Giovanni, sitting in the shadows, had an unreadable expression. Only his hand stroking Persian showed his inner turmoil.
Originally, Meowth and the others had reported a troublesome Trainer boarding the ship, so he had specifically dispatched Athena to escort the operation.
And this was the answer he received?
Being hypnotized before reacting—was this a joke?

Athena kept her head bowed low. The mission's failure was her mistake. She had initially thought the troublesome Trainer Musashi and the others mentioned was a fabrication.

Giovanni stopped stroking Persian and called out to his secretary.
“Boss.”
Matori, wearing a uniform and black stockings that men liked, with glasses and a purple bob, emerged from the shadows in high heels, as if she had been waiting for a long time.
