Chapter 18: Tang San: Another Child of Destiny?
“That’s how it happened!”
Mo Yan recounted the entire story to Jin Tianming, who remained silent for a moment before saying, somewhat exasperated, “You guys…”
“It’s my fault. You don’t need to blame Engulfing Sky Dragon.”
“Good that you know!”
Seeing Mo Yan admit her mistake so readily, Jin Tianming didn't bother to get angry. He transferred the newly acquired destiny through a mental link to Mo Yan, instructing, “This is the destiny I just obtained. Figure out how to inject it into Engulfing Sky Dragon, and tell him not to act recklessly next time.”
“It’s fine if we die, but if he dies, we’re done for too!”
“Understood.” Mo Yan replied. As if remembering something, she picked up the secret technique on the table and, using her powerful spiritual energy, duplicated a copy for Jin Tianming, then continued.
“This was created by Engulfing Sky Dragon using Dragon Soul. Find some time to cultivate it, and show it to that guy Mo Xie as well.”
Jin Tianming glanced at the secret techniques, replied, “Understood,” and then disconnected Mo Yan’s mental link.
“Mo Xie!”
“Golden Dragon!” Mo Xie immediately emerged from the shadows in the room, kneeling on one knee respectfully.
Two faint golden lights appeared from Jin Tianming’s fingertips and directly entered Mo Xie’s mind. Mo Xie had no defenses; Jin Tianming and the other two were his masters. If they wanted him to die, he would die without hesitation.
Everything he had now was given by them, so everything he had was theirs, including his life!
“What I’ve given you is the secret technique the Holy Master gave me. You figure out how to learn it.” Jin Tianming explained after doing this. The stronger Mo Xie became, the easier the upcoming tasks would be.
“Yes.”
“You can go look at it first. I don’t need you here for now, you may withdraw!” Jin Tianming waved his hand, dismissing Mo Xie.
Mo Xie said nothing more, his figure merging back into the shadows.
Jin Tianming swirled the teacup in his hand, pondering the answer Jing Hongchen had just given him. He had thought this old man would choose the temptation of breaking through to Super Douluo at rank 95, but he hadn’t expected him to choose the qualification to evolve his grandson’s or granddaughter’s Martial Soul.
Truly interesting—
Tianhun Empire Border
Mo Yan took out the destiny Jin Tianming had acquired and, without a second thought, injected it into Tian Mucheng’s body, praying in her heart for the Holy Master to awaken quickly.
God Realm
“Strange, why is there a trace of destiny power appearing at the border of the Tianhun Empire?” Tang San noticed the changes on the Douluo Continent and looked over curiously. The Douluo Plane’s destiny had changed again, and he had to take it seriously.
One change in destiny was fine, but a second change definitely indicated a problem.
“Is the Douluo Plane trying to create another Child of Destiny?”
With doubts in his heart, Tang San stared intently at the Tianhun Empire’s border, wanting to see through this trace of destiny.
But after watching for a long time, he still didn't see the result he wanted. Could it be that he was overthinking things?
“Perhaps I’ve been too tired recently, and my perception is mistaken.” Tang San looked carefully several more times, finding no desired result, and decided he was overthinking it. This change in destiny should be normal, just like the last time.
When Tian Mucheng opened his eyes again, his consciousness had returned to his body. He sat up, clutching his head to relieve the discomfort. His mind felt like it had been stirred into a mess with a stick, extremely uncomfortable.
But soon he realized something was off; his other hand was holding something. Why was it so soft?
This feeling shouldn't be the feel of a blanket. He looked over curiously, and his troubled expression suddenly turned to silence.
Why were Dugu Yan and Dugu Luo lying on either side of him?
“Oh, you’re awake!” Mo Yan, who was sitting by the table leisurely drinking tea, smiled and spoke as soon as she saw Tian Mucheng open his eyes. She then didn’t forget to tease, “How do you feel?”
Tian Mucheng immediately withdrew his hand. Although it felt very good, saying so would be impolite. He retorted, “Why are they both here next to me?”
“To let the great Holy Master taste the so-called ‘covered rice.’ This should be your first time experiencing it, Holy Master.” Mo Yan said with a smirk.
Tian Mucheng was too lazy to bother with Mo Yan’s mischievousness. He got up, got out of bed, and left the room. He needed some fresh air.
Seeing that the Holy Master ignored her, Mo Yan felt a bit bored. The moment the door closed, Mo Yan looked at Dugu Yan on the bed and said, “Miss Dugu Yan, are you still going to sleep?”
Dugu Yan had woken up earlier than the Holy Master, but she seemed to be pretending to sleep out of embarrassment. Humans are truly interesting creatures.
Dugu Yan, seeing her feigned sleep exposed, sat up and looked at Mo Yan, who was sitting there, feeling somewhat awkward. “Um…” She was so embarrassed she didn’t know what to say.
“Let me see your Martial Soul now.” Mo Yan naturally saw the embarrassment on Dugu Yan’s face and changed the subject, thinking, “I didn’t expect a thirty-year-old woman to be this shy.”
Dugu Yan breathed a sigh of relief at her words and immediately released her Martial Soul.
Outside the room, Tian Mucheng walked out and saw Xiao Xue standing by the door. When she saw Tian Mucheng emerge, her eyes subtly widened. Was this the Holy Master?
Tian Mucheng keenly caught the trace of surprise in Xiao Xue’s eyes and asked curiously, “What’s wrong?”
Xiao Xue, seeing Tian Mucheng question her, honestly replied, “Holy Master, has your hair turned white?”
“?” Tian Mucheng was also slightly stunned by this answer, then said, “Do you have a mirror for me to see?”
Xiao Xue immediately controlled ice elements to conjure a small mirror and handed it to Tian Mucheng.
Tian Mucheng took the mirror from Xiao Xue’s hand and looked at his current appearance. “Emmm, it seems quite good-looking.”
His black hair had turned white, and white was within his acceptable range. If it were green, he might have cried.
“Am I handsome?” Tian Mucheng unconsciously asked Xiao Xue.
Xiao Xue heard the question, carefully examined Tian Mucheng, and replied, “Very handsome, it adds a different kind of feeling.”
“That’s good!” Tian Mucheng nodded in satisfaction.
“Holy Master, you are handsome no matter how you change.” Xiao Xue praised him again. For her, no matter how the Holy Master changed, he would always be her moonlight in her heart.
Tian Mucheng chuckled at her words and looked out the window, lost in thought. He now had one chance for Dragon Soul to act, but it couldn’t be too significant.
The Dragon Soul’s true Engulfing Sky Dragon is in the distant depths of the universe. He can only exert a tiny bit of power temporarily through his body, this small medium.
Iliex, Shrek’s Golden Ancient Tree, Star Dou Great Forest’s Silver Dragon King, Sun Moon Empire’s Evil Soul Forest’s Evil Eye Tyrant, Extreme North Land’s Snow Empress, the Dragon Valley that appeared in Douluo San…
He seemed to have forgotten a very important place. Tian Mucheng rubbed his forehead, trying hard to recall, and soon remembered the name of that place: ‘Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well,’ the fallen place of the two great Dragon Kings, Ice Dragon King and Fire Dragon King.
This transformation really wore him out; he almost got his memories messed up! Although his Soul Power dropped to rank 17, that’s not a big deal; he often drops in rank anyway. But if his mind and memories were gone, that would be a huge problem!
The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, how to put it, is the most important resource for the protagonists in the entire Douluo series. If the ironclad Awakening Master is Su Yuntao, then the ironclad resource is the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
Tang San used it, then his son-in-law used it, then his son used it, then his grandson used it, and his grandson used all of it.
What ‘Douluo Continent is Tang San’s great garden’? The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well is the Tang family’s true great garden!
Tian Mucheng fell into thought, pondering how to take it without anyone knowing. He couldn’t possibly leave it for Huo Yuhao and Tang San’s daughter, unless Huo Yuhao became his Dragon Slave, but the premise was not to be discovered by Tang San.
This is a big project. The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well must have great destiny, but there’s also a wisp of Tang San’s divine sense on this opportunity.
Xiao Xue saw Tian Mucheng’s furrowed brow. She really wanted to share the Holy Master’s worries, but since the Holy Master hadn’t spoken, she couldn’t ask.
This was the most basic principle of a Dragon Slave.
