Chapter 64: An empty dream bubble

"the propagation?"

Sunday looked at the two Jiang Lins in front of him with some surprise, finding it a bit unbelievable.

"Let's go."

One of the Jiang Lins walked up to Sunday and spoke calmly.

Sunday looked at the other Jiang Lin, who was walking towards Gallagher... "Which of you is the original?"

Sunday turned back to the Jiang Lin in front of him, asking with some curiosity.

Jiang Lin thought for a moment, then said indifferently, "Either can be."

Sunday's brow furrowed. The information conveyed by "Either can be" was quite significant. Then, as if he thought of something else, he continued to ask, "So, the one who first came to Penacony... was that the original?"

But Jiang Lin just smiled slightly, saying playfully, "Guess."

Sunday fell silent. He had already found the answer in his heart. If Jiang Lin's words were true, whether it was the original or not no longer mattered.

The universe was so vast; he didn't believe that Jiang Lin wouldn't have such duplicates in other places.

The fact was just as Sunday suspected. After Jiang Lin gained this ability, he took advantage of his wanderings throughout the universe to leave behind many duplicates.

There were some on the Luofu, the Space Station, and even on Jarilo-VI.

Most of them existed as eggs, and when Jiang Lin wanted to activate them, they would quickly hatch.

To avoid being entirely found, Jiang Lin even intentionally left some eggs, scattering them randomly in space.

He let them drift with the current, wherever they might end up.

Of course, Jiang Lin also knew that the price of doing so was that his strength could not always remain at its peak.

If he did this, who could kill him? If someone attacked him and couldn't kill him, then that person would be in for a world of trouble.

Besides, his own strength wasn't very high; at most, he could slaughter anyone below an Emanator, as he had a special advantage against them.

But if you factored in some of the trump cards he had hidden... then the opponent had better pray that a Star God was willing to step in and protect them.

Sunday sighed at this moment, now greatly doubting if his threats were truly effective against Jiang Lin.

However, things had come to this point, and Sunday no longer had the luxury to think so much. If he pondered any further, the Company's Planet Annihilation Cannon would be aimed right at his face.

A few minutes after the other two left, Gallagher finally managed to appease Mian Mian.

So, without much hesitation, the two headed directly to Reverie (Dreamscape).

When they opened their eyes again, Jiang Lin and Gallagher found themselves in a dimly lit alley.

Jiang Lin briefly surveyed the surroundings and looked at Gallagher beside him.

"Don't you have a way to go directly to the destination?"

Gallagher walked straight ahead, saying indifferently, "Walk along this alley, and you'll see an elevator. Then we'll be there. It's not far."

Jiang Lin shrugged and followed him.

Soon, the two arrived at the center of the Place of Exile.

"What a peculiar environment. Let's go, we'll look for the legacy first."

After a brief moment of emotion, Jiang Lin said to Gallagher, signaling him to lead the way.

However, after only a few steps, Jiang Lin saw a special figure—Misha.

Jiang Lin paused for a moment. Gallagher noticed the situation and asked, somewhat puzzled, "What's wrong?"

Jiang Lin thought for a moment, silently leaving a "mark" on Misha, then shook his head at Gallagher.

"Nothing, let's keep going."

Although Gallagher was a bit puzzled, he didn't think much of it, assuming Jiang Lin was simply curious about his surroundings on his first visit to Reverie (Dreamscape).

Soon after,

The two arrived at a building with three memorial steles. What was peculiar was that the middle stele was blank.

A blonde uncle was guarding it. Seeing this, Gallagher briefly introduced him to Jiang Lin.

"This is Mika, the person in charge here."

Jiang Lin nodded, looking down at the memorial steles... Meanwhile, Gallagher pulled Mika aside to whisper.

"Razarina, Tiernan..."

Looking at the names on them, Jiang Lin thought for a moment, then directly took out his phone, snapped pictures of them, and sent them to the group chat.

Afterward, Jiang Lin frowned at the "sending failed" notification on his phone... After some thought, Jiang Lin decided to finish the main task first before dealing with it.

A moment later, Gallagher returned alone.

"Are you ready?"

Jiang Lin nodded, signaling him to proceed quickly.

Gallagher didn't mince words; he directly activated a device, and the entire building where the two were located began to ascend.

It stopped only when a peculiar garden appeared ahead.

"Let's go. Ahead is his final destination. Penacony's first, and last, Nameless—the Clockmaker, Ragwork Char Mikhail."

Jiang Lin nodded and walked straight ahead.

Upon reaching the destination, Jiang Lin saw an old man leaning back in an armchair, silent, in the garden closest to the full moon beneath the sea of the Memory Zone.

The Clockmaker—Ragwork Char Mikhail—he had already embarked on that endless long dream, and no sound could ever wake him again.

Jiang Lin walked up to the old man, remained silent for a moment, then sighed and gently took his hat and the Dream Bubble from his arms.

"You're also one of the Nameless, aren't you? Aren't you going to look inside?"

Gallagher asked, curious.

Jiang Lin shook his head, his tone flat: "No, it's empty."

Gallagher heard this and was a bit confused: "What do you mean? It's really empty? This old man is so mysterious?"

Jiang Lin calmly explained, "The content ran away on its own. I'll find it later."

Gallagher: ??

After Jiang Lin properly handled the two items, he said to Gallagher, "Let's go find Robin."

Gallagher nodded, and after leading Jiang Lin around to inquire for a while, they found the little bird mingling with a group of children.

Robin turned around and saw Jiang Lin and Gallagher. She politely said, "Mr. Jiang Lin, and Mr. Gallagher, we meet again."

Jiang Lin thought for a moment and decided to get straight to the point.

"I was entrusted by your brother to take you to a safe place."

Robin paused slightly, then asked hesitantly, "Is it because my disappearance has caused some disturbance outside?"

Jiang Lin shook his head, delivering the most suffocating words in the calmest tone: "That's not it..."

Before Robin could even sigh in relief, Jiang Lin's voice came again: "The Company has attacked. Your brother isn't confident he can guarantee your absolute safety."

(Dear readers, the author plans to create two original characters, gender currently undecided. Do you have any nice names?)
