Chapter 102: Leiyin Valley

"Just wait patiently!"

Zhu Jie said irritably.

The gruff male voice didn't dare to talk back and lowered his head to eat.

Another voice came out, "A'Zhu, if it's really not possible, let's find a way to help! After all, he's Second Brother Kou's person!"

"Wait another half an hour. If he doesn't come by then, we'll go see if we can help him... Huh? He's coming this way!"

Zhu Jie's voice paused.

Immediately after, a figure flashed out from the swirling mist.

Fang Xin looked at the people in front of him.

It was a four-person team in total.

Sitting on a tree stump was a spiky-haired young man eating roasted chicken.

Beside him, a pink twin-tailed girl was squatting, watching a show.

Besides them,

there was also a tall, very pretty A-cup girl standing.

On one side of the A-cup girl stood a melancholic, sword-wielding youth with a ponytail.

Fang Xin's sudden appearance startled everyone.

The spiky-haired boy, gnawing on a chicken leg, almost shoved a chicken bone up his nostril.

He turned his head and glared at the twin-tailed girl engrossed in her show, who also looked bewildered, indicating she hadn't sensed anything.

The A-cup girl sized up Fang Xin, then looked at the jade token in her hand.

That jade token and the one in Fang Xin's hand were identical in material and craftsmanship, clearly made by the same person.

"Are you Fang Xin?" the A-cup girl asked.

Fang Xin scanned the four people in front of him, "Are you the people Second Brother Kou sent?"

"Yes!"

The A-cup girl seemed to be the leader of this team and immediately introduced herself to Fang Xin, "My name is Zhu Qiluo. This one with the sword is Tong Jue, the one eating roasted chicken is Luo Bin, and the twin-tailed loli next to him is An Qi."

Fang Xin nodded at them. Before coming here, he had already decided to take care of the Eternal Night Army's matters first, and then meet up with Li Bao'er and the others. "Then let's get straight to the point. Shall we go to that forbidden area now and bring out the physical body of that senior from the Eternal Night Army?"

Seeing Fang Xin's decisiveness, Zhu Qiluo laughed heartily, "Good! The entrance to the forbidden area is ahead!"

Zhu Qiluo had already scouted the location before Fang Xin arrived, and she led him towards it with familiarity.

Passing through layers of mist, when they reached the place, they could vaguely see that it was a valley that stretched as far as the eye could see.

Whether it was an illusion or not, when they arrived, Fang Xin vaguely saw golden light flickering deep within the canyon.

And from before Fang Xin entered here, the power that had been calling to him seemed to be in the middle of this place.

"It's in here!"

Zhu Qiluo was the first to walk inside.

The moment they stepped from outside the valley into its interior,

a layer of ripples, visible to the naked eye, seemed to undulate in the air.

As people stepped into the valley, gravity suddenly changed.

Fang Xin, who often trained in gravity chambers, naturally felt that the gravity at the entrance was already double.

Between the valleys was a path of bluestone, artificially constructed.

They walked for over five hundred meters.

By the roadside was a strange rock over three meters tall.

Three large characters were carved on the strange rock.

Leiyin Valley!

Upon reaching the vicinity of the strange rock, one could clearly feel that the gravity had changed again, now becoming triple gravity.

This gravity was no problem for Fang Xin.

However, the people next to him, after all, did not possess Strength Talent and could not compare to Strength-based Mangfu, but fortunately, they could endure triple gravity with a gritted jaw.

Zhu Qiluo took the lead, and the group walked further inside.

"Someone!" Luo Bin suddenly exclaimed, pointing into the mist.

The others all looked over.

"Where the hell is there anyone!" Zhu Qiluo irritably slapped Luo Bin, who was eating roasted chicken, on the back of his head.

Luo Bin shrank his neck, not daring to talk back.

Zhu Qiluo turned her head to look at the twin-tailed An Qi.

Fang Xin clearly sensed that An Qi possessed a Perception Talent, and An Qi shook her head, "I don't sense anyone at all!"

Luo Bin scratched his head and chuckled dryly, "Maybe I'm just weak from kidney deficiency and seeing things!"

They walked for over a kilometer.

The gravity had already reached more than four times.

Everyone looked troubled but still gritted their teeth and walked forward.

Fang Xin suddenly stopped and looked ahead.

An Qi then exclaimed, "It really seems like there's someone!"

Zhu Qiluo's spatial ring on her finger flashed, and she held a whip with barbs, staring intently into the mist.

A breeze swept by.

Mist swirled.

Fang Xin stared at the deepest part of the valley, where golden light flickered faintly.

The ethereal summons grew stronger.

The wind also carried faint sounds of Buddhist chanting.

But amidst the chanting, there were also miserable cries for help.

These sounds all came with the breeze.

Luo Bin licked his greasy lips, "Damn it! Zhu Jie, did you hear that? Someone's chanting, and someone's crying for help!"

Zhu Qiluo pricked up her ears, clearly hearing the chanting and cries for help, but the mist swirled, obscuring everything.

She turned her head to look at the twin-tailed An Qi again. An Qi closed her eyes, and a few seconds later, she frowned slightly and shook her head, "I can't sense anything! The gravity here is almost five times, and my heart is already starting to feel uncomfortable, Zhu Jie. If we go any further, we might not be able to bear it!"

Zhu Qiluo turned her head to glance at Fang Xin, then said to An Qi, "Can you sense the exact location of that senior's physical body?"

"I can't sense it! It's at least a kilometer away!"

Zhu Qiluo rotated her wrist and handed a spatial ring to Fang Xin, "This is the reward Second Brother Kou promised you!"

Fang Xin accepted it without ceremony, casually glancing at it. It was a dragon-entwined spear, emanating a fierce aura.

"The few of us don't have Strength Talent, so it's already very difficult for us to hold out this far. The rest is up to you!" Zhu Qiluo continued.

The wind blew through the valley again, carrying chanting, cries for help, as well as strange, eerie laughter and frantic, tragic weeping.

Hearing it sent shivers down one's spine.

"Second Brother Kou said there's no need to overexert yourself. If you can bring him out, bring him out; if not, it's fine. It won't be too late to retrieve him during the final exam. If you encounter any danger, just run. As long as the green hills are there, there's no need to worry about firewood. Only by being alive is everything possible. Moreover, the difficulty of bringing out the physical body is very high, so he told you to act within your capabilities!"

"I also mean the same. This place is quite strange and eerie. Just go in and take a look. Our demands aren't high; just find out where the person is! This will pave the way for the next time we come in!"

Fang Xin replied, "Understood!"

He stepped inside.

In a few breaths, Fang Xin disappeared into the vast mist.

Luo Bin rubbed his arms.

The wind whined, swirling, rolling up the mist in clusters and sending them into the sky.

Cries, laughter, whispers, roars, giggles—all sorts of sounds mingled within, carried by the wind and then carried away.

The sound of chanting was sometimes calming, sometimes chaotic, unsettling the mind.

Luo Bin's arms were covered in goosebumps, "Zhu Jie, I feel like this place is so eerie! Letting that kid go in alone, it feels a bit unprincipled, doesn't it!"
