Chapter 63: Transaction
The next day, Bai Yu, with a faint palm print on his face, slipped out of the Crown Prince Residence.
“Tsk, as expected, being stubborn is human nature. Calling me ‘husband’ when clothes are off, but hitting me when clothes are on. It really hurts!”
Bai Yu muttered to himself while using his spirit power to heal. By the time he returned to the academy, the handprint on his face had disappeared.
Today, he planned to go to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well to help Ah Yin recover using the favorable terrain. He wanted to say hello to Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong.
Bai Yu hummed a tune as he walked towards Zhu Zhuqing’s dormitory. Before he even reached the place, Master Yu’s voice came from beside his ear.
“Bai Yu, wait a moment, I have something I want to talk to you about!”
He tilted his head, glanced at Master Yu, and said lazily:
“Ah, it’s Grandmaster. What is it? Say it, I have something urgent to do too.”
Master Yu leaned on his crutch, looking at Bai Yu’s careless demeanor, his expression somewhat unpleasant.
“Come with me, it’s not convenient to talk here.”
Bai Yu scratched the corner of his mouth, a look of doubt flashing in his eyes.
He didn’t know what Master Yu was up to. Just as he was about to refuse, he sensed someone watching them from not far away, and his tone changed.
“Alright, Grandmaster, please lead the way.”
Hearing that Bai Yu was willing to talk to him, Master Yu’s expression improved considerably, and he turned to walk towards his dormitory.
Bai Yu yawned, following along with a bored expression. Although he didn’t know what Gang Zi was planning, he didn’t mind finding some fun.
“Bai Yu, I want to ask you to heal my leg. As long as you agree, you can name any condition!”
As soon as the two entered the room, Master Yu impatiently spoke, wanting Bai Yu to heal his leg.
Bai Yu ignored the eager Master Yu, walked to the desk, sat down, rested his chin on his hand, and said indifferently:
“Didn’t I tell you about this? It’s incurable, and I don’t have the cultivation method. Why are you so persistent, Grandmaster?”
Hearing Bai Yu’s words, Master Yu really wanted to shout, ‘Is it incurable?! You just look down on me!!!’
He then took two deep breaths, calmed the anger in his heart, and said to Bai Yu:
“No, I know you can cure it. Little San told me that someone with a profound spirit power cultivation method can forcefully clear another person’s meridians.”
“As long as you agree to help me restore this leg, you can propose any condition to me!”
Bai Yu raised an eyebrow, glanced out the window, then looked up, smiling faintly at Master Yu.
“Oh, Tang San told you that? Did he also tell you that using a cultivation method to clear another person’s meridians, without the aid of heavenly materials and earthly treasures, comes at a great cost?”
“It will cause a permanent loss of spirit power for the person performing the technique. This part of the spirit power can only be cultivated again, not restored. So, Master Yu, do you have heavenly materials and earthly treasures?”
Master Yu’s face was grim, his teeth clenched tightly, but he couldn’t make a sound.
“Then it seems you don’t. And your disciple also told you about this. However, since Grandmaster came to me, you must be able to offer something to compensate for my lost spirit power.”
Looking at Master Yu’s expression, Bai Yu knew that Tang San had told him that clearing meridians for others would come at a price.
He originally wanted to leave, but then he thought about it and decided to tease Gang Zi a bit. After all, a daily show helps maintain physical and mental health!
Master Yu’s face was ashen, his hands clenched tightly, and he said in a low voice:
“I truly don’t have anything to compensate you with right now. However, if you heal me, once I create a cultivation method in the future, I will repay you with it. How does that sound?”
This tasteless ‘pie in the sky’ made Bai Yu’s eyes narrow with laughter. Coupled with his handsome face, it even appeared somewhat Charm-ing.
If Hu Liena had seen this scene, her eyes would have been full of little stars by now.
“Hahaha, Master Yu, don’t make me laugh. How is this any different from freeloading? Who knows if you can even create a cultivation method?”
Looking at Bai Yu, who was already shaking with laughter, Master Yu also trembled, shouting in his heart, ‘This brat bullies me too much! You have a death wish!’
Then Bai Yu pinched his brow, stopped laughing, and said to Master Yu in a drifting tone:
“Cough, Master Yu, it’s not impossible for me to help you with treatment, but you need to give me something!”
As soon as these words came out, Master Yu’s eyes immediately lit up, and he said excitedly:
“What is it? Don’t worry! As long as I have it, I will definitely agree to you!”
Bai Yu played with his fingers for a moment, and said teasingly:
“I heard that Dean Liu and Grandmaster almost became husband and wife? But even if it was cut short, she’s still considered your wife, right?”
“My request is simple: you write a deed of gift, giving Dean Liu to me, and I will agree to help you with the treatment.”
“Ah?”
Master Yu was dumbfounded, his mouth agape. He really didn’t expect Bai Yu to make such a request.
At this moment, a heavy breath came from outside the window, but Master Yu was in a state of confusion and didn’t notice it.
“Bai Yu! What nonsense are you talking about? How can I give Erlong to you? And how old are you? This is absurd!”
“Besides, my wedding with Erlong didn’t happen. Even if I write a deed, Erlong won’t acknowledge it!”
Master Yu’s zombie-like face turned crimson, his eyes filled with anger, yet there was still a hint of hesitation, as he furiously yelled at Bai Yu with extreme speed.
Ignoring Master Yu’s shouting, Bai Yu waved his hand, a smile on his face, and said:
“Age is a minor issue. If she follows me, I have my own ways to help her break through to Title Douluo. As for whether she acknowledges the deed, that doesn’t matter.”
“I just need proof. If she doesn’t acknowledge it, then consider it me treating you for free. Where can you find such a good deal?”
Master Yu’s face alternated between green and red, changing constantly, as he ceaselessly weighed the pros and cons in his mind.
Looking at Master Yu’s expression, Bai Yu stroked his sword-like eyebrows, thinking, ‘This guy is truly a dog. Looking at this stance, he really wants to write the deed!’
He then prepared to add fuel to the fire, curious to see where Gang Zi’s bottom line was.
“Is Grandmaster still hesitating? It’s just a piece of paper. Even if you don’t write it, it’s impossible between you and Dean Liu. Besides, you’re already crippled.”
“Using a potentially useless deed to exchange for your health, to be able to stand up again and pursue your dreams, that’s so much…”
“Not enough!”
Bai Yu’s ‘pie’ wasn’t finished yet when it was interrupted by Master Yu’s loud shout.
Master Yu’s eyes were bloodshot, staring directly at the surprised Bai Yu, and he said fiercely:
“If you want me to give Erlong to you, just healing my injury isn’t enough!”
Bai Yu scoffed derisively.
“Heh heh, then what else does Master Yu require?”
Master Yu took two ragged breaths, his face showing a mix of pain and excitement.
“I also want you to help me break through this damned Level 29, and you must give me a cultivation method!”
Bai Yu threw his head back and laughed, slapping the table twice with his palm.
Then he stared at Master Yu with an expressionless face, and said faintly.
“So, you want to use a deed that’s highly likely to be useless, in exchange for me expending spirit power to heal your injury, helping you break through, and finally, giving you a cultivation method?”
“Master Yu, your calculations are truly brilliant.”
