The first ray of morning sun streamed through the window onto the floor. Zheng Peipei, sleeping in a single room, got up early, opened the window to greet the beautiful morning, and began her morning exercises while admiring the beautiful scenery outside.
Zhang Kaili and Xu Qing woke up in succession afterward. The older people get, the less sleep they need, referring to normal sleep. If one intentionally stays up late, that's their own reason.
As for the other four, they were still in a sweet dream. They had been busy traveling these past few days, visiting several attractions daily. It was a rare opportunity to rest properly, so they had to seize it.
Staying one day at the farm cost 20 euros more than a hotel, but it included breakfast, so there was no need to find a restaurant outside. Moreover, they could cook their own meals, making whatever they wished.
By the time Yi Xing opened his eyes, it was almost 12 PM. He opened the window of his room and immediately saw three people sitting below, basking in the sun. He waved to them, greeting them, and started his new day.
He carefully carried his suitcase out of the room, rummaging through it for the clothes he would wear today. Changing locations meant changing into a new outfit to change his mood. He was afraid of waking Zhang Han, who was still asleep, if he searched inside.
Except for the eldest sister, everyone else was sleeping in pairs.
After changing and washing up, he appeared downstairs, holding a cup of coffee. He pulled up a stool and sat beside the three older sisters, basking in the sun with them and enjoying the surrounding beautiful scenery.
Leisurely and pleasant times are always very short. Before they knew it, it was twelve o'clock. The three who hadn't gotten up also woke up one after another. Half an hour later, everyone was dressed and seated in the car.
They still had to drive into town for lunch because they hadn't bought groceries. Even if they wanted to cook, they couldn't.
A humorous incident occurred when they tried to park at the restaurant. Initially, no one noticed the sign behind them. Later, Li Feier suggested, "Why don't we all take a picture together?" That's when Liu Tao saw it.
Even though there were no words on it, interpreting pictures is an essential skill for every Chinese person, and they immediately understood its meaning.
These two parking spaces were reserved for disabled people, and regular vehicles were not allowed to park there. If discovered, they would receive a parking ticket.
"Young Master, Xiao Xing, look at the sign behind you. We can't park here. We need to find two new parking spaces."
"Then you all go to the restaurant first. We'll come over after we've parked."
This sudden remark interrupted the photo-taking atmosphere, and everyone lost their interest. Zhang Han, acting as the guide, arranged everyone's actions: the older sisters were responsible for ordering, while he and Yi Xing were responsible for parking the car.
After eating their fill, the Hua Shao Group wandered around the beautiful small town, which was very suitable for people who prefer a slow-paced life. Beautiful flowers were everywhere, and occasionally, someone could be heard playing an instrument by the roadside, which made one's heart feel peaceful.
"Wow, look, there are so many people on that building!" Li Feier pointed with her hand to a place not far away, where dozens of people were gathered on top of a small building.
"Want to go up and see?"
"Yes!"
"Then let's all go up and see," Zhang Han said with a smile, seeing her expectant eyes. Anyway, they were just walking around the streets casually, so having a clear destination was good.
Soon after, the seven of them ascended together. Looking at the vineyards and olive trees in the distance, they felt an urge to shout aloud.
Someone quickly turned the idea into reality. Zhang Kaili suggested, "How about we shout a program slogan: Divas Hit the Road! We love you! What do you think?"
"That's a bit silly."
"Great, great."
Two different opinions emerged. She looked eagerly at the person who held the opposing view and said aggrievedly, "Oh, Tao~, can't you even satisfy this small request of mine?"
"Alright, alright, Sister Kaili, let's do as you say."
Director Liao, who had been following them, understood what they wanted to do and arranged for a drone to handle the aerial photography. Relying solely on manpower would not achieve the desired effect; the power of technology needed to be employed appropriately.
"Divas Hit the Road! We love you!"
A loud slogan came from the top of the building. It felt as if the relationship between everyone had become much closer. The group continued walking forward, their target this time being the tallest tower.
That was the tallest building in San Gimignano. Climbing to the very top offered an excellent panoramic view of the entire town. They journeyed toward their destination, chatting and laughing, occasionally stopping to take a few photos when they saw beautiful scenery.
Only today did this group somewhat resemble a tour group. The previous few days were nothing but chaotic. While others enjoyed their travel time, for them, it was like checking off tasks, coming and going in a hurry, a special forces-style of travel.
From a distance, the tower didn't seem very tall, but the closer they got, the more they felt its grandeur. They had to crane their necks almost 90 degrees to see the top of the tower. Upon entering the entrance, a staff member stood nearby, holding a stack of tickets.
Indeed, almost every attraction requires a ticket. At 9 euros per person, it was a relatively reasonable price. Zhang Han stepped forward, paid, and distributed the tickets to everyone.
The race to the top officially began. The first contestant to set off was Yi Xing, who was incredibly fast. He took three steps in two, quickly leaving the people behind him far in the distance.
Closely following were Zhang Han and Liu Tao. The two wore clothes and pants of the same color, and from behind, they truly looked like a young couple. Li Feier seized the opportunity to take several photos.
The three eldest sisters leisurely followed at the very end. They were in no hurry at all; as long as they reached the top, that was all that mattered. Speed was not a consideration.
"This tower is so tall, taller than my sixth floor at home," Zheng Peipei said with a sigh, looking up to estimate how much further it was.
"You have a sixth floor at home? That high!"
"I'm talking about the home we had the day before yesterday. Any place I've lived can be considered my home."
Her words left the other two women silent for a while, then they simultaneously gave her a thumbs-up. They expressed their admiration for such a nomadic spirit, admitting they were not as capable.
Twenty minutes had passed since Yi Xing reached the top. The wind on the rooftop was exceptionally noisy, making his hair messy. After waiting and waiting, everyone finally arrived.
Compared to shouting the slogan in the smaller building before, shouting it here felt even more impactful. And so, the slogan rang out once more, its sound seemingly carried by the wind, reaching every corner of the small town.
The sun gradually set, and the sky was painted with a brilliant sunset. It was time to head back, but before that, they needed to buy ingredients for dinner. However, Li Feier and Xu Qing were tired and wanted to return early to rest.
Not everyone needed to go grocery shopping. Since they had two cars, those who wanted to rest could take one back, leaving one for shopping. Yi Xing took the two older sisters back to the farm.
Because he was almost completely useless in cooking, he could only act as a driver and porter, offering no opinions. That's why he was sent back first, while Zhang Han took the other three older sisters to buy groceries, as he also had all the money.
