Ever since Ju Jingyi followed Yi Xing to the set of the legend of the condor heroes, she became a regular there, waking up early every day to knock on his door and go to the film crew with him.
She spent her days watching others perform and her evenings absorbing the knowledge she gained and memorizing her character's lines, passing one fulfilling day after another, until two days before the novoland: the castle in the sky film crew started shooting, when she stopped going to the set.
It wasn't for any other reason, but because the person who brought her to the set was about to leave; he was preparing to go to Xing City for his next job. Once he left, she wouldn't have any legitimate reason to enter, and besides, that film crew was about to wrap up filming, having already shot the last few scenes yesterday.
That evening, she arrived at Yi Xing's door and gently knocked. A familiar voice came from inside.
"Who is it?"
"Me!"
"Wait a moment, I'm coming." Yi Xing heard Ju Jingyi's voice and immediately panicked. He was currently putting his personal clothes into his suitcase and felt a bit embarrassed for her to see this. He quickly closed the suitcase and zipped it up.
He tugged at his clothes to make himself look more presentable, then opened the door and greeted the person outside: "Hi, Jingyi, what makes you come looking for me at this hour?"
"Well, I thought you were leaving tomorrow, so I came to learn from you one last time. What were you doing just now? It took you so long to open the door."
"I was packing. My ticket is for tomorrow morning, and I don't want to wake up early to pack."
"Do you want me to help you?" Ju Jingyi asked subconsciously, without considering how she would actually help if he really agreed.
Fortunately, Yi Xing paused for a moment, then smiled and waved his hand, saying: "No need, I'm almost done packing. Is there anything you need to ask me about?"
He pointed with his finger, telling her to sit on the bed first, while he moved a stool and sat facing her. Anything he could answer, he would say without hesitation, as he didn't know when they would meet again.
Ju Jingyi sat on the edge of the bed, looked at him, thought for a moment, then posed her question: "How do you usually get into character? Do you have any little tricks?"
Hearing this question, Yi Xing stood up, walked to the table, opened a drawer, took out his character analysis, handed it to her, and continued.
"This is the preparation I did before filming started. It thoroughly analyzes the personality and image of the character I play. Take a look and see if it can help you."
"You're really too serious!"
"I can't help it. The previous versions of Yang Kang each had their own merits. To stand out, I can only put in more effort. Of course, this is just a method that suits me. Just take a look; there's no need to follow this standard."
"Mm-hmm, I know." Ju Jingyi nodded. She just wanted to learn some experience from him and, based on that experience, develop a method that suited her. There was no need to copy it directly.
These two were quite interesting; when they talked about acting tips, they really only discussed those things, with no intention of starting other topics. They chatted for over an hour, stopping only when they felt parched.
Yi Xing opened the cabinet behind him and took out two bottles of mineral water. At his age, he wasn't accustomed to drinking freshly boiled water, so he naturally kept mineral water on hand for emergencies.
After rehydrating, the two continued to chat for a while. Ju Jingyi looked at the time and stood up, exclaiming in surprise: "Oh, it's so late already! I haven't memorized my lines for today yet. I'm going back now, see you next time."
"Okay, see you next time." He stood up and escorted her to the door.
She suddenly turned around and said: "Remember to message me when you arrive in Xing City. I wish you good luck with your work."
"I will, you too."
Yi Xing, who had opened the door, stood in the hallway on his floor, watching the direction of the elevator. Only after seeing Ju Jingyi enter the elevator did he return to his room and continue packing.
Except for one outfit he would wear tomorrow, all his other clothes were put into his suitcase. He put his laptop into his backpack, double-checked that he hadn't left anything behind, and then confidently went to the bathroom to wash up.
Before closing his eyes to sleep, he turned off all the alarms on his phone, set a new alarm for catching his ride, placed it aside, and slowly closed his eyes, drifting into sleep.
The next morning, Yi Xing suddenly opened his eyes, immediately picked up his phone, and checked the time. There were still twenty full minutes until the alarm went off, but he had no desire to sleep anymore and got out of bed.
As he was taking his suitcase and preparing to leave the room, he carefully inspected it again, making sure he hadn't left anything behind. He then pushed the suitcase out the door, but something still felt off, as if he had truly forgotten something.
Upon seeing Director Jiang in the lobby, he finally remembered what he had forgotten and immediately walked over to greet him.
"Director Jiang, I have other work lined up, so I won't be staying with the film crew any longer. Thank you for your care during this time." After speaking, he bowed deeply.
Director Jiang accepted the bow without hesitation. Once he straightened up, he smiled, walked over, and patted his shoulder, saying: "Yi Xing, you have a talent for acting; don't waste it. I've been very satisfied with your performance during this time. I look forward to our next collaboration. Be safe on your journey."
"Mm-hmm, then I'll be going!" He waved his hand, pulled his suitcase, and left the hotel. The gentle breeze outside caressed him, as if wishing him a smooth journey.
He boarded the bullet train at 10 AM. After a five-hour journey, he arrived in Xing City at 3 PM and sent a message to Ju Jingyi as they had agreed.
【Yi Xing: I've arrived in Xing City.】
The other end replied almost instantly.
【Ju Jingyi: You finally made it! I thought something happened to you on the way, you took so long to message me.】
【Yi Xing: Bah, bah, bah, don't talk nonsense! I'm perfectly safe!】
【Ju Jingyi: Bah, bah, bah~】
After leaving the station, Yi Xing hailed a taxi and returned to the house he hadn't lived in for over three months. He originally thought it would be covered in dust, but the moment he took out his key and opened the door, he realized he was terribly wrong.
Suspecting that he might have opened it incorrectly, he closed the door and opened it again. The scene inside was identical to the first time he opened it; the floor was so shiny it reflected light, and he could see his handsome face if he looked down.
Honestly, he almost didn't want to step on the floor. It had to be his mother; she truly doted on her son.
Seeing this, Yi Xing quickly understood who had done it. Besides Ju Jingyi, only his family knew he was returning to Xing City, and Ju Jingyi didn't know his address. So, there was only one truth.
Shen Wanqing knew he was coming back and specifically hired several cleaners to clean the entire house inside and out, which is why it looked like this. It saved him a lot of effort.
Even if she hadn't hired anyone, he would have had to clean it himself, because the variety show he had previously accepted finally had news, and he also knew the show's name, Divas Hit the Road. The staff member he was in contact with told him that someone would come to film tomorrow and needed his address.
So, this actually helped him a great deal. He carried his suitcase to his bedroom and folded his summer clothes neatly into the wardrobe. He wasn't sure if the film crew would open the wardrobe to check, so he had to be fully prepared.
(Let me state in advance, this is about divas hit the road Season 1. Don't ask me why I didn't choose divas hit the road 5; the 2017 timeline simply wouldn't work, as some people hadn't even debuted yet; furthermore, the Big Dipper Seven is a whole, and everyone is important, so it's impossible for Yi Xing to replace one of them.)
