Aden Port, Yemen Local Time, May 11, 8:30 AM.
Inside the warship's bridge, a tense yet orderly bustle was underway. “Captain, the Yemeni Government has approved our ship’s entry into Aden Port.”
Captain: “All hands, Level 2 combat deployment.”
“Understood.”
A large number of Huaxia expatriates had gathered at Aden Port, with some consulate staff doing their best to calm everyone down.
“Please bear with us a little longer. Our navy is already waiting offshore to enter the port and will soon take everyone home.”
Just as he was speaking, a voice shouted, “Our warship is here!”
In the distance, a massive warship slowly approached, its national flag fluttering in the wind.
The port erupted in cheers. Everyone’s worries and fears from the past few days transformed into excitement, and even the consulate staff breathed a sigh of relief.
“Everyone, don’t panic, maintain order, don’t cause chaos.”
Although they were also very excited, they still had work to do. “Everyone, hold onto your luggage and passports, don’t get disorganized.”
The ship slowly docked, and the gangway was set up. First, 20 fully armed Special Forces members disembarked to establish a secure zone in the port. Following them, ship personnel set up a safe passage, conducted security checks, and verified identities. Everything proceeded in an orderly manner.
“Captain, the situation in Yemen has changed. The Yemeni President has been kidnapped by rebels. Mohadi, the Secretary-General, is currently acting as head of state. Mohadi has sent a request to our Ministry of Foreign Affairs, hoping we can protect his family’s departure. The higher-ups have agreed and instructed our ship to be responsible.”
“Understood. I’ll go adjust the deployment.”
Inside the Aden Consulate General, “He Qingliu, the navy has entered the port.”
He Qingliu: “Is the motorcade ready?”
“The motorcade has arrived.”
“Excellent, let’s depart immediately.”
“Everyone, quickly pack your luggage, we’re leaving right away.”
Everyone was busy, and a figure stood by the window, observing outside from the side.
He Qingliu looked at the person in front of him, a woman in a black combat uniform, and stepped forward, saying, “Comrade Luo Jialing, we are about to evacuate.”
The person turned around, revealing a delicate face with shoulder-length hair, truly not fitting the image of a soldier in his mind. He Qingliu thought, “Who would have thought this was the highest-ranking intelligence officer in the region? She seems not much older than my daughter.”
“The evacuation process might not be smooth,” she said, then looked out the window again. He Qingliu also looked, but saw nothing out of the ordinary with the motorcade provided by the Yemeni Government Army and the escorting military personnel outside the window.
“Is there a problem?”
“Never mind, the arrow is on the string, there’s nothing to be done. I’ll escort you to the port first. Can we contact the Linyi now?”
“Yes, contact has been established. Is there something you need?”
“Contact the navy; I have some information to communicate with them.”
“Understood.”
“Captain, a call from the Aden Consulate.”
“Connect it.”
“Is this He Qingliu? I am Captain Gao Yun.”
“Hello, Captain Gao Yun, I have a situation I need to discuss with you,” He Qingliu said. Just as Gao Yun was about to reply, another voice came through: “Captain Gao Yun, I am Luo Jialing, the Chief Intelligence Officer. Please have your Special Forces prepare. The consulate’s motorcade is very likely to be ambushed on the way.”
“What did you say?” Gao Yun stood up, and Zhao Haiguang beside him also became attentive.
