Chapter 32: Blue Silver Forest
At noon the next day, Bai Yu moved like Gui Mei through the forest.
A golden pouch hung from his waist, and a crystalline Blue Silver Grass protruded from it, swaying from side to side as if observing its surroundings.
"Your Excellency, do you need me to guide the way?"
Ah Yin's soft voice sounded in Bai Yu's ear.
"No need to be nosy, I know the tribal land of your lineage!"
Hearing Ah Yin's question, Bai Yu replied coldly, thinking to himself:
"What's going on? It should be around here, right? But if I'm close, I should feel it, shouldn't I?"
Listening to Bai Yu still being stubborn, Ah Yin almost couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"Ahem, but Your Excellency, you've gone too far. My tribal land is to the back left."
"Nosy!" Bai Yu's eye twitched. Damn it, this was truly embarrassing. He quickly turned around and ran back.
As he approached the Blue Silver Forest, Bai Yu felt the emotions emanating from within the forest.
It was like cheers, welcoming their Emperor, like a child's adoration, calling for their mother.
"Emperor! You've finally returned, our Emperor!"
With an ancient voice, the entire Blue Silver Forest glowed with blue phosphorescence, and stalks of Blue Silver Grass stretched out from the ground, waving their leaves.
Ah Yin floated out from the spirit tool, a phantom figure appearing, a somewhat bitter smile on her face, then she spoke softly:
"My people, I have returned!"
Ah Yin's voice spread throughout the entire forest through the Blue Silver Domain.
"Emperor! Come in quickly, your people are still anticipating your return!"
The ancient voice came again. In the forest, as Ah Yin's voice echoed, the blue light grew even brighter, transforming the forest into a blue ocean.
Ah Yin turned to look at Bai Yu. Bai Yu reached out, cradling her true form in his hand, and walked into the forest.
Arriving at the center of the forest, an extremely massive Blue Silver King appeared before Bai Yu, making him click his tongue in admiration.
"Emperor, you've grown weaker, but it doesn't matter. With us here, you'll recover very quickly."
On the Blue Silver King's enormous body, a human face appeared, speaking kindly to the phantom Ah Yin.
"Elder, I'm back, I've missed you so much!"
Bai Yu listened to Ah Yin's slightly tearful voice and grinned. It seemed these past few days had been quite a blow to her. Then he spoke:
"You two chat first. I'll go wander around outside for a bit. I'll come tell you when I'm leaving."
Ah Yin looked at Bai Yu, her expression changing several times, then she agreed.
"Thank you, Your Excellency, for bringing me back. Please make yourself at home, Your Excellency. Be sure to inform Ah Yin before you leave."
"Got it."
Bai Yu waved his hand, walked to a distance, and admired the blue ocean for a while, feeling it was quite beautiful.
He then found a small cave, took out several small pieces of refined gold and deep-sea sinking silver, and began to carve array patterns, muttering:
"I'm level seventy now. I'll make a spirit ring myself. It just so happens I've thoroughly infused Ah Yin before, so familiar it couldn't be more so. A Blue Silver Emperor spirit ring is perfect for a Spirit Avatar."
"It's a pity I can't make a ninth-level one, otherwise I'd also be a red-ringed Spirit Saint. An eighth-level one won't do either; my mental force isn't strong enough to last. Don't even think about it for half a year."
"I wanted to try condensing a ring myself before, but it requires gathering a large amount of spirit power in a short time, and also shaping and engraving the Spirit Ability. It's so much effort and not necessarily successful, so forget it!"
In the blink of an eye, five days had passed. During these five days, besides occasionally making a few remarks about Bie San in the Chronicle of Light and Shadow, Bai Yu was mostly busy crafting this seventh-level Soul Convergence Seal.
"Finally finished! High-level stuff is just so intricate. When I can make a ninth-level Soul Convergence Seal in the future, this system will be complete."
"Over two years, I wonder what progress the people learning the spirit tool data I sent back to Spirit City have made. Maybe I should hand over the research on this Soul Convergence Seal to them."
Bai Yu stood up and walked out of the cave, his short hair disheveled, paired with two large dark circles under his eyes, looking as if his body had been hollowed out.
He walked all the way to the center of the forest, seeing Ah Yin's massive true form absorbing blue phosphorescence, currently recovering her cultivation.
Bai Yu's arrival made Ah Yin stop cultivating. She condensed a phantom figure and looked at Bai Yu's disheveled appearance, somewhat surprised.
"What have you been doing? Are you leaving now?"
Bai Yu nodded and said, "That's right, I'm leaving. I came to tell you."
Ah Yin's expression changed, then she gritted her teeth and pleaded with Bai Yu.
"Can I come with you? I want to go find someone."
Bai Yu narrowed his eyes, thinking to himself, 'I knew you couldn't resist.' Then he intentionally made his voice cold.
"What? Do you want to defy orders and let your lineage be exterminated?"
As Bai Yu's voice sounded, the massive Blue Silver King began to tremble, and a giant human face appeared, looking at Bai Yu.
Bai Yu glanced at the Blue Silver King, then looked at Ah Yin: "Do you think it can back you up?"
Ah Yin shook her head, turned to the Blue Silver King, and said, "Elder, don't worry, I'll handle it."
Then she spoke to Bai Yu:
"I know you're very strong, but you won't kill us. You, as a human disguised with a Spirit Beast's aura, bringing me back to my tribal land, means you won't make a move."
Bai Yu's lips curled up as he looked at Ah Yin and chuckled.
"Hehe, when did you figure that out? Also, do you know why I brought you back?"
Ah Yin shook her head and said:
"I knew it when you were helping me recover. You have the aura of Blue Silver Grass on you, but only the Emperor can reach 100,000 years and take human form, and there's only one Emperor in the Blue Silver Grass clan."
"So the Blue Silver Grass aura on you can only be a Spirit. As for why you brought me back, I don't know."
Bai Yu laughed heartily, thinking that she had found a rather legitimate reason. Had she been thinking about this for the past few days?
He then said, "Then I'll tell you, I have an enmity with Tang Hao. Bringing you back was intentionally to disgust him. Do you still want to come with me?"
Ah Yin's expression changed repeatedly. She hadn't expected Bai Yu to say such a thing. However, Ah Yin had no choice; only by going with Bai Yu could she find Tang Hao as quickly as possible.
Just as Ah Yin didn't know what to do, Bai Yu changed the subject.
"If you want me to take you to find Tang Hao, that's fine, but agree to one condition: tell your people that no human is allowed to enter the Blue Silver Forest in the future, especially humans with the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline!"
Ah Yin's expression froze, and she looked at Bai Yu helplessly.
She hadn't even confirmed whether Tang San was her child yet. If Bai Yu was lying to her, what would happen to her child?
After thinking for a while, Ah Yin decided she still needed to go out and find someone, so she agreed to Bai Yu's terms.
"Okay, I agree! Elder, you heard him, right? Do as he says!"
The Blue Silver King looked at Ah Yin and said, "I obey your command, my Emperor. If you don't fare well outside, then come back."
"Thank you, Elder, Ah Yin understands!"
Ah Yin looked at the Blue Silver King, a flash of reluctance in her eyes.
Bai Yu saw that Ah Yin had agreed to his terms and said with a smile:
"Since you've agreed, I'll take you, but let's be clear first, you have to listen to me when we're outside!"
