Chapter 12: Beat up Tang San

Outside the Sotuo Great Soul Arena, a carriage slowly pulled to a stop.

“With so many Great Spirit Arenas, why come to this small place, Sotuo City?” Yan jumped off the carriage and asked in surprise.

“I have my reasons.” Jiang Mian smiled, “I’ll explain to you all when the time comes.”

Before he finished speaking, a group of people approached from a distance. Jiang Mian looked intently and saw that the leading teacher was a middle-aged man with a crew cut, dressed in coarse black linen clothes.

“Yu Xiaogang.” Jiang Mian felt a physiological discomfort just looking at this guy’s sanctimonious appearance.

They also noticed Jiang Mian and his group.

“Boss Dai, look, those little girls are so beautiful and hot.” Ma Hongjun, at the end of the group, swallowed his saliva and pointed at Hu Liena and the others.

“Let’s see if we can get them later.” Dai Mubai’s eyes gleamed as he chuckled, “These three little girls look like they’d be good for childbearing. Just thinking about it makes me moist.”

Hu Liena and Zhu Zhuqing, being sharp-eared, naturally heard the two men discussing them. Hu Liena’s face showed anger, wishing she could make them infertile.

Xie Yue quietly patted Hu Liena’s shoulder and gave her a look. Xie Yue’s meaning was simple: I’ll get revenge for you later, sis.

Zhu Zhuqing glanced at Dai Mubai, her expression cold and disdainful. Only trash would choose to escape, and Dai Mubai was that trash!

The person she, Zhuqing, looked down on the most was him.

Tang San and Jiang Mian’s eyes met, and Tang San only felt that Jiang Mian’s eyes were full of mockery, looking at him as if he were a clown.

“Third Brother, do you know them?” Xiao Wu tugged at Tang San’s sleeve, asking somewhat tremblingly.

As a 100,000-year Soft Bones Rabbit, having lived in the Star Dou Great Forest for many years, how could she not have seen the two terrifying existences behind Jiang Mian.

“Look at that little rabbit.” Xiong Jun’s eyes were full of mockery as he chuckled, “How did it turn into human form? So boring.”

“Same feeling, do you want to try?” Chi Wang teased.

“I’m not interested.” Xiong Jun snorted, scoffing, “Let the man next to him pick up scraps instead.”

Rabbits have the longest estrus period, and Xiao Wu was a rabbit who had lived for 100,000 years. The implications were self-evident.

“No, I don’t.” Tang San frowned slightly. Seeing Jiang Mian always made him feel a subtle unease. “But I feel they have a lot of hostility towards us.”

“Oscar, what do you think?” Ma Hongjun patted Oscar’s shoulder, chuckling, “There are three little girls here. Third Brother isn’t interested, so how about we each take one?”

“Fatty, don’t get me into trouble.” Oscar raised an eyebrow and quickly scurried behind Yu Xiaogang, smiling, “Those people don’t look like easy targets. I can’t handle them.”

“Look at you, so cowardly, it’s boring.” Ma Hongjun disdainfully elbowed Oscar, then trotted over to Dai Mubai to fantasize.

“Let’s go in.” Yu Xiaogang waved his hand and led Tang San and his group into the Sotuo Great Soul Arena.

“Brothers, did you see those pretentious guys just now?” Jiang Mian turned his head and chuckled, “If you get to fight them later, beat them to death for me.”

“Do you have some deep-seated hatred with them?” Xie Yue asked in surprise.

“Don’t worry about that.” Jiang Mian sneered, teasing, “Xie Yue, they made lewd comments about Nana just now. Don’t you want revenge? If it were me, I’d beat them to death.”

Hu Liena’s cheeks flushed. She felt that Jiang Mian really cared about her.

Jiang Mian and his group entered the Great Spirit Arena, registered their identities, and then prepared to begin their battles.

Tang San and the others were all Spirit Ancestors, two major ranks below Jiang Mian. Logically, they certainly wouldn’t encounter each other.

But, you know, Jiang Mian knew a thing or two about behind-the-scenes manipulation.

As people from Spirit Hall, and as the Golden Generation personally appointed by Supreme Pontiff Bibi Dong, Xie Yue naturally carried a badge for convenient action.

Although the Great Spirit Arena had a betting system, they weren’t betting the Great Spirit Arena’s money. Besides, if it really came down to it, they could simply prevent those wealthy patrons from placing bets on these two matches.

With the behind-the-scenes manipulation, Jiang Mian easily matched with Tang San, while Hu Liena battled Xiao Wu, Xie Yue fought Dai Mubai, and Yan faced Ma Hongjun.

“Yan, this little Fatty insulted Nana, understand?” Jiang Mian, not one to shy away from trouble, continued to incite him.

“Don’t worry.” Yan rubbed his fists together. He had embarrassed himself in front of Nana during his battle with Jiang Mian, and this time he wanted to make up for it. “I’m going to roast this little Fatty’s bird until it’s done!”

“I’ll go first.” Jiang Mian chuckled and slowly walked into the battle arena.

“I didn’t expect us to meet so soon.” Tang San walked calmly to Jiang Mian’s opposite side. Seeing that it was Jiang Mian, he even had the composure to chat.

“Indeed.” Jiang Mian clasped his hands behind his back and said, “I’ll go easy on you and try to leave you with a breath.”

“Who exactly are you?” Tang San recalled his past, but couldn’t remember ever offending this guy in front of him.

“Don’t worry about who I am.” Jiang Mian spread his hands, saying mockingly, “I just want to completely shatter your confidence, because destroying a genius is much more fun than creating one.”

“Tang San, Spirit Blue Silver Grass, thirty-first level control system Battle Spirit Elder.”

“My name is Jiang Mian.”

“Aren’t you going to release your Spirit?” Tang San asked calmly, holding the ridiculous Blue Silver Grass in his hand.

“You’re not worthy yet.” Jiang Mian stood calmly in place, scoffing, “Aren’t you inherently full of spirit power? Let me see if you’re as useless as your Grandmaster.”

Jiang Mian’s voice was loud enough for Yu Xiaogang to hear him.

Yu Xiaogang abruptly stood up from his seat. He glared fiercely at Jiang Mian, but couldn’t recall who he was.

“First Spirit Ability, Binding.”

Tang San raised his hand and waved, and several thick Blue Silver Grass vines instantly rushed towards Jiang Mian like pythons.

“Your Spirit is really peculiar, with all sorts of Bindings. Xiao Wu following you might not be happy, but she’ll certainly experience a lot of different ways to enjoy herself.” Jiang Mian laughed heartily. He didn’t even move his feet, simply waved his hand, and three sharp blades abruptly appeared in front of him, directly slicing the Blue Silver Grass to pieces.

“After absorbing the Man Faced Demon Spider, the Blue Silver Grass’s toughness is no longer something ordinary blades can destroy. What Spirit Ability did this person use to cut my Blue Silver Grass so silently?”

Tang San’s heart sank. He hadn’t even seen the opponent’s Spirit, and he was already at a disadvantage?

Slap!

Just as Tang San was pondering how to deal with Jiang Mian, a crisp, clear slapping sound reached the ears of all the spectators.

Tang San’s right cheek instantly turned red. He hadn’t even noticed when Jiang Mian had gotten close to him.

“You!” Tang San threw a punch, intending to use Controlling Crane Catching Dragon, but how could Jiang Mian give him the chance? An uppercut directly struck Tang San’s jaw.

“Pfft.” Tang San spat out a mouthful of blood, his jaw directly dislocated by Jiang Mian’s powerful punch.

“Third Spirit Ability, Spider Web Restraint.”

Tang San quickly distanced himself from Jiang Mian. He indistinctly activated his third Spirit Ability, intending to control Jiang Mian.

“Hellfire.” Jiang Mian casually flicked a flame from his right hand. The flame grew increasingly intense, directly incinerating Tang San’s Blue Silver Grass.

Jiang Mian’s figure was like a rainbow, his fist like a bullet, slamming into Tang San’s lower abdomen.

Pfft!

Tang San was directly knocked to his knees by this punch, and liquid uncontrollably flowed from his lower body.

“No, no, no.” Tang San’s eyes widened. He tried his best to control himself from releasing liquid, but the pain in his lower body made him utterly powerless to control it, forcing him to let so many people witness his shameful and pathetic side.

“Little San.” Grandmaster slammed his fist on the seat. He stared intently at Jiang Mian. Who exactly was this guy?

“Third Brother.” Xiao Wu saw Tang San being so humiliated and immediately wanted to jump into the arena to Help Tang San, but she was firmly held in place by the guards.

“Oh, aren’t you ashamed?” Jiang Mian grabbed Tang San’s neck and lifted him high.

At this moment, Tang San’s pants were soaked, and he reeked of a nauseating stench. Yet, Jiang Mian’s actions remained vicious and merciless, showing no quarter.

With a thud, Jiang Mian slammed Tang San’s head directly onto the ground. The bluestone bricks collided with his skull, emitting a clear, ringing sound.

That sound, it was clearly a good hit.

Tang San was dazed from the impact, and liquid continued to flow from his lower body. Jiang Mian was truly vicious, specifically targeting the most shameful parts of a person.

That punch just now had caused Tang San to lose control of his bladder, and this fall had nearly made Tang San faint.

Bang bang bang bang!

Jiang Mian kicked Tang San into the air, his hands flying like lightning, unleashing a barrage of blows onto Tang San’s face.

“Little… Xiao Wu~” As Tang San neared unconsciousness, Xiao Wu’s image flashed in his mind, and his external Spirit Bone Eight Spider Lances were unexpectedly activated on their own.

“Spirit Bone.” In the stands, a well-informed rich merchant suddenly exclaimed, “He’s only in his thirties, and he actually possesses a Spirit Bone!”

As soon as this was said, many people began to harbor ill intentions. Spirit Masters weren’t worth much, but if you killed a Spirit Master with a Spirit Bone, you could take the Spirit Bone from their body.

“Spider legs.” Jiang Mian sidestepped, avoiding the protective action of the Eight Spider Lances. Tang San, supported by the Eight Spider Lances, barely managed to stand up.

At this moment, he had already been beaten beyond recognition by Jiang Mian. His face was a bloody mess, and even two of his front teeth had been broken by Jiang Mian, leaving him with a lisp. His nasal bridge was also broken by Jiang Mian, collapsing inward. Tang San at this moment was truly as ugly as could be.

“Do you still want to continue?” Jiang Mian kicked Tang San in the face, sending the recently stabilized Tang San sprawling to the ground once more.

“Don’t, don’t bully Third Brother anymore.” Xiao Wu covered her mouth, tears streaming down her face.

Hu Liena saw that little rabbit and already had a hundred ways to torment her in mind.

“Grandmaster, if you don’t stop the match, Little San will be beaten to death by that guy.” Dai Mubai said anxiously.

“If Little San doesn’t concede, we have no right to end this match for him.” Yu Xiaogang shook his head, saying helplessly.

“Let me see this external Spirit Bone.” Jiang Mian stepped on Tang San’s feet, grabbing one spider lance with each hand.

Crack!

The sound of bones shattering echoed throughout the Great Spirit Arena. Jiang Mian, like breaking chopsticks, pulled off each of Tang San’s Eight Spider Lances, one by one.

It was important to know that the Eight Spider Lances were connected to Tang San’s bones. Such pain was no different from having one’s ribs forcibly torn out.

“Ah.” Tang San’s blood mixed with the foul liquid from his lower body, making him look pathetic and ridiculous.

“I…” Tang San tried his best to raise his hand, wanting to surrender, but how could Jiang Mian give him the chance? He directly stepped on Tang San’s mouth, forcibly silencing him.

“Tang San has lost the ability to fight. Please, contestant Jiang Mian, stop at the appropriate point.”

The referee promptly entered the arena, separating Jiang Mian and Tang San.

Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun jumped into the arena almost simultaneously, helping the disheveled Tang San back.

“You’re finished.” Dai Mubai said coldly, his face full of rage, pointing at Jiang Mian, “You will definitely pay for what you did today!”

“Boss Dai, why waste words with him?” Ma Hongjun spat at Jiang Mian, cursing, “For trash like him, I’ll make sure to properly ‘educate’ the women who came with him!”

“Do you two want to die?” How could Jiang Mian tolerate their arrogance? He immediately said coldly, “I won’t bully your damn Shrek either. You two can fight me together, do you dare?”

“Hmph, you only won against Little San purely by skill.” Dai Mubai said disdainfully, “We two are attack system Battle Spirit Elders. What strength do you have?”

“More words are useless, come on!” Jiang Mian was already impatient to beat up these two ignorant fellows.

“The Great Spirit Arena does not allow private fights.” The referee quickly stopped Jiang Mian, saying, “You can fight outside however you want, we will not interfere.”

“Tch, if you have the guts, get out there and fight.” Jiang Mian spat directly on Ma Hongjun’s face, an eye for an eye.

“What do you want?!” The Shrek students jumped down from the stands one after another. Jiang Mian looked around; there were many familiar faces, and many unfamiliar ones too.

Ning Rongrong was not among this group of useless Shrek students. It seemed she had been taught a lesson by Jiang Mian and dared not come out.

“Want to have a group fight?”

Xie Yue and Yan jumped to Jiang Mian’s side almost simultaneously. They unhesitatingly released their Spirits, their two yellow and two purple spirit ring configurations shining dazzlingly.

“Spirit Ancestor?” Yu Xiaogang slumped in his seat. Was the gap between his proud students and their peers really that great?

“Doesn’t Shrek only take in monsters?” Jiang Mian scoffed unceremoniously, “I see nothing but trash. If you feel embarrassed, you can very well have Flender, Zhao Wuji, and the others come and assassinate us.”

“Let’s go.” Xie Yue said coldly, “If you want to fight, we’re ready anytime.”

“These little guys really don’t back down.” Chi Wang looked pleased and chuckled, “Did you feel it? There was a spirit power fluctuation from over there just now.”

“Titled Douluo.” Xiong Jun nodded, saying carelessly, “They’re quite unknown, yet they even have a Titled Douluo backing them up.”

“Their aura is quite strong. Just watch, we’ll have work to do tonight.” Chi Wang said, “After beating the young ones, the old ones will have to come and get beaten too.”

“Why are they all so eager to get a beating? I’ve never seen such a request in my life.” Xiong Jun laughed heartily.
