Chapter 8: Relink Brain-Computer (Arzeus Version)

“This thing was given to us by Arceus. If a human wears it on their head, they can understand what Pokemon are saying; if a Pokemon wears it on their head, they can speak human language.”

Zeraora shook the Relink brain-computer in his paw, suddenly remembering that there seemed to be a map, and the commander in the game had mentioned this item in his opening remarks.

Picking up his phone and searching, Zeraora read others' analyses of the game's plot. All in all, this brain-computer wasn't a good thing, but it was made by Arceus.

With skepticism, no one dared to put the brain-computer on their own heads.

After a while, A Tu was the first to break the silence.

“Gardevoir, Meowscarada, you two watch me. If I go crazy after putting this thing on, pull it off immediately, understand?”

“Trainer, wait a bit longer. Let’s experiment with a wild Pokemon first.” Gardevoir disagreed with A Tu’s idea.

“No need, let’s just do it. This thing is meant to allow humans and Pokemon to communicate normally. If we don’t even dare to use it ourselves, how can we persuade others to use it?” A Tu removed the protective cover of the Relink brain-computer. “Besides, with Arceus’s power, there’s no need for him to forcibly control us.”

“But…”

A Tu directly snapped the brain-computer onto his head, and everyone immediately tensed up, their eyes fixed on A Tu.

The “R” on the brain-computer glowed green, a sign that it had been officially activated.

From A Tu’s perspective, a light blue glow appeared around his vision, and a line of text appeared on his retina.

【Welcome to the Relink Brain-Computer. Arceus is in sync with you, information is limitless for you】

“It seems there’s no problem.” A Tu looked at the surrounding Pokemon and said calmly, “Oraora?” (Zeraora, can you understand what I’m saying?)

Zeraora was startled, thinking he was hallucinating.

“Oraora?” (Can you understand?)

A Tu repeated himself.

Zeraora nodded.

“I feel like my body has more strength. Is this also an effect of the brain-computer?” A Tu felt the strength in his body, throwing a punch into the air with force, clearly noticing that the speed of his punch was much faster.

“Let’s wait a bit longer. After about half an hour, see if I experience any negative effects, then you can consider whether to wear it,” A Tu said to his Pokemon.

Half an hour later, it was proven that A Tu’s worries were unfounded.

The brain-computer interface used an external structure, so there was no impact from poor signal or low effectiveness, nor were there any specific manifestations of it controlling his thoughts.

With A Tu’s tacit approval, Zeraora was the first to put on the brain-computer.

“Ah…”

Zeraora opened his mouth, trying hard to say a sentence, but for a long time, he couldn't utter a single word, only making “ah ah ah” sounds.

“Tra…in…er…”

Zeraora finally spoke his first word.

“Oraora!” (Zeraora, congratulations on being able to speak human language! Now go live!) A Tu said.

Zeraora looked at him speechlessly, realizing he was just being used as a slave.

“Oh, you can also do some things to enhance the atmosphere, like yelling ‘Master’ to the people in the live stream…” A Tu glanced at the maid outfit Zeraora was still wearing and suggested. Before he could finish, Zeraora launched a Plasma Fists at A Tu’s face, instantly adding another hole to the wall.

“Gardevoir… quickly pull me out.”

It must be said that A Tu’s physique was already almost like a Super True Human. Was this the power of Arceus’s Relink brain-computer?

Zeraora sat back down in the chair, picking up the mouse to continue his fierce attack.

【Little cat, you’ve been gone for almost an hour, are you playing hard to get?】

【Little cat, you’ve successfully captured my attention】

【Stop, I don’t want to die in the live stream】

Because Zeraora was wearing the brain-computer, he could now understand what the subtitles were saying, and there would no longer be situations where some bullet comments were skipped due to the AI’s slow speech speed.

“What are you all talking about?”

Zeraora spoke.

【?】

On the phone screen, a bunch of question marks flashed by.

【I woke up too fast, I actually hallucinated the streamer speaking human language】

【What the streamer has on his head looks a bit like a brain-computer?】

【It’s true, now I have to admit that the sky belongs to Hafuk】

【Come to the Secret Aerospace Garden, my grandma, and I will personally give you the latest 761 version of the brain-computer】

Zeraora watched the lines of bullet comments scrolling by, most of them expressing surprise and delight.

A Tu opened the system, looking at the rising Pokemon popularization rate, a slight smile on his lips.

0.00114514%

“It seems the number of fans is still too low.” A Tu said in his heart. Although gaining over a hundred thousand fans in one day was already incredible, it was still too far from his goal. To bring peace to the world, he had to grow bigger and stronger.

“Zeraora, cheer up, cheer up!”

“Team Wang, have you watched that streamer named Zeraora? He can now speak our country’s official language in the live stream.”

“I’ve seen it,” Team Wang said. He looked at the blank desktop, wondering what he was thinking.

Just this morning, he had received a notification from above, asking for all information about that streamer, including the creatures called Pokemon around him.

He was the second person in charge of the Second Great Purge operation, and he was very wary of the Pokemon called Gardevoir beside the streamer. Last time, fully armed, it was that kind of Pokemon that destroyed their attack, resulting in all personnel being wounded and only one juvenile individual being eliminated.

Now he didn’t dare to gamble whether that juvenile individual and the Pokemon beside A Tu knew each other.

“We can’t wait any longer! Notify all police officers to only carry lightweight weapons, locate the streamer’s position, and we will go find him.”

Team Wang turned to his deputy and said.

“Team Wang, are we going for an annihilation battle? It’s almost impossible to achieve with only lightweight weapons.”

“Fool! Since that creature he calls a Pokemon possesses intelligence, there’s a chance to fight at the negotiating table. If a fight really breaks out there, what about the innocent people around? Do you dare to take responsibility?”

“Yes, Team Wang, it was my oversight.”

“Alright, go quickly.”

“Yes!”

Team Wang watched his deputy leave, looking at the brightly lit high-rises outside the glass window, muttering to himself.

“Are these creatures called Pokemon a disaster for us, or an opportunity…?”
