Chapter 1: Reincarnation

Southwest of the Heaven Dou Empire, Fasnuo Province, west of Notting City, in the fields of Fengshou Village.

Golden wheat ears swayed their full figures under the setting sun. Fields of rice paddies stretched out, crisscrossing each other.

A figure was seen constantly moving through the yellowish-brown fields, and golden wheat ears flew rapidly behind the figure like shattered shadows. That figure was like a fawn, swift yet agile.

Upon closer inspection, that figure had dark fine hair. Under the sunlight, his hair shimmered with a deep sea glow. His tender face revealed a resilience unbefitting his age.

Sweat clung to his black linen clothes, highlighting some firm contours and revealing his lithe physique.

The young man galloping through the fields was named Ye Lan. Ye Lan was not a native of the Douluo Continent, but rather reincarnated from Blue Star.

In his previous life on Blue Star, Ye Lan heard a sharp honk while crossing the road.

Ye Lan turned his head and saw a huge, out-of-control dump truck speeding towards him.

Facing this giant red monster, Ye Lan could have directly dodged backward to avoid the dump truck's path.

But there was also a pair of cute elementary school students holding hands in front of Ye Lan. Ye Lan gritted his teeth and bravely lunged towards the students.

With a bang, Ye Lan was like a kite with a broken string. He was instantly knocked more than ten meters away by the dump truck, then continuously tumbled on the concrete ground. Ye Lan's consciousness gradually blurred, and he only heard beeping sounds and some negotiations.

"Blind spot, didn't see it."

"I thought it was a speed bump!"

"It's not easy for anyone."

"Talk to my insurance!"

Ye Lan, in his blurred consciousness, was almost angered back to life by the dump truck driver. The silver lining was that the two elementary school students were saved, which did not let down Ye Lan's subconscious act of kindness.

Perhaps it was Ye Lan's act of kindness, or the reason for the reincarnation vehicle in another World, but Ye Lan was directly reincarnated onto the Douluo Continent.

Ye Lan initially didn't know where he had reincarnated, but only gradually heard information about Soul Masters and Martial Souls from adults' conversations as he grew older.

Ye Lan suddenly realized that he had reincarnated into a novel he had read in his previous life: Douluo Continent. So Ye Lan put away his childish, laid-back, eat-and-drink mentality.

He began exercising at a few years old, and as for why Ye Lan started exercising so early, it was certainly not to become an athlete.

In the Douluo Continent, only by becoming a Soul Master could one have influence and status.

Soul Masters were the rulers of the Douluo Continent. If Ye Lan could not awaken innate Soul Power, then he could only become one of the common people, one of the ruled.

Perhaps at some point in the future, he would be affected by the great war between the Sea God, Angel God, and Rakshasa God.

Affected by the Spirit Empire's unification war. Ye Lan did not want to die so casually; he wanted to control his own destiny.

In the Douluo Continent, everyone could awaken their Martial Soul and innate Soul Power through the Martial Soul Awakening Ceremony at the age of six.

Generally speaking, the stronger the Martial Soul, the higher the innate Soul Power. Cultivation aptitude is related to innate Soul Power; without innate Soul Power, one cannot absorb Soul Power and become a Soul Master.

According to the plot Ye Lan knew from the book in his previous life, it could be roughly inferred that physical fitness was very important. Physical fitness was related to the age limit of a Soul Ring!

If one's physical fitness was poor when awakening their Martial Soul, it was very possible that even if they could awaken a powerful Martial Soul, the Martial Soul would be dragged down by the body, leading to low innate Soul Power, thereby affecting the Martial Soul's quality and cultivation speed.

Just like the theory master Yu Xiaogang, who originally could have benignly mutated his family's inherited Martial Soul, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon, into the Golden Saint Dragon Martial Soul!

But unfortunately, the Golden Saint Dragon was dragged down by Yu Xiaogang's half-level innate Soul Power, malignantly mutating into Luo San Pao, who could only fart.

If Ye Lan also had such a result, he would not be able to accept it.

After Ye Lan was able to walk, he continuously began simple exercises, but he would not overly exhaust his body's functions, to prevent becoming short and stout.

Besides exercise, the more important thing was dietary supplements. Man is iron, rice is steel. Since Ye Lan could remember, meat, eggs, and milk had never been absent.

Ye Lan, who had no worries about food and clothing in the Douluo Continent, was actually also unfortunate.

Around the time Ye Lan was three years old, his parents suddenly disappeared. Ye Lan only remembered that year, he was held by the lone wolf Soul Master Su Yuntao, crying bitterly. Su Yuntao told Ye Lan: Your parents are gone. I will raise you well from now on.

Su Yuntao was the Spirit Hall deacon who helped Tang San awaken in the novel of Ye Lan's previous life. Ye Lan's parents and Su Yuntao were colleagues. The three had close and intimate interactions, and Su Yuntao called Ye Lan's father 'Big Brother' and his mother 'Sister-in-law'.

Whenever Ye Lan pressed for details about his parents' disappearance, Su Yuntao would be vague and change the subject. Ye Lan was very puzzled by this; there was likely another hidden reason.

In his previous life, Ye Lan was an orphan. So, being able to have parents in this life was extremely fortunate for Ye Lan. In the dark World before he opened his eyes as an infant, Ye Lan constantly clung to that warm embrace, enjoying motherly love as gentle as water. His mother even smiled and told his father, "Xiao Lan is really too clingy!"

Since Ye Lan's parents disappeared, Ye Lan was fostered by Su Yuntao in the home of Fengshou Village Chief Tom. Whenever Su Yuntao had a holiday, he would rush from the Spirit Sub-Hall to Fengshou Village to visit Ye Lan.

Ye Lan's food supplement funds came from Su Yuntao's sponsorship. Thanks to Ye Lan's conscious exercise and ample food, Ye Lan was half a head taller than his peers, and his physique was not as thin and small as other boys his age.

In the evening, Ye Lan, who was sweaty from exercising, returned to Chief Tom's house.

Before Ye Lan even entered the door, he smelled the aroma of meat. Ye Lan hurriedly pushed the door open. He saw Tom sitting in front of the stove, holding a branch in his hand, on which was skewered a golden crispy roasted chicken.

Tom looked at Ye Lan's gaze, which was tightly fixed on the roasted chicken, and laughed: "Xiao Lan, don't rush. The roasted chicken will be ready soon, go wash your face quickly, your face is dirty, you look like a little beggar now!"

Ye Lan scratched his head. There was nothing he could do; exercising consumed too much, and he was extremely hungry now.

"Am I not admiring your craftsmanship, Grandpa?" Ye Lan said with a smile.

"Grandpa roasted it especially for you, go quickly, go quickly."

In a moment, Ye Lan had finished washing the dirt from his face and hands. Ye Lan's tender little hand grabbed a chicken leg and began to gnaw on it.

Tom disassembled the roasted chicken while saying to Ye Lan: "Master Su Yuntao will come to our Fengshou Village tomorrow. Besides visiting you, he will also hold this year's Fengshou Village Martial Soul Awakening Ceremony."

"Xiao Lan, you are six years old this year, and you have reached the age for Martial Soul awakening. Tomorrow, do whatever Master Su Yuntao tells you to do, and don't be mischievous."

"How old do you think I am? I won't be mischievous. I've been waiting for this day for a long time. I exercise every day. I will definitely be able to awaken innate Soul Power!" Ye Lan straightened his body and retorted.
