“Ai Wan!”
“Ai Wan!”
Two Indeedee, holding glow sticks they’d found from who-knows-where, waved them, cheering for Yu Feng.
“Whose Pokémon are you, anyway?!”
Looking at the Indeedee, which had gotten up at some point and ran off to cheer for Yu Feng, Yu Huijun had an old complaint he didn’t know whether to voice. Playing along with me is one thing, but at least play along for a bit longer.
How can you cheer for the opponent while watching your teammate get beaten? At least pretend to be lying on the ground.
The Indeedee made a face at Yu Huijun, then continued cheering for Yu Feng, infuriating Yu Huijun into impotent rage.
The battlefield changed rapidly. After landing, Gallade actually regained some initiative, fighting back and forth with Shiny Kirlia in a series of teleports.
From time to time, he also had to dodge the backstabs from Shiny Gardevoir. These were literal backstabs.
Shadow Ball in her left hand, Energy Ball in her right, her main goal was to knock him out if he got hit.
After all, he didn’t think he could take a hit from a ball half a body length larger than himself; one hit would probably keep him down for a day.
After repelling Shiny Kirlia for who-knows-how-many times, Gallade, panting, reminded his Trainer that the opponent was abnormal.
He was exhausted from using Psychic powers at this intensity. What kind of monster was that Shiny Kirlia? She had been fighting him for so long and still seemed at ease, even though he was clearly stronger.
Although he could sense a Psychic connection to the opponent, he only thought it was for communication.
However, unfortunately, his idea was completely wrong. The opposing Trainer’s silence and the large, beautiful Gardevoir he saw standing still were because the two of them were using Psychic powers to buff Shiny Kirlia.
As a Gardevoir, Yu Feng’s Psychic abilities were inherently better than Gallade’s. Furthermore, there was a Gardevoir twice his size beside him, and Yu Feng had a natural, perfect Psychic connection with his Lao Mei.
It was equivalent to him fighting three people all along. Moreover, while enhancing Lao Mei, Yu Feng could even spare some time to land a few heavy blows on Gallade.
“No choice. After Swords Dance, use close combat!”
Yu Huijun couldn’t interject in the previous situation. He could guarantee that if he had commanded, Gallade would have been beaten even worse. After all, Gallade could sense Psychic fluctuations, but he couldn’t.
Once a wrong command caused Gallade to hesitate, the situation would be even worse, so commanding could only happen at this moment.
Gallade used Swords Dance, dodging Shiny Gardevoir’s Magical Leaf, while continuously closing in on them.
Shiny Kirlia, seeing Gallade charging, closed her eyes. Two blue lights instantly flashed from her body, and at the same time, her cherry lips slightly parted: “Lu~~!”
An angelic song rang out. Although the song sounded beautiful to Yu Feng and the others, Gallade, however, covered his ears with a pained expression.
At the same time, his eyes turned slightly red, and he continuously punched his chest, attempting to cause himself harm.
Seeing this, Shiny Gardevoir and Shiny Kirlia’s eyes lit up simultaneously. They hadn’t expected it to actually succeed.
Instantly, the two disappeared from their original positions and reappeared above Gallade. One held an Energy Ball, the other a Shadow Ball, and then they slammed them onto Gallade.
As the smoke slowly dissipated, Gallade was lying on the ground, eyes spinning, having lost his ability to battle.
“Gallade has lost his ability to battle, so the winner is Yu Feng!”
Fu Ningna confirmed that Gallade was unable to battle for a short time, so she announced Yu Feng as the winner.
“Honestly, if it weren’t for Indeedee playing a trick on me, it wouldn’t have been so hard.”
Recalling Gallade into his Poké Ball, Yu Huijun couldn’t help but complain. His Indeedee was acting strange today.
Playing a trick on him was one thing, but when he asked her what was wrong, she wouldn’t say, just being rebellious.
“Ai Wan.”
Indeedee smiled at Yu Huijun as usual. Could she say that this was her good sister’s cub? No, since her good sister hadn’t even told her cub what their father looked like, why should she interfere?
Perhaps her good sister was planning something. Although she knew it wasn’t that the Trainer didn’t want to find her, not going was not going, and nothing could change that.
Anyway, she just had to watch. Besides the fact that this good sister’s cub preferred sweet tastes, unlike his mother who preferred bitter, everything else was quite similar.
“I can’t argue with you, and you won’t translate what you mean.”
“Anyway, let’s go find Joy. Half an hour has passed already.”
Yu Huijun had nothing to say about his Indeedee’s sudden rebellion today. Anyway, the main goal wasn’t to battle, and Gallade hadn’t used his full strength.
They had gathered information; they couldn’t use Mega Evolution to fight, he still had some dignity.
However, their current goal was to get some stage decorations from Joy, which should be mostly ready by now.
So, after a quick discussion, everyone decided to go to the front desk to ask Joy about the situation.
“You’re here. These are the things you wanted.”
Before they even reached the front, they saw Joy approaching them, pushing a small cart with a Chansey, the cart filled with items for the stage.
“Hmm, these should be enough. We’ve also troubled you with our Pokémon, Joy.”
Yu Feng checked the items on the cart and estimated the size of the small stage. The items Joy found should be enough for decoration.
Then he got up and handed three Poké Balls to Joy, indicating for her to help heal his Pokémon. Seeing Yu Feng’s actions, Fu Ningna and Yu Huijun also handed their Poké Balls to Joy.
“Oh, no, it’s our job.”
Joy waved her hands repeatedly. These were just things they were supposed to do, and saying that made her a little embarrassed.
“Just one of you needs to stay. I saw a Pidgeotto earlier distributing flyers saying there’s a beauty contest in two hours. I suppose that’s why you’re borrowing these things.”
Joy also gave them some advice. After all, borrowing these items suggested they were hosting the beauty contest, and two hours from now would be around one or two in the afternoon.
If they hurried, they could still decorate the venue properly so it wouldn’t look like a ruin. As for here, one person was enough to stay.
“Then you two go back, and I’ll stay here? One is an idol, the other is a friend; you two should be helpful.”
Yu Huijun suggested that he stay here to get the Poké Balls and deliver them. After all, he wouldn’t be much help if he went.
“Actually, I’d suggest Xiao Feng stay. I have something to tell him.”
Joy, who had left and returned at some point, looked at Yu Feng with a joyful expression, seemingly having something to discuss with him.
