Chapter 7: Liyue, a potential crisis

The next morning, everyone began their journey, and this long trek would not be easy.

Along the way, they encountered several waves of attacks from Gods, but thankfully, the Yakshas were there.

A shout from Damselette broke the silence, "Marcius!"

"You ate all my food again!" Guizhong puffed out her cheeks, angrily preparing to deal with Marcius.

Marcius tried to (cutely) get away with it, and the two chased each other through the group. Suddenly, Guizhong bumped into Qixuan.

"Stop messing around, we're here," Qixuan said.

Guizhong rubbed her head and looked around. The mountains beyond were rugged but still beautiful, and to the east was a vast ocean.

"Is this the place we're going to live from now on?" Guizhong asked.

"That's right," Qixuan replied, "It does look a bit messy, but have you forgotten what Zhongli's clearance is?"

Qixuan nodded to Zhongli, then pulled Guizhong back a bit. Zhongli leaped into the air, his eyes glowing gold.

With a wave of his hands, excess rocks were pulled from the ground and thrown into the sea by Zhongli.

They formed several small hills, and the basic terrain was cleared. Just as Zhongli was thinking of building some basic shelters, Qixuan reached out to stop him.

No way, she didn't want to live in a stone house again.

Qixuan indicated that she would handle it, then used the clearance of the Herrscher of Reason to rerun the facilities and residences Guizhong had built previously.

Zhongli wasn't surprised. Guizhong had already led the people to (settle in), and Marcius immediately ran to the kitchen. Xianyun and the others, however, had never seen Qixuan's clearance before.

"Seeing it today," Xianyun exclaimed, "It's truly wonderful to have chosen the right ally."

Qixuan also built a large "meeting room" in the center, saying it was for discussing matters and making decisions based on the minority obeying the majority. After dinner...

Inside the meeting room...

"Since everyone is here, I'll get straight to the point," Qixuan began. "The God War has broken out.

As long as everyone works together, we will surely win. Before that, we need to choose a leader. Does anyone have any opinions?"

Everyone expressed no objections. Without a strong leader, how could they survive this war?

"Since that's the case, then everyone vote," Qixuan said. "The minority obeys the majority."

As she spoke, she conjured several small boxes, marked with everyone's names, and some pebbles.

Everyone should think of their preferred candidate and put a pebble into the corresponding box. After the voting is complete, whoever has the most pebbles in their box will be the leader.

Not long after...

Qixuan looked at the vote count in front of her and found it difficult. Only her box and Morax's box had pebbles.

She wondered, "I'm suitable to be a leader? I didn't see that."

After some thought, only Qixuan and Zhongli hadn't voted, but the answer was obvious.

"Zhongli," Qixuan said, "I don't really want to manage. I'm good at fighting and other things, but this, let's just forget about it."

Qixuan stated that Zhongli was the God with the most contract spirit she had ever met, so this leader position belonged to him.

Everyone else also agreed. Zhongli was powerful in both strength and insight.

Zhongli accepted.

He also expressed his desire to survive permanently and to establish a nation.

The current population was still too small. (These were things Qixuan had shown Zhongli in magazines when she had nothing to do. As for literacy? Guizhong had taught it when Gui Li Assembly was first established.)

"Besides having a nation's name," Qixuan said.

"Zhongli, you also need a title, one that's particularly domineering and awe-inspiring," she said, striking what she thought was a cool pose.

"How about 'Lord of Geo'?" Guizhong said at this moment.

"Then, the nation's name shall be 'Liyue'," Zhongli declared. "With the system of 'contract' as the symbol of Liyue."

Everyone stood up and expressed their obedience to the Lord of Geo's decree.

Qixuan stated that this was only the beginning of a nation, and there was still much to be done.

"Before, the people had spontaneously organized an army called the Millelith Corps," Guizhong said at this point.

"I went to see them; they're all young people, but they're usually a bit lazy."

"Since we are to have our own army, it needs to be disciplined and strict," Zhongli said.

"An iron army that dares to charge into battle, shed blood and tears."

"Millelith Corps" is not good; it shall be called the Millelith. To protect Liyue, their hearts must be as firm and Unyielding as a "bedrock." In the future, whether for conquest or defense, they will be an important force.

As he spoke, he summoned the five Yakshas.

"To lead the Millelith, you need generals. Are you willing to fight for Liyue?"

"We were all rescued by Lord of Geo from the Dream God," Bosacius, the eldest of the Yakshas, said. "We swear to follow Lord of Geo until death."

"Good, Bosacius, step forward and receive your orders," Zhongli said.

"Here!" Bosacius replied.

"I respectfully obey Lord of Geo's decree."

"Today, I hereby appoint you Teng She Grand Marshal, to take charge of the leadership and command of the Millelith, Bonanus."

"Here!" Bonanus replied.

"Today, I hereby appoint you as the Great General of Coils, responsible for medical affairs within the army."

"I respectfully obey Lord of Geo's decree."

Subsequently, the Lord of Geo appointed Indarias, Menogias, and Xiao as the Great General of Fire Rats, Great General of Heart Apes, and Great General Alatus, respectively.

Indarias was the vanguard general, Menogias was the strategist, and Alatus was the guardian Yaksha.

After all these matters were settled, everyone began to get busy.

Guizhong continued to be responsible for taking in those displaced humans who had lost their refuge.

The Yakshas, on the other hand, posted recruitment announcements for the Millelith among the populace, and many young people eagerly signed up.

From then on, a slogan about the Millelith circulated among the people.

"Millelith stand firm, Unyielding like mountains."

Just as the people of Liyue were actively building, a force from the bottom of the sea quietly targeted this emerging land.

This force came from a God born in the deep sea.

Its own aura affected a group of sea monsters wandering in the deep sea.

This caused these sea monsters to become violent and bloodthirsty.

They swam to the surface and found many humans there, treating them all as food.

So, one night, the sea monsters launched an attack under the cover of darkness.

The Millelith responded quickly, led by Teng She Grand Marshal Bosacius.

The Yakshas and the Millelith engaged in a fierce battle with the sea monsters.

However, the sea monsters were skilled in underwater combat, and the Yakshas and the Millelith were temporarily in a difficult situation.

Upon learning the news, the Lord of Geo immediately used his Geo clearance to build sturdy rock walls, blocking the sea monsters' advance.

The immortals protected the people from the rear.

Qixuan, on the other hand, cleaved through with a sword, and the power of "Blaze" from the heavenly fire Vaporized a large area of water.

Seeing that they could not gain an advantage, the sea monsters quickly retreated.

After a bitter struggle, the people of Liyue finally repelled the sea monsters.

This battle made everyone realize that in the chaotic times of the God War, Liyue still faced many challenges.

But they did not back down; instead, they became more determined to protect Liyue, preparing to face more difficulties and obstacles in the future.

And this disturbance also awakened the God that had been dormant at the bottom of the sea.
