Chapter 22: Satisfy your requirement to be caught by two hunters at the same time

After the three remaining survivors discussed their next steps, they left their hiding place and, at a fork in the road, executed their plan.

One person was responsible for buying time, protecting the other two to successfully complete the final task before the remaining three minutes.

"Alright, this is where we part ways. Go ahead and complete your mission without worry; I won't let the hunters bother you."

"Yi Xing, be careful."

"Xiao Xing Ge, then we're off."

Yi Xing walked in the opposite direction of the shield vehicle, his figure gradually blending into the crowd of common people. He shouted repeatedly at the sky,

"Hunters, I'm here! Come and catch me!"

This stunned those in the suspension room. Seeing hunters, they all hid, but someone was actively seeking them out. Everyone thought he might be going a little crazy from too much pressure.

"Yi Xing, are you okay?"

"What are you doing?"

"It's over; this kid is too reckless."

"Xuhui Ge, you're usually quite familiar with Xiao Xing Ge. Do you know why he's doing this?"

Wang Junkai, standing next to Liu Xuhui, asked curiously. Although he couldn't quite understand Yi Xing's actions,

he felt that the other party must have his reasons for choosing to do so and didn't intend to comment much. It was better to let someone who might understand his actions explain.

Liu Xuhui listened as Yi Xing's voice grew louder and, combining it with the current situation on the field, immediately understood why he was doing this. He explained to the others who were still shouting "keep it down":

"He plans to attract all the hunters to create an opportunity for Qian Xi and Xiao Ju to complete the mission, pushing the shield vehicle to the city gate to block those 30 hunters. He's really brave to execute such a plan."

"So that's it. He's truly courageous and resourceful."

Du Chun remarked with emotion. As one of the accelerator team members who survived until Mission Four, he understood Yi Xing's organizational abilities.

He had originally thought the other party was merely a pure intellectual, responsible for strategizing behind the scenes, but at a critical moment, he could be so decisive, risking himself to achieve his goal.

"I'm starting to wonder how long he can survive under the hunters' encirclement."

At this moment, Yi Yang Qianxi and Ju Jingyi arrived behind the shield vehicle. Standing beside it were 12 common people who had been recruited.

While being pursued by hunters and hiding everywhere, these people remained in place, waiting for them to return. One of the leaders waved his arm and said,

"Without a backbone, how can we push?"

"Exactly, where did the backbone go?" The others echoed.

Yi Yang Qianxi stepped forward in his cousin's absence, took a deep breath, and tried to make his voice sound steady and strong: "Xiao Ju Jie Jie, you go to the front and shout slogans, and I'll help push the cart."

"Okay."

After arranging Ju Jingyi's position, he placed his hands on the shield vehicle, comforting the common people nearby: "Everyone, listen to me. Later, everyone will follow the slogans shouted by this elder sister in front, and together we will block the city gate."

"Okay, listen to my command, one, two, push!"

"One, two, push!"

Mission Four was proceeding in an orderly fashion, but Yi Xing, in the opposite direction, was in deep trouble. His shouts had attracted all four hunters, who were now closing in on his location.

Soon, a hunter appeared behind him and spotted him. Locking onto the target through his sunglasses, he quickly gave chase. Those in the suspension room saw this scene and desperately shouted at the person who was still yelling,

"Yi Xing, behind you!"

"A hunter is behind you!"

Yi Xing looked back in the direction of the voice, and that glance almost traumatized him: a burly man in a black suit was charging straight at him.

His heart tightened. Without time to think, he took off running forward, trying to lead the hunters away from the city gate area, all the while repeatedly shouting.

He had some experience in how to shake off hunters, having successfully escaped from them twice.

He knew he couldn't run in a straight line, or he would be caught very quickly. He had to use the surrounding terrain and environment to circle around, immediately turning whenever he encountered a fork in the road.

In this way, he managed to put a little distance between himself and the hunter behind him, but Director Xu Ke wouldn't give him a moment to breathe and immediately arranged for another hunter to block his path directly in front.

This pincer attack made his situation exceptionally difficult. His brain raced, contemplating a countermeasure, but it seemed there was no other choice but to be caught. He slowly stopped running.

Standing still, he spread his arms, honorably facing the impending elimination. He had done his best; the rest was up to Yi Yang Qianxi and Ju Jingyi.

Xu Ke, sitting in the monitoring room, couldn't help but exclaim in delight at this scene, a proud smile on his face.

"Let you talk tough before, saying it would take at least two hunters to catch you. Now, your wish has been granted, hasn't it?" He then picked up the walkie-talkie and said into it: "Send out the news that Yi Xing has been eliminated."

As a high-pitched bell rang, everyone except the two focused on pushing the cart knew the outcome of Yi Xing's capture, and their hearts were filled with admiration for him.

Everyone understood that he had regretfully exited to buy his teammates a chance to complete the mission and deserved enthusiastic applause.

At 3 minutes and 30 seconds on the countdown, the shield vehicle finally blocked the city gate. Mission Four was successfully completed. Now, they just needed to survive these brief 210 seconds to achieve final victory.

After Ju Jingyi and Yi Yang Qianxi high-fived, the two cautiously returned to the small room where they had hidden before. Checking the messages on their phones, they learned that Yi Xing had been eliminated, and they were the last remaining hope.

Since the room door could not be closed, no one knew if a hunter might suddenly walk in the next second, and staying inside here was not very safe.

Yi Yang Qianxi glanced at the somewhat cluttered surroundings, searching for a place to hide. Then, under Ju Jingyi's gaze, he hid behind the door.

She learned from him; if she had another chance to come back, she would also hide behind the door. Unfortunately, there was only one door in this room.

She couldn't replicate the action. She quietly walked to a corner of the room, carefully squatted down, and used the surrounding clutter to obscure her figure as much as possible.

Time passed minute by minute. With only one minute left, every subsequent second for the two people in the room was a nerve-wracking experience.

Suddenly, footsteps appeared outside the door. This hunter, of course, was sent by Xu Ke. He entered the room, looked around, found no trace of anyone, and then left, making way for the next hunter to come in.
