Chapter 6: Trench Shield Dog

“Hmph~”

Zeraora had a rather unpleasant night.

He pushed A Tu’s fumbling hands off his body, preparing to get up and wash.

It was a good thing his Trainer didn’t end up becoming a CS, otherwise he would have cut whatever was poking him from behind in half.

Walking silently to the bathroom, Zeraora looked at himself in the mirror and couldn't help but feel a strong sense of shame. Although the clothes were easy to wear and the fabric was quite comfortable, still…

“Oraoraoraora!”

How could a cat accept wearing women's clothes!

Just as he was about to take off the maid outfit, A Tu pushed open the door and saw Zeraora disheveled.

A Tu: “Huh?”

Click.

Bang!

He slammed the door shut.

“Oraora!” (Wait, Trainer, you misunderstood!)

“Zeraora, I thought you were a wild and untamed male cat, but it turns out deep down you’re a cute little female cat.”

A Tu said, looking at the photo he had casually taken with his phone.

“Zeraora, how did you manage that when you don’t have anything?”

“Ora! Ora!” (I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you!)

“Gardevoir, pull me out…”

Gardevoir used Confusion to pull A Tu out of the wall.

“Shana~” (Trainer, why do you like courting death so much?)

A Tu patted the dust off his head. Zeraora, under his teasing, had successfully gone red, embedding him into the wall with one punch.

“This isn’t courting death; this is just expressing my care for Zeraora, isn’t that right, Zeraora?”

A Tu saw lightning constantly flickering in Zeraora’s hand, and the teasing words he was about to say were swallowed back down.

“Ahem, anyway, let’s start the stream now!”

A Tu set up his phone, positioning the camera to perfectly capture Zeraora and the computer he was operating. This way, he could not only show Zeraora’s cute maid appearance but also display Zeraora’s superb skills.

“Alright, brothers, we’re streaming again today! This time, I’m not going out to introduce those creatures. I’m going to show everyone my good brother’s high-level gameplay.”

On screen, Zeraora greeted the people in the live stream with a shy expression.

“Hmm, Ora…”

【Holy crap, I woke up too fast. Seeing this creature in a maid outfit makes me want to get a Staryu.】

【Cute, I have a plan.】

【You upstairs, put away your little plan. Didn’t you see him smash a table with one punch yesterday?】

“This world really has a lot of talented people.” Looking at the barrage of comments that had already flooded the screen, A Tu couldn't help but break into a sweat. Zeraora’s appearance was having a bit too much effect; some people were already planning to team up and sneak in to put Zeraora in a sack.

“I believe everyone has seen it, right? The so-called monsters in your mouths are actually intelligent individuals, not man-eating monsters. Like Zeraora, the black-faced big cat beside me, he is not my private property, but my friend, my brother. Please, viewers, stop calling them monsters. They have their own names, and a collective term: they are called Pokemon.”

Zeraora, beside him, nodded.

【Well said, but can you first compensate me for the ten acres of radishes in my vegetable patch? The creatures you introduced yesterday, called Rattata, ate them.】

【I don’t agree with the streamer’s view. Perhaps only a very small number of individuals possess intelligence close to humans, but certainly not all of them.】

【The streamer is just talking big again. Send that Zeraora over and let me see him first.】

A Tu had long anticipated that not many people would support his viewpoint. After all, it had only been two days, and changing the public’s perception of these Pokémon was not an easy task, let alone accepting them.

“Don’t worry, dear viewers, I will prove it to you in the coming days.” A Tu said sincerely, “Zeraora, come on, eight treasure congee, activate!”

Zeraora opened the eight treasure congee and began the first round of offense and defense for the day.

【One hour ago, the special operations team permanently halted the tunneling machine underground in the desert and obtained evidence of Hafuk’s research on biological toxins in the penetration zone.

This Dawn Operation aims to bring new life to this desert, which has been ravaged by Hafuk.

Once the flare ascends, immediately take the infantry vehicle to assault the train station.

After taking the platform, quickly jump down the vertical shaft.

Be sure to destroy the live wire in the penetration tunnel.

And seize the maintenance passage to prevent enemies from flanking.

Then, follow the railway directly into the poison nest.

Fight! Make Hafuk’s biological laboratory completely disappear from the map!】

“Ora.” (It’s a map I haven’t played before.)

“Eliminate the enemies, then occupy all areas!”

Zeraora picked up the M4A1 assault rifle, which was finally usable by a normal person, and advanced towards point A.

“Our forces are clearing objective Alpha.”

Zeraora plunged into the battle, having forgotten the shame brought on by the maid outfit.

“Knockdown! Knockdown!”

“Magnetic bomb thrown!”

“Ah! Need help!”

Zeraora was knocked down by three shots from an unknown source, freezing in place.

A Tu glanced at the weapon that defeated him and said with a grim expression, “That’s not surprising.”

Oh, it was Lord M250. Then it’s fine.

“Oraora!” (What kind of gun is this? It killed me in three shots. Is this a cannon launcher?)

Regaining his confidence, Zeraora followed his teammates’ footsteps and captured point A.

“Objective Alpha is ours!”

“The darkness created by the enemy has enveloped this desert… and this Dawn Operation is to bring it back to light.”

On the way to charge into B1, Zeraora saw a desperate scene.

Four shield dogs lined up, the little cat couldn’t get in.

Grappling hook hits, takes an elbow, redeploy and re-enter.

Zeraora: “…”

“Oraoraoraora…” (This operator, seriously, how was this operator made, eight treasure congee developer!)

Zeraora snuck back to point B1, secretly placing a deployable beacon inside the point, when he suddenly heard the sound of a huge metal object moving.

Turning around, those four shield dogs were also looking at Zeraora.

Hiss, can we reconcile?

“Grappling hook hits, clang, clang”

“Ah~”

Zeraora slammed his fist onto the stainless steel table with full force, not holding back, directly punching a hole through the half-centimeter thick table.

“Oraoraoraora…” (Ah! I’ll just take a shield that big, hey! I’ll just take that anti-theft door from A Tu’s house, take a shield that big, walk around the map holding it, others hit me, I get 50% damage reduction, I can even hook you over, constantly ramming you, hey! My name is Deep Blue, I’m the stepdad of the eight treasure congee developer, I’ll just *duang! duang! duang!* at the people in eight treasure congee! I’ll just *duang! duang! duang! duang! duang! duang!* at that thing…)

Zeraora became more and more agitated as he spoke, and the chair couldn’t bear the weight. Zeraora fell off with a thud, only then realizing his loss of composure when he went red, and the table that had been punched through.

He glanced at A Tu guiltily and said to him, “This table is a bit poor quality. Let’s get another one…”
