Chapter 10: Game Instance: Magic Farm (8)

Just like the past few days, after breakfast, Farmer Wen Xiangjie came to the yard, stretched lazily under the warm sun, and started a new day.

She skillfully opened the door, harvested the gold coins she had gained last night, then closed the door. As soon as she turned around, the store on one side of the Magic Farm transformed right before her eyes.

The originally ordinary store seemed to be disassembled and reassembled by an invisible giant hand, completely changing its appearance in an instant.

A two-story building appeared out of thin air. It was no longer constructed from the previous ordinary light brown wood, but from an unknown dark brown wood, on which light purple magic runes were carved. The magic runes flickered and flowed with the rhythm of breathing.

Farmer Wen Xiangjie walked around to the front of this brand new store. The large door, made of violet obsidian, was open outwards. Above the door hung a glazed plaque with the store's name: Witch Arabella's Shop.

The crisp sound of wind chimes rang out, and a slightly deep but very pleasant female voice came from inside the store.

"Are there guests? Please come in, welcome."

Farmer Wen Xiangjie walked into the store, and the blue-haired Witch Arabella, sitting behind the counter, stood up with a smile to greet her.

"Hello, distinguished guest, welcome to my store. I am Witch Arabella." Arabella walked up to Farmer Wen Xiangjie, enthusiastically introduced herself, extended her right hand to Farmer Wen Xiangjie, and even winked at her.

Farmer Wen Xiangjie, with a brilliant smile, also extended her right hand and shook Witch Arabella's right hand: "Hello, hello, I am Farmer Wen Xiangjie, the owner of this farm."

She quickly and discreetly scanned Arabella's attire, her gaze lingering for a moment on Arabella's right wrist.

On the right wrist of Arabella and Farmer Wen Xiangjie, where their hands met, was a magnificent bracelet. Various rare gemstones emitted dazzling light under the illumination of the magic crystal lamp hanging from the store's ceiling.

Among them, a strange symbol was carved on a dark black gemstone of unknown material. Because the base color of the gemstone was dark black, the symbol carved on it was difficult to spot without careful observation, and even if seen, probably no one would pay attention, only considering it as decoration.

But Farmer Wen Xiangjie recognized this symbol.

This was the exclusive Totem of the God of Trade from a certain high-level plane.

Arabella did not notice Farmer Wen Xiangjie's gaze. After shaking hands with Farmer Wen Xiangjie, she got straight to the point and began to introduce the goods in her store to Farmer Wen Xiangjie.

"It's not me boasting, but the goods in my store are absolutely practical." Arabella waved her hand slightly, and a translucent rope from the shelf flew into her hand.

"Are you still troubled by evil creatures escaping? Do you want to completely eliminate evil creatures? Then you absolutely cannot miss this Soul Lock. It can 100% trap an evil creature! A common Soul Lock only costs 100,000 gold coins, isn't that super cost-effective!"

"Of course, common Soul Locks can only trap lower-level evil creatures. But it doesn't matter, I also have higher-level Soul Locks here." Arabella waved her hand again, and two more Soul Locks flew into her hand. These two Soul Locks were also translucent, but one was wrapped in light black mist, and the other emitted a low wail when Arabella held it.

"This one is a Soul Lock imbued with cursed energy, priced at 500,000 gold coins. This one is a Soul Lock woven from hateful souls, priced at 1,000,000 gold coins. Once you buy them, you'll know exactly which evil creatures they can trap. How about it, aren't they very practical?" Arabella asked with a smile.

This meant that by purchasing these Soul Locks, she could learn some information about the evil creatures that would attack her Magic Farm in the future, which was indeed very cost-effective.

Farmer Wen Xiangjie nodded repeatedly: "Practical, truly practical. I'll take all three of these. Do you have anything else?"

Hearing Farmer Wen Xiangjie so readily buying all three items she introduced in one go, Arabella's smile became even more enthusiastic.

"Yes, guest, yes! Next, I will introduce another best-selling product in our store: the Magic Contract!" Arabella waved her hand, and the three Soul Locks in her hand flew onto the counter. Several pieces of parchment flew down from the shelf, floating in front of Arabella and Farmer Wen Xiangjie.

"Are you troubled by the low-level weapons in ordinary stores? Do you feel that your Magic Farm's attack capability is insufficient and worry about your Magic Farm being overrun by evil creatures? Please allow me to grandly introduce this Magic Contract, also known as the Absolute Value Hired Thug Contract!"

Under Arabella's will, the parchments automatically sorted into two rows, left and right, arranged from top to bottom.

"These on the left are Mage Contracts, and these on the right are Swordsman Contracts." Arabella extended her right hand and pointed to the first contract at the top of the left row.

"This one at the very top is the Mage Apprentice Summoning Contract. For only 100,000 gold coins, you can summon a Mage Apprentice to work for you for free for 3 days! And ensure you a peaceful night's sleep!"

"If you are not confident enough in the Mage Apprentice's attack power, no worries. Next, there are Mage Summoning Contracts for only 500,000 gold coins, Great Mage Summoning Contracts for only 1,200,000 gold coins, Archmage Summoning Contracts for only 3,100,000 gold coins, and Grand Magister Summoning Contracts for only 5,300,000 gold coins!"

"Friendly reminder, the Grand Magister Summoning Contract also has another wonderful use~" Arabella said to Farmer Wen Xiangjie with a smile.

"Can the Grand Magister help apply natural magic to the Magic Farm land?" Farmer Wen Xiangjie immediately understood the meaning in Arabella's words.

"Hmm?" A hint of confusion appeared on Arabella's face, as if she hadn't expected Farmer Wen Xiangjie to know this. However, she immediately admitted frankly: "That's right, if you want to upgrade the land to a Land Containing Natural Magic Energy, it requires the Grand Magister's spellcasting."

"Is one Grand Magister Summoning Contract enough?" Farmer Wen Xiangjie asked.

"Yes, one contract is enough to upgrade all 25 plots of land. These Magic Contracts are for immediate use, you can use this Grand Magister Summoning Contract when all 25 plots of land need upgrading." Arabella patiently explained.

Farmer Wen Xiangjie nodded: "Can you introduce the Magic Contracts in the right row?"

"Of course!" Arabella pointed to the right row of Magic Contracts and continued to introduce: "The right row contains Swordsman Summoning Contracts. The contract duration is also three days, and the corresponding prices are consistent. Swordsman Apprentice for 100,000 gold coins, Swordsman for 500,000 gold coins, Great Swordsman for 1,200,000 gold coins, Sword Master for 3,100,000 gold coins, and Great Swordsman for 5,300,000 gold coins."

5,300,000 gold coins for three days of employment of a Grand Magister or a Great Swordsman, indeed an absolute value hired thug contract.

Farmer Wen Xiangjie glanced at her gold coin balance displayed in her game profile and began to consider how to make her purchases.
