearing somewhat at a loss.

"Good memory, you still remember me."

He Xiuyuan looked at the large Tiger beneath him and couldn't help but vigorously rub its enormous Tiger head.

Sitting on the Tiger's back, he could truly feel how massive its head was.

The Tiger beneath him, being vigorously grabbed and rubbed by He Xiuyuan, let out a low growl, feeling its dignity as the King of Beasts insulted.

However, He Xiuyuan, hearing the low growl, tapped the Tiger's big head with his hand, "What are you growling about? I just rubbed you a few times."

With He Xiuyuan's tap, the Tiger immediately felt pain. Remembering the scene where He Xiuyuan had pinned it to the ground and beaten it, the Tiger immediately rolled over, showing its belly to He Xiuyuan as a sign of submission.

He Xiuyuan found this somewhat amusing. He rubbed its belly with his hand, feeling that the texture was indeed quite good.

"You're behaving quite well. When the villagers from Shi Fang Village came in, you didn't attack them, did you? If you did, don't blame me for being harsh on you."

He Xiuyuan said, standing up and no longer teasing the Tiger.

With a wave of his hand, he summoned a ball of water, which then carried He Xiuyuan towards the Mountain Peak.

The Tiger below watched He Xiuyuan fly towards the Mountain Peak, its round eyes filled with great confusion.

He was puzzled; he didn't understand why this human could fly.

Although this was the second time he had seen it, he was still very confused.

........

"I'm back. I wonder where Crane Brother is now. Is he guarding that Fellow Daoist, or..."

After He Xiuyuan flew to the Mountain Peak, he looked at the fruit trees he had planted nearby and then at the Pond in the middle, a smile on his face.

The crane wasn't there, but He Xiuyuan estimated that the crane should still be in its old spot, so he wasn't worried.

After tidying up everything on the Mountain Peak, He Xiuyuan put away the yuxintang paper and then, following the methods described in the Daoist magic, offered the yuxintang paper.

Next, He Xiuyuan also tidied up a place for himself to live.

With this, staying in this place for a while should not be a problem.

And as He Xiuyuan busied himself, time quickly passed until evening.

The chickens he had caught before seemed to be living quite well up here; they were still clucking and running around wildly nearby.

Just as He Xiuyuan was thinking about whether to kill a chicken for a meal, a crane's cry came from a distance.

Then, following the direction of the setting sun, a shadow directly covered this Mountain Peak. Subsequently, accompanied by the sound of flapping wings, He Xiuyuan looked closely.

It was indeed the crane flying towards him from afar.

At this moment, the crane also noticed He Xiuyuan. Something seemed to flash in its eyes, and then it flapped its wings and landed directly on the Mountain Peak.

He Xiuyuan looked at the crane, a smile also appearing on his face.

"When I came up just now, I didn't see you. I was wondering where you went."

He Xiuyuan approached and spoke to the crane.

The crane heard him, raised its head slightly, looked at He Xiuyuan, and then lowered its head to preen its feathers. Compared to before, the crane was still the same, seemingly disinclined to interact with people.

He Xiuyuan was already immune to this, so he didn't mind, and instead continued to speak.

"Crane Brother, I will be staying here for a while to comprehend some Taoist magic. You and I will be able to accompany each other for quite a long time."

The crane, hearing He Xiuyuan's words, paused slightly, raised its eyes to look at He Xiuyuan, and then lowered its head to preen its feathers again.

He Xiuyuan didn't mind this. Seeing some fruit still on the nearby fruit trees, he picked some to taste, using them to fill his stomach, while beginning to comprehend the Taoist magic he had obtained earlier.

When He Xiuyuan came to Mount Shi Fang, he was already comprehending the Qi Gathering and Spirit Nurturing Spell. Over the past few days, He Xiuyuan had indeed gained some insights.

"Crane Brother, do you know if there are any medicinal herbs nearby? Could you help me gather some later? I want to see if I can use the Dao I've learned to cultivate these medicinal herbs."

He Xiuyuan looked at the Dao in his hand and decided to give it a try.

The yuxintang paper still needed some time of offering before it could be used for casting Spells. He couldn't just wait around during this time, so He Xiuyuan wanted to first learn the Qi Gathering and Spirit Nurturing Spell.

Even if he couldn't use it to refine Medicinal Pills, making some pills to treat illnesses and save people would also be good.

The crane, hearing He Xiuyuan's words, paused slightly, then nodded to indicate understanding. Afterwards, he raised his neck, stretched his body, and flapped his wings to go rest nearby.
