Chapter 3: Albus Dumbledore

As Char approached, the wooden door to the study slowly opened, revealing the legendary White Wizard—Albus Dumbledore—conversing with his grandfather, Seraphiel. Several books floated around them, suggesting an ongoing discussion.

"Mr. Lyderos, it's a pleasure to meet you." The moment Char stepped into the study, Dumbledore immediately rose to greet him, extending his right hand in a friendly gesture of welcome.

His gaze was profound, as if it could pierce through the soul. "The long-awaited Child of Nature from Lederos Family. Judging by the signs of your awakening last night, your future is bound to be brilliant."

Char hurried forward a few steps, a little nervously grasping Dumbledore's hand. "Principal, it's an honor for me to meet you too."

"Char, may I call you that?"

"My pleasure, Principal."

"Char, I sincerely invite you to study at Hogwarts. I believe your arrival will not only inject new blood into the school... oh no, more accurately, into the entire magic world." Dumbledore's eyes were filled with admiration for Char.

"In fact, I have longed for Hogwarts for a long time."

A satisfied smile appeared on Dumbledore's face. "Excellent, Char. Hogwarts looks forward to your arrival. This is your acceptance letter."

Char reached out and took it. The envelope was made of thick parchment, and the address was written in emerald green ink. Turning it over, the flap of the envelope was sealed with red wax, bearing an emblem: a shield crest with a large capital 'H' encircled by a lion, an eagle, a badger, and a snake.

Carefully opening the letter, the first page read: Hogwarts School of magic, Principal Albus Dumbledore (President of the International Confederation of Wizards, First Class Order of Merlin, Grand Sorcerer, Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot).

Dear Mr. Lyderos:

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts School of magic.

Enclosed is a list of required books and equipment.

Term begins on September the first.

We await your owl by no later than July thirty-first.

Sincerely, Minerva McGonagall, Deputy Principal.

"I suppose I don't need to reply, Principal, sir." Char finished reading, put away the letter, and looked at the old man opposite him.

"Of course, I look forward to the day we meet at school." Dumbledore paused slightly, then nodded with a smile.

Afterward, Seraphiel and Dumbledore chatted for a while longer. When they finished, Seraphiel personally escorted him to the manor's entrance, watching Dumbledore depart in a Phoenix's flames.

"Grandpa, how will I learn the family's magic when I go to school?" Char asked the question he had been wanting to ask after Dumbledore left.

"That's no problem. As a Child of Nature, elemental magic is almost an instinct for you. Your will is the best medium for guiding magic."

"Besides, there's no ancient family heritage magic that you can learn yet. So, why not go to Hogwarts to broaden your horizons and enrich yourself?"

Seraphiel began tidying his clothes under Char's puzzled gaze, looking as if he was preparing for exercise.

"There's still a month until school starts. During this time, I will train you and teach you a little self-defense magic, so you don't get bullied when you're out."

Char nodded, listening to his grandfather's words. Just as he was about to turn and head towards the training ground, his grandfather stopped him.

"No need to go to the training ground. Grandpa will open your eyes today."

As soon as he finished speaking, Char felt the scenery flash before his eyes, and he arrived in an unfamiliar space.

He widened his eyes, unable to believe what he was seeing. The scene before him seemed to have risen from hell, a world as red as fire unfolded before him.

He stood on hard rock, with scorching lava beneath his feet, as if every step trod on the edge of death. Around him were towering red mountains, their outlines shimmering in the firelight, like Giants guarding this mysterious world.

"Merlin's flowery shorts ( ° Д ° )!!!"

"What is this place? Is this a level a Wizard can reach? Grandpa, can I learn this magic?"

Char looked at the scene before him in shock, feeling the scorching heat all around. He picked up a dark brown stone and squeezed it; it was real... His elemental perception also told him this scene was real!

"Hahahaha, this is my exclusive space that I opened. It's hard to say if other Wizards can reach this level, but if you're willing to work hard, it won't be a problem. As for whether you can learn this technique, that's up to you." Seraphiel watched Char's shocked expression with satisfaction.

"Come on, use every method you can think of to attack me." After saying that, he put his hands behind his back, looking completely unguarded.

Seeing his grandfather's completely undefended stance, Char immediately became interested.

He hadn't fought controlling elements since his awakening. Anyway, he wasn't afraid of hurting him, but he wouldn't use the power of fire; his grandfather's awakened element was fire, to avoid any mishaps.

With that thought, elemental forces of wind, lightning, earth, water, and wood instantly appeared around Char, guarding him.

"Hoo~ How many people in the family can only master two or three elemental forces in their lifetime? I only have one. Talent truly is something to envy." Seraphiel looked at the scene before him with some emotion.

Char, starting with zero-frame, used wind element, flying into the sky like lightning, his figure disappearing into the clouds.

At the same time, he fully mobilized both water and earth elements, making the ground tremble as if invisible hands were tearing the surface; boundless waters emerged from thin air, stirring up monstrous waves.

"Tsk tsk, to be able to instantly condense a massive amount of water out of thin air on such dry land, and also cause such strong tremors, the Child of Nature's application of elements truly defies reason... Let me show you how Wizards outside fight."

Looking at the rolling Giant waves and the strong tremors coming from beneath his feet, Seraphiel's originally relaxed expression became a little more serious.

He merely flicked his sleeve, and a magic wand silently appeared. With a light wave, his figure instantly transformed into a series of phantoms, nimbly flashing across the Diffindo ground.

And Char, from above the clouds, saw his grandfather clearly treading the waves amidst the raging torrents, not forgetting to wave at him.

Seeing this, Char didn't hesitate for a moment, directly drawing upon heavenly lightning and hurricanes.

The hurricane formed massive tornadoes, swirling up sea waves. Seawater mixed with shattered rocks soared skyward, forming thick water tornadoes. Explosive, thick lightning bolts scattered across the sea, continuously striking and relentlessly pursuing the flashing figure on the surface.

After a cataclysmic upheaval, Char flew in the sky, panting, looking at the gradually calming sea below, searching for his grandfather's figure.

"Remarkable, magic of such power can be released in a single breath, and you even created a small ocean for me. However, judging by your appearance, this seems to be your limit."

Hearing his grandfather's voice behind him, Char's hair immediately stood on end. Lightning exploded from within him, attempting to force him back.

"Hey, too late!"

Seraphiel ignored the exploding lightning before him and directly kicked out. An astonishing force struck Char's 'Lightning Armor,' sending him soaring out like a cannonball, crashing into the sea.

The seawater was splashed dozens of meters high by his impact, forming a massive curtain of water.

The seabed, moreover, suffered a violent impact, and the ground within a hundred-meter radius violently shook, as if about to split open. Dense cracks spread across the ground, like Giant scars.

Seraphiel extended his hand, condensing a flame rune. A surging flame suddenly erupted around him, as dazzling as the sun, and his figure slowly descended from the air towards the sea. The ocean also evaporated with his descent, finally revealing Char in the large crater.

"Cough cough... Grandpa, am I your biological grandson? I wasn't adopted, right... Don't people say there's a special bond between generations? Why such a heavy hand?"

Char lay spread-eagled in the large crater, the earth element around him frantically healing his injuries.

Fortunately, his robe automatically cushioned him when he landed, absorbing some of the impact. Otherwise, he probably would have been more seriously injured; this old man has no sense of restraint.

"Hahahahaha, this was to test your physical strength. Not bad, not bad. I used three amplification spells with that kick. The fact that you can still speak means your physical strength is not much lower than Lord Voldemort's."

Seraphiel looked at Char in the pit and nodded in satisfaction. His kick wasn't a casual one. After the awakening ceremony yesterday, when he draped the Wizard's robe over Char, he had subtly used magic to detect his physical strength before delivering the kick.
