Chapter 8: Small World, Stealing Dragon Cloud Dragon Valley

Before the fist landed, everyone thought they were warriors capable of keeping secrets, but how many could truly do so?

Halosa stopped, looking at him coldly.

“This… this is the Dragon Valley… entrance! We… we are from the Tang Sect… ordered to be here… guarding the passage… waiting to send a group of young disciples into the Dragon Valley for trials… just now… just now we were opening the passage…” The old man spoke incoherently, spilling all the secrets of the Dragon Valley’s entrance and the Tang Sect’s mission like beans from a bamboo tube, only begging for his life.

“Opening the passage.” Halosa understood, it was as he had guessed, and he commanded, his voice brooking no argument.

The old man endured the severe pain and added in terror: “Senior… the Dragon Valley has rules… cultivators above a Five-ring Spirit King… cannot enter… they will be repelled by the Dragon Valley’s space…”

“Less nonsense, open it!” Halosa interrupted him, his tone chilling.

The old man dared not say more, forcing himself to endure the intense pain, once again unleashing his spirit power, nine spirit rings appearing, and he desperately activated his Spirit’s true form. A circle of white light rippled out with difficulty, and the space at the top of the mountain began to distort again, the dark crack slowly appearing.

At the same time, with a thought from Halosa, the Netherworld Gate silently opened beside the limp Hei Yi. A bony claw covered in dark grey armor reached out, grabbing Hei Yi and dragging him inside. The gate closed.

Just a few breaths later, the Netherworld Gate opened again. Hei Yi was “spat” out. The aura around him had completely changed! The powerful spirit power fluctuations that originally belonged to a Spirit Douluo had vanished without a trace, replaced by a cold, deathly silent aura, his cultivation realm forcibly suppressed to the level of a Four-ring Spirit Ancestor!

Even more bizarre, his four spirit rings had strikingly turned pure black! Emitting an ominous aura.

Immediately following, a seed-shaped object burning with a faint green flame suddenly flew out from the brow of a silently standing Undead Knight nearby.

The moment the faint green flame bone seed was extracted from the Undead Knight, the grey-blue flames in its eye sockets abruptly extinguished, the dark grey energy forming its body rapidly dissipated, and its hard armor and bones clattered to the ground, completely disintegrating into a pile of dry bones—a Super Douluo-level Undead Knight with Three-Word Battle Armor combat power was thus rendered useless.

Halosa looked at the pile of dry bones, a flicker of imperceptible heartache in his eyes. The cost was not small. But the faint green flame bone seed did not stop, “whoosh” it plunged into Hei Yi’s brow!

“Ugh ah—!” Hei Yi let out a painful roar that was not human, his body trembling violently, his pupils instantly consumed by faint green flames, as if countless earthworms were wriggling under his skin, his entire aura becoming even more sinister and eerie, highly homologous to the death aura emanating from Halosa.

“Go in!” Halosa ordered the strangely behaving, hollow-eyed Hei Yi.

Hei Yi’s body moved stiffly, like a manipulated puppet, walking step by step towards the dark space crack that had just stabilized. Upon touching the edge of the crack, the faint green light on his body flickered slightly, and he was absorbed into it without any hindrance, disappearing into the darkness.

Halosa watched Hei Yi disappear, then glanced at the pile of dry bones on the ground and the dying old man, finally his gaze fell on the crack leading to the Dragon Valley, a cold and mocking arc curving his lips:

“Rules? Those are for the weak.”

He no longer looked at the person on the ground, his figure flashed, and he was already standing before the dark space crack, his deep gaze seeming to penetrate this passage, directly looking at the ultimate burial ground of the Dragon Clan.

As Hei Yi, or rather Halosa, entered the Dragon Valley, Halosa’s perspective also showed the inside of the Dragon Valley.

The sky was azure blue, clearly resembling a small World.

Halosa felt the strength of this body, “How magical, spirit power is actually suppressed to this extent, I can’t even activate my Spirit.”

The Dragon Valley is the burial ground of the Dragon Clan, existing as a separate small World, currently still attached to Douluo Star. In the original work, after the Dragon God core was taken away, the Dragon Valley small World began to detach from Douluo Star, drifting, and finally attaching to the Heavenly Dragon Star.

Halosa had also entered other small Worlds, but most of them were unstable and collapsed as soon as he entered, let alone having any opportunities inside.

The only one with anything was a small World belonging to the Netherworld, filled with skeletons, which he could enter through his Spirit Ability, the Netherworld Gate.

This was also the means Halosa possessed as the anchor connecting Douluo Star to the Netherworld.

A bone sword appeared in Halosa’s hand, “Fortunately, the remaining spirit power allows me to use spirit tools. Tang Sect people are really rich; a mere Spirit Douluo actually has so many spirit tools and rare metals.”

Although these spirit tools could not unleash their full power under the suppression of the Dragon Valley’s rules, they were better than nothing.

Halosa’s consciousness dominated Hei Yi’s body, standing still, carefully sensing this small World named Dragon Valley.

Underfoot were rolling hills covered with sparse vegetation, and a faint mist permeated the air, limiting visibility and preventing him from seeing too far. The most noticeable feeling was that his body felt much heavier; the gravity here was significantly stronger than on the Douluo Continent.

He stepped forward, walking out of the hilly area, and his vision suddenly opened up to a vast plain. Looking up, at an altitude of about a hundred meters from the ground, peculiar clouds floated.

Halosa immediately recognized them as the “Dragon Clouds” unique to the Dragon Valley, mentioned in the original work, formed by a mixture of pure dragon qi and natural energy.

What invigorated him even more was that among the auras emanating from these Dragon Clouds, besides the dense Dragon Clan pressure, there was also a power he was incredibly familiar with—an extremely pure Death power, originating from the long-ended lives of the Dragon Clan.

Although this power was enveloped by dragon qi, its inherent purity far surpassed the death energy of sea Spirit Beasts he had absorbed outside.

“The Dragon Clan… truly powerful.” Halosa mused, “Even after countless years since their demise, the lingering Death aura is so pure.” This was crucial for him to restore his true power and enhance his Netherworld undead soul core.

It hardly needed any purification to be converted into undead resentment.

However, these Dragon Clouds floated high in the sky, and with his current body, whose strength was suppressed to only a Four-ring Spirit Ancestor by the Dragon Valley’s rules, he couldn’t reach them. He remembered that in the original work, Tang Wulin could attract Dragon Clouds closer by relying on his Golden Dragon King bloodline.

But fortunately, he had prepared in advance.

“Let’s try it.” Halosa’s mind stirred, attempting to activate the aura of the Death Dragon Bone implanted in Hei Yi’s body. A faint, cold fluctuation, carrying the unique pressure of a Death Dragon Clan, emanated from this body.

The effect was immediate! Several Dragon Clouds in the sky seemed to be drawn by something, swaying slightly, and began to slowly descend, drifting towards Halosa’s position!

A sharp glint flashed in Halosa’s eyes, and he raised his hand without hesitation. A deep, grey vortex emanating a Netherworld aura—the Netherworld Gate—silently opened before him.

As those attracted Dragon Clouds approached, an invisible suction force suddenly erupted from within the gate, directly “swallowing” them inside!

The gate quickly closed and disappeared.
