A moment later, Stelle arrived in the Dreamscape.
She looked around but didn't find the other three.
Just as she was about to contact them, a calm voice came from behind her.
"What are you looking at? We're over here."
Herta's calm tone startled Stelle. She turned around and saw the three of them.
"It's about time, let's go," Jiang Lin suggested.
Stelle nodded and skillfully led them to Chadwick.
A moment later,
Herta looked at the old man sitting on the bench, his face etched with the ravages of time, and she seemed a bit incredulous.
"This... you're not joking, are you?"
Jiang Lin and Ruan Mei remained silent, lost in thought.
"Hello, and this... hmm, lively child," Chadwick suddenly spoke, drawing everyone's attention.
"Dr. Chadwick?" Stelle tentatively asked.
"I'm glad I still recognize you, but... who are these people next to you...?"
Herta couldn't help but ask, "Doctor... how much do you still remember?"
Chadwick paused, then asked with some confusion, "You know me? But I'm afraid my memory... there's not much left."
Stelle watched from the side, and for some reason, she felt a pang of sadness.
She remembered that last time, before parting with this old man, there was still a faint sparkle in his eyes. Now... it seemed to have been extinguished.
Chadwick seemed to notice the change in Stelle's mood and spoke gently, "Young child, whether it's this time or last time, I'm happy you're here to talk with me."
Then Chadwick changed his tone.
"However, the Hounds won't be pleased to see you. You should leave as soon as possible."
Not far away, the Hounds responsible for guarding Chadwick tacitly pretended not to see the four of them.
They simply and silently blocked others, preventing them from being disturbed by other tourists.
"Don't worry, that problem has already been solved," Stelle reassured the old man with a confident expression.
"You mean..." Chadwick seemed to realize something and instinctively wanted to ask, but he changed his mind mid-sentence.
"Never mind. I probably... I probably don't need to know the details. I've heard some stories about the Nameless, and I guess you must be as formidable as those people in the legends."
Stelle felt a little embarrassed by Chadwick's praise.
"You're actually quite amazing too. When you said you were a member of the Genius Society, I didn't believe it at first. If it weren't for a problem my companion coincidentally had back then, I definitely would have gone to verify it with my friends in the Society."
Just as Stelle and Chadwick were chatting animatedly, she suddenly felt three faint gazes.
Stelle turned her head and met the eyes of Jiang Lin, Herta, and Ruan Mei.
Stelle gave an awkward laugh, then directly cut to the chase with Chadwick:
"We're here to help you this time."
"Thank you for your kindness, child, but..." Before Chadwick could finish, Stelle continued,
"Do you still remember Screwllum?"
Immediately, Chadwick seemed to be struck by a bolt of lightning. His pupils doubled in size, then quickly contracted.
The gloom that enveloped Chadwick began to dissipate, and everything in his demeanor started to brighten.
"Screwllum... Screwllum..."
