"Pika, Pikachu!"
Pikachu, standing on Yu Feng's shoulder, seemed to have found a backer and kept chattering.
From time to time, he would point at the Team Rockets trio opposite him, his expression very angry, as if he was reprimanding them.
At the bottom of the pit.
"Pikachu!"
Ash, hearing Pikachu's Growl, immediately realized something had happened above. He used his hands and feet to try and climb up.
However, unfortunately, Ash was still human and couldn't scale walls like a Pokémon.
"Damn it, Brock, Xiao Xia, Yu Teng Sheng Dai, can't you think of a way?"
Ash looked at the trap walls, which were like an insurmountable natural barrier, and asked Xiao Xia if they had any ideas.
"You're stepping on me, I can't think of anything."
Xiao Xia's complaining voice came from below Ash. How could she help think of a way with him stepping on her? It was a good thing Brock was cushioning her below, otherwise she didn't know how much it would hurt if she fell.
"Exactly, hurry up and get off!"
Yu Teng Sheng Dai also told Ash to quickly remove his foot from her, as stepping on a girl was a very bad thing to do.
Brock didn't speak, but his silence was deafening.
"Ah, alright, alright."
Ash then quickly moved his noble foot off the three of them.
Yu Feng, standing by, couldn't help but want to complain. Think of a way? Were Pidgeotto and Butterfree eaten by you? At the very least, wasn't there still Bulbasaur? Brock also had Onix with him. You didn't think of any of them.
"Less nonsense, you just stay there, and we'll take good care of your Pikachu then."
Although they hadn't caught Pikachu yet, it didn't stop Jessie from promising Ash that they would take good care of him after catching him.
After all, this was their good Pikachu for promotions and raises.
"Enough talk, fire away and catch this Da Guitou too, Meow!"
Meowth, on the other hand, told them to stop talking nonsense and that catching Pikachu was more important than anything else.
James, hearing this, no longer procrastinated. He lightly pulled the trigger on the bazooka, and an overwhelming barrage of rubber balls shot out, attempting to catch Yu Feng and Pikachu in one fell swoop.
A Flamethrower shot out from behind Team Rockets, melting all the slowly advancing rubber balls in the sky.
"What are you?"
This puzzled Jessie and the others. Besides Ash and his friends, how could anyone else be here at this time?
Turning their heads, Charmander had appeared behind them at some point, glaring at them menacingly.
Yu Feng also nodded when he saw Charmander. The little tail that had followed them all this way was finally willing to show itself. If it had been any later, he wouldn't have been able to resist making a move on Team Rockets.
"Lee!!!"
Charmander pointed at the Team Rockets trio, seemingly saying something. Luckily, Meowth among them understood Charmander's words.
"This guy is ordering us to stop, Meow?"
Meowth, with a surprised expression, repeated Charmander's words to Jessie and James. This was the first time they had been threatened by a Pokémon.
"What an arrogant fellow."
"Listen up, I'm not afraid of being intimidated by a little thing like you."
Jessie felt Charmander was a bit arrogant to dare threaten Team Rockets, and James was even more direct. A Charmander roughly the same size as Meowth posed no threat in their eyes; they only wanted to catch Pikachu.
It wasn't because the rubber balls would melt from the Flamethrower, which is why they ignored him.
"Meow, if you've got the guts, try it!"
Meowth was even more direct, beckoning with a finger for Charmander to try. Were they afraid of a Charmander?
(Charmander: I've never heard such a strange request.)
After hearing Meowth's words, Charmander's eyes were tightly shut and his body trembled continuously, as if he was enduring something.
Team Rockets, for some unknown reason, had a surge of curiosity and no longer paid attention to Yu Feng, running over to observe what Charmander was doing.
"Rua!"
Charmander, as if unable to hold back, unleashed a thick Flamethrower directly engulfing Jessie and James.
After a long while, Charmander stopped its Flamethrower, looking indignantly at the Team Rockets trio, who were burnt black and turned Shinny.
The three silently put down their bazookas, leaped over the trap, and fled into the distance from Yu Feng's side.
"That's too sneaky! Who just suddenly sprays Flamethrower!"
"I hate that stinky Charmander!"
"He's ridiculously strong, Meow!"
"What an awful feeling!!!"
The three ran into the distance amidst their screams.
"Charmander is strong?"
What was said casually was taken seriously by others. Da You, who was doing something in the bushes, looked at the fleeing trio with a puzzled expression... "Come, come up."
Yu Feng used Psychic to pull all four of them up.
The few people who were pulled up breathed deeply as if they had finally seen fresh air.
"Charmander, did you come specifically to save us?"
Brock looked at Charmander, who had specifically come to save them, with emotion, thinking that their painstaking efforts had not been in vain after all.
"Charmander, why don't you just come with us? No matter how long you wait, he won't come."
Ash once again extended an invitation to Charmander. They knew very well that Da You had abandoned Charmander, and even if Charmander waited, he wouldn't come. Rather than that, it would be better to go with them.
"Oh, it's you. I heard you got stronger."
Da You's annoying voice suddenly came from the side.
"Why are you coming back now?"
Yu Teng Sheng Dai, who had just been saved by Charmander, didn't have a very good impression of Da You now. He would actually abandon such a cute Pokémon.
"Of course, I'm here to pick him up as per my agreement."
Da You, being utterly shameless, stubbornly declared that he was there to pick up Charmander, despite the murderous glares from five people. Anyone with eyes could tell why he was here at this moment.
Charmander looked at Da You, then at Ash and Brock who had helped him. In truth, he probably realized that he had been abandoned by Da You.
After all, if Da You truly wanted to pick him up, he should have come last night.
"No matter what, I was the first one to catch him."
Da You said proudly, with his hands on his hips. After all, Charmander was his Pokémon no matter what.
"But you said you threw him into the mountains."
Ash was furious at Da You's shameless remark. He had clearly abandoned Charmander himself, and now he was brazenly coming back to reclaim him.
"That's because I thought he was weak at the time. It's only natural to discard weak Pokémon."
"Although I originally didn't want to come pick him up, seeing that he's made some progress, it saves me the trouble of training him."
