Chapter 141: A slightly scary day (next one?)

After receiving the news from Gyarados, Gardevoir, who was holding a Poké Toy, realized that no one here had received the message yet. She subtly glanced at the snowdrift piled up in the distance, then disappeared from the spot with her best friend, leaving only the patrolling Kirlias.

After an unknown amount of time, even the patrolling Kirlias left the area, but Yu Feng, buried under the snowdrift, remained motionless.

The Kirlias, who had patrolled this area twice, almost couldn't resist uncovering the snowdrift to see if something had happened.

This was a treasure of the Clan; if anything happened to him, they would truly be driven out.

Fortunately, by the time they walked past for the second time, Yu Feng had already poked his head out of the snowdrift, revealing a pair of eyes.

“Hmm, it looks like they’ve all gone far away.”

Confirming that it would take more than ten minutes for the Kirlias to return, Yu Feng crawled out of the snowdrift with his younger sister. There was still plenty of time.

Looking at the river, Yu Feng barely recognized where he was. The opposite side of this river should be Ursaring’s territory.

Now, he had to be more careful. Ursaring was different from Beedrill; he could run from a Beedrill, but an Ursaring…

So, the next actions must be extremely cautious. He couldn't be caught. His small body couldn't withstand a single blow.

“Ralts? (Are we almost there, big brother?)”

Shiny Ralts rubbed her somewhat tired eyes. It was all her older brother's fault for being so warm that she fell asleep.

“Almost there. You should rest well.”

Yu Feng gently told his younger sister that in less than an hour, they would reach their final destination: Aunt Brimwin's Clan Grounds.

“Ralts. (Oh, good night, big brother.)”

Hiding and sneaking around all day had made the not-so-big Shiny Ralts very sleepy. Since her birth, she had never experienced so many things.

Hearing Yu Feng's words, she shifted her body, found a comfortable position in Yu Feng's embrace, and continued to sleep.

Looking at his sleeping younger sister, Yu Feng's face showed an indescribable tenderness. He took off his clothes, placed his younger sister inside, then tied the clothes around himself. After confirming it was secure, Yu Feng continued his journey to Aunt Brimwin's Clan Grounds.

To avoid disturbing his younger sister's sweet sleep, Yu Feng chose to float across the ice.

After crossing the defense line formed by the Kirlias, Yu Feng officially entered Ursaring's territory.

It was fortunate that it was winter now; most of the Ursaring were already hibernating, with only a few Teddiursa still awake.

He hoped he would encounter the Teddiursa he knew, otherwise, a fight would be unavoidable.

The winter forest was as desolate as ever; besides the vast expanse of white, only occasional bird calls could be heard.

It was as if he was the only one in the world, though it would be better if his younger sister wasn't snoring.

Fortunately, he didn't have various phobias, otherwise, this stretch of road alone would have made him faint several times.

“Winter really is… I can’t find anything to eat. I should have brought Bounsweet along. At least then I’d have juice to drink now.”

Only now did Yu Feng regret not bringing some Grass-type companions from home when he left, leaving him with nothing to eat.

Although he knew there must be food in Ursaring's cave, it wasn't a question of whether there was any, but whether he dared to go.

If he met those few Teddiursa he knew, perhaps he could ask them to bring some things out of the cave, but given the current situation, it seemed unlikely he would encounter them.

Fortunately, his younger sister was asleep now, otherwise, he would have to worry about food for two.

“Woo-meh?”

A familiar sound came from behind Yu Feng. Although the owner of the voice sounded very confused, to Yu Feng, it was like hearing heavenly music.

“Teddiursa? It really is you! Long time no see!”

Seeing the Teddiursa with a tuft of pink fur on the moon mark on its forehead, Yu Feng felt truly lucky today.

Speaking of being hungry, he met an acquaintance—oh, no, a familiar bear.

“Woo-meh!”

Teddiursa was also very happy. Although he didn't know why he suddenly appeared here, he was really happy to see his good friend.

Unfortunately, Yu Feng's stomach rumbled at an inconvenient moment, making the reunion quite awkward.

“Woo-meh?!”

Hearing Yu Feng's stomach rumble for the first time, he was stunned for a moment. After all, before this, it was usually him who was hungry like this, but if his good friend was hungry…

Although a bit reluctant, Teddiursa immediately offered his paw, signaling Yu Feng that if he was hungry, he could lick it.

Looking at Teddiursa's gesture, Yu Feng was very touched, but he still declined Teddiursa's kind offer.

Mainly, he really couldn't bring himself to do it. If it were Professor Oak, he might actually try it, but with his germophobia, he'd rather not.

Oh, Teddiursa wasn't asking Yu Feng to eat his paw, but to eat the honey on it. Teddiursa would put honey on its paw and suck it every day.

Hmm, marinated in a different sense? And the honey of each Teddiursa tasted different. In short, Yu Feng, with his germophobia, kept his distance from this option.

“Woo-meh?”

Seeing his good friend refuse his kindness, Teddiursa didn't say much, as it wasn't the first time this had happened.

He was willing to share with him because they were good friends; otherwise, anyone wanting his honey would be like asking for his life.

But if he didn't eat, he was hungry now. Teddiursa thought for a moment and remembered that he had stored some winter provisions here.

Teddiursa waved his paw, signaling Yu Feng to follow. He then followed his memory to find the provisions he had stored at that time.

Yu Feng originally didn't want to spend time getting food, because once he passed this forest, he would be in Aunt Brimwin's territory.

Unfortunately, this wasn't something he could just decide not to do; his stomach expressed strong protest.

Pressured by his stomach's strike protest, Yu Feng ultimately resigned himself to following Teddiursa.

The world is vast, but eating is paramount.

Teddiursa sniffed the scent he had left behind, approaching his food storage spot.

After all, this was their territory, and there were many Teddiursa. If he bumped into one he didn't know, it would be troublesome, although the person behind him wasn't afraid of this problem at all; in fact, he had to be well-fed and well-cared for.

He finally understood why he appeared here. He felt a bit dizzy when he woke up, but now he finally figured it out.

He remembered he was sleeping, but he ended up in a world of ice and snow. Besides those bothersome Gardevoir, who else would do such a thing?

Although seeing his friend when he first opened his eyes was a good thing, being dragged out like this really made the bear unhappy.
