Black Moon looked directly into the opponent's murderous heavy pupils. That gaze, not belonging to a human, didn't even resemble a living creature; it was more like a Void Realm demon ready to devour someone.
“How did this thing get into the Present world?” she wondered.
However, now was not the time for such thoughts. In an instant, several tentacles extended from the shadows behind Black Moon, like several soft swords with sharp blades, sweeping towards her back again.
But this time, those sharp blades only swept through an illusion.
The girl in the gray robe felt her vision blur, and the opponent's figure had already disappeared from her sight. She suddenly felt a chill on her shoulder, and negative psionic energy, accompanied by this icy sensation, penetrated her body and exploded violently.
She felt no pain, but she felt horror and a sense of crisis. In just one round, tens of thousands of the protozoa in her body, smaller than cells, were obliterated into dust.
However, at this moment, Black Moon also felt the same shock. Her butterfly dart had pierced the opponent's shoulder, but she felt no sensation of penetrating flesh, as if she had stabbed into a ball of water-soaked cotton.
In the past, with just this one wound, her psionic energy would transform into thought-threads, penetrating the opponent's body, dominating their internal organs, bones, blood, and even nerves and cells. However, her psionic energy seemed to have stumbled into an endless chaos, unable to find any target worth attacking. It was like an elite force prepared to directly assault the enemy's main camp to capture the flag, but upon entering the battlefield, found no enemy formation, only able to charge wildly through endless hordes of miscellaneous soldiers, eventually being forced to retreat due to exhaustion.
“Heh heh… Monster!” A ferocious smile appeared on Black Moon's face, and he lowered his fists, continuously delivering a rain of punches to the chest at short range.
The opponent’s gray cloak was completely torn to shreds, and she was slammed against the ship's armor plating, revealing a lithe and graceful body.
It was indeed a delicate and charming body, at least purely in terms of its lines. Unfortunately, such a good figure, one with a fatal attraction to a specific type of gentleman, was covered in insect-like carapaces, and insectoid barbs protruded from her wrists and armpits.
If one could still get aroused after seeing such a body, they must be a supreme overlord among gentlemen, a saintly hero among perverts, and a unique anomaly among old perverts.
Upon witnessing this scene, the refugees who had just been expressing sympathy suddenly awoke from their dream, letting out screams.
A trace of pain appeared on the “girl’s” face, which was that of an insectoid body with a human face. It wasn't pain from injury, but more like the feeling of having one's wallet stolen.
…This, this person, is so strong!
I haven't recovered yet, my body is far from evolving to a high stage, my psionic energy has just awakened, and I don't have enough kin and clones.
I am truly not his match right now!
The “girl” thought. But she immediately realized that they were on a ship. Everything on this ship was her weapon, but the opponent's burden.
She unfurled her tentacles again. These long organs extending from her back, each equivalent to another arm, were agile and powerful, each capable of unleashing destructive power no less than a divine weapon. However, the “girl” dared not act rashly, instead directly opening the sharp tips of her tentacles, revealing terrifying blade-like edges, like the maw of a Venus flytrap.
In the center of the maw, a liquid seemed to condense from mist.
The “girl’s” movements were already very fast, but Black Moon’s movements were even faster than hers. An invisible psionic energy field had already opened, like an invisible restraint band, compressing the “girl” and the tentacles spread out behind her into a ball. Immediately after, the Earl unleashed another fierce heavy punch. The moment his punch and the “girl’s” body made contact, the boiling airflow seemed to form a vortex, all bombarding the opponent’s insectoid body.
Even the thick, lustrous carapace showed obvious cracks.
And that wasn't all. Physical force and psionic mystery once again drilled into the opponent’s body, creating countless tiny “explosions” within her. The force, not yet spent, even directly reached her head.
The “girl” looked as if she had been slapped on the forehead, her expression dazed, and before her eyes could refocus, her entire body was slammed against the cabin door behind her. Immediately after, her neck was pierced by the opponent's butterfly dart, and her entire body was directly dragged to the tightly locked back door of the dining hall.
The Earl raised his hand, gathering psionic energy into a beam, and directly struck the switch ten meters away.
As the back door opened with a “whoosh,” the petite “girl,” with a sharp blade still stuck in her neck, took another fierce uppercut to the chin. The sound of their bodies colliding was so loud that one might have mistaken it for a house being struck by a wrecking ball.
She could no longer maintain her Balance, and her entire body flew backward, tumbling out of the door and into the narrow corridor behind her.
If anyone had just arrived at the scene, they would instantly decide who the villain was, wouldn't they?
Under such an impact, the “girl” spat out a mouthful of brownish-yellow viscous fluid, but in a strange way, she recovered her senses, though she couldn't help but inwardly lament. In such a narrow passage, her strong, slender limbs were impossible to fully extend, which was extremely disadvantageous.
She tried to retreat, but found that all the joints in her body were entangled by invisible steel cables, as if moving every finger required her utmost effort.
She took a deep breath, and her two rows of translucent, glutinous rice-like teeth instantly transformed into sharp blades. A faint, almost inaudible sound of bone friction emanated from her mouth, which instantly opened to an arc almost impossible for a human, like a reptile's.
It was only at this moment that the persona of this pitiful “girl” truly collapsed!
“Monster!” The refugees behind the dining hall screamed.
“Close the hatch!” Black Moon shouted back.
By this time, Captain Hanford and his men had already arrived, all armed. Judging solely by their reaction speed, their quality was already far above the average quality of most regular navies in the entire Universe.
“Don’t come over!” However, the Earl refused their offer of reinforcement. He spread his hands, and invisible psionic thought-threads crisscrossed in front of him, like a dense spiderweb. It was at this moment that the monster, disguised as a “girl,” opened its mouth, and countless small insects, much smaller than mosquitoes, roared out of its gaping maw.
Immediately after, there was a series of violent explosions.
The small flying insects spat out by the monster could actually explode, with a power at least approaching that of a single-soldier grenade.
More importantly, the shockwave of the explosion carried a trace of turbid air, clearly some kind of poison.
At this moment, a hint of solemnity finally appeared on the Earl’s face. He was still certain that he surpassed the opponent in martial arts, combat experience, and psionic energy rings, but who knew what other inexplicable innate abilities this monster possessed?
Fortunately, Captain Hanford, with whom he had collaborated many times, trusted him greatly and had already closed the hatch behind him.
“Then let’s play a bigger game!” the Earl thought.
He flung both hands, and the invisible threads of psionic energy transformed from a tightly woven net into sharp soft whips. In an instant, they pulverized all the mosquitoes in the corridor into fragments. Consequently, they all exploded almost simultaneously, but just before the chaotic energy could form a shockwave, the psionic threads reassembled, gathering them all together, and then vigorously shook them.
The explosion was guided by psionic energy, pouring backward in one direction, and all of it reacted against the monster. Her entire body was severely damaged again, with every part of her body issuing warnings.
However, fortunately, such an explosion created a violent recoil, completely slamming it backward to the end of the corridor. It steadied its body and did not immediately counterattack. The protozoa still active within its body quickly grasped the surrounding environmental conditions. It immediately performed a tactical backbend, and its body had already landed in a relatively spacious cabin.
This should be a cargo hold, roughly 10 by 10 by 3 meters in space. Although it wasn't spacious enough for the monster to freely unleash all its power, it was still better than the narrow corridor earlier.
The monster retreated a few steps, re-established its footing, and extended all its grotesque insect limbs.
It knew that if it were to fight with psionic energy, it would definitely not be a match for this seemingly “ordinary human.” So, it naturally exerted its utmost to utilize those abilities… that did not belong to psionic energy, did not belong to humans, and did not even belong to normal creatures!
“Come here!” It reached out, sticking its thumb out between its index and middle fingers.
Then, it licked its lips and directly pulled out the butterfly dart still lodged in its neck. With a casual squeeze, it reduced it to ash.
“I… am the master of evolution! If you can’t kill me now, I will be everywhere!” It shouted, and the cracks in its carapace, which had been blasted open, instead widened, emitting a “plop-plop-rustle” sound, as if countless insects were crawling.
The Earl sneered, and actually abandoned the advantageous terrain of the narrow corridor, directly entering the warehouse. He also closed the hatch behind him, blocking the path between the warehouse and the corridor behind him.
The monster was a bit bewildered, not quite understanding the opponent's actions, but it still directly spread its tentacles. At this moment, those soft, octopus-like tentacles transformed into insect limbs resembling a spider, with sharp bone blades extending directly from their tips.
Of course, saying “bone” was merely the impression given by the texture. At this moment, energy fluctuations flowed across the blade surface, coating it with a rapidly vibrating force field.
The Earl raised an eyebrow, and without waiting for the opponent to charge at him, he suddenly pushed out his hand.
His palm emitted a faint psionic pulse, which did not strike the monster's grotesque, twisted face, but instead hit another switch behind it.
All three layers of the ship's outer doors opened, and the internal airflow, along with boxed cans and bottled water, surged out in a rush.
The monster was caught off guard; its insectoid feet hadn't had time to grip the steel plate beneath them when it was struck by another psionic wave, causing it to lose Balance again. Carried by the airflow, its entire body drifted towards the open hatch.
“Naive! Do you think you can kill me like this? I am not those superficial biological weapons!” The monster snarled, its eight insect limbs spreading directly, like body-securing clasps, directly grabbing the door frame of the hatch!
Facing the increasingly violent airflow head-on, she once again opened her large, blade-filled maw. A highly toxic ray, capable of corroding the rising price of battleships, gathered before her throat, ready to spew forth.
“Whoosh!” A large cardboard box slammed into its face, and various canned salted fish and ham burst open. A sticky, greasy substance reeking of sodium nitrite instantly splattered all over it.
…The monster took two deep breaths, and four more arms extended from its back. Each arm held a ball of high-temperature energy!
Another large cardboard box slammed over. This time, the monster did not get hit again; it swung its arm and cut it open. However, a series of glass shattering sounds was heard, and a large quantity of high-proof alcohol surged out. This time, there was no sour smell of sodium nitrite and methanol mixed together; the alcohol, under the close-range effect of high-temperature energy, directly ignited, once again engulfing the monster.
Such damage was truly insignificant to this monster, but everyone believed that the psychological blow was certainly far greater than the physical one.
Didn't you see it not only closed its mouth, but also let go of the fireballs it was holding?
However, before it could extinguish the flames on its body, it was struck in the throat by a knee kick that carried a psionic wave vibration.
The monster felt that being hit head-on by a large mobile fortress back then probably felt something like this. The insect limbs extending from its back could no longer cling to the hatch, and it finally detached from the ship, falling into the Void Realm.
But, by doing so, didn’t you also come out? You’re a human!
It looked uncomprehendingly at its opponent, who was also flying out of the ship, still going strong, and realized that the opponent had put on a face mask at some point. Thus, no part of him was exposed to the Universe.
This monster wasn't very cultured, and most of the individuals it had devoured so far were just pirates and smugglers. Of course, it didn't know that the seemingly ordinary, form-fitting power suit its opponent was wearing was the Alliance's new DA12 powered armor combat suit, which inherently had spacesuit functionality.
The insect limbs on the monster’s back spread out with a faint glow, carrying it to hover in the Void Realm before it finally landed on the ship’s outer hull.
And at this moment, the Earl had already used the suction of his psionic energy to steady himself on the ship's outer hull. Those elusive psionic threads were expanding outwards in circles, with his body as the core. His right hand was naturally held in front of him, and at some unknown point, he had picked up a flat, approximately forearm-length metal rod. The tip of the rod seemed to have energy fluctuations flickering, but nothing clear could be discerned.
…No, it wasn't that nothing clear could be discerned.
The monster clearly felt an extremely dangerous aura. It fixed its gaze and looked closely again, finally vaguely catching a visual distortion from magnetic field fluctuations, much like the feeling when an Alliance Lightsaber activates.
However, that light blade was transparent!
“Come here!” The Earl’s voice came from behind the mask, and then he lowered his body, assuming a starting stance for a decisive strike.
Whether it was because sound couldn't travel in the Universe, or because the monster was genuinely scared, it remained motionless, observing intently.
“If you don’t come, I will!” the Earl said again. However, before he could move, the earpiece behind his mask rang three times, and then connected directly.
Immediately after, the most familiar voice rang directly in his ear.
“Hello? Feifei? I’m about to take a ship to Luminar now! When you’re done at the Starport, just meet me at Red Maple Factory. What happens next will definitely make big news.”
