Chapter 65: I knew it!

"Kirlia! (Psybeam it down!)"

Shiny Kirlia waved a large hand, commanding Shiny Hatenna to use the strongest move she had learned so far.

Of course, if she could see the front, she would have noticed Shiny Hatenna looking at her speechlessly, as if all this excitement made her think she was a Trainer.

But for Yu Feng's badge, a rainbow-colored beam of light appeared in front of Hatenna, hitting the paralyzed Staryu at an extremely fast speed.

"Staryu!"

Xiao Xia anxiously watched the thick smoke rising from where Staryu was, knowing that her Staryu was in serious trouble.

As expected, when Staryu reappeared, the red gem in its center was already flickering, indicating it had no stamina left.

"Kirlia! (Yay, I defeated the first one! Is being a Trainer this awesome?!)"

Shiny Kirlia jumped up and down happily, this feeling was completely different from when she defeated an opponent herself. No wonder her annoying older brother wanted to be a Pokémon Trainer so badly.

"Return, Staryu."

"Go, Starmie!"

Xiao Xia held a Poké Ball, and a red light hit Staryu, recalling it into the Poké Ball. After telling it it worked hard, she pulled out another Poké Ball.

A grey Starmie appeared from the Poké Ball, looking spirited. How to describe it? Starmie looked like two Staryu stuck together with a different color.

"Kirlia! (Magical Leaf!)"

Shiny Kirlia was truly becoming more and more immersed in the role of a Trainer. The moment Starmie entered the field, she commanded Shiny Hatenna to use Magical Leaf.

Numerous leaves flew towards Starmie. Starmie, not receiving any command from Xiao Xia, stood still and took the damage from Magical Leaf.

"Starmie! Dive into the water first!"

Watching Starmie endure the Magical Leaf damage, Xiao Xia could only command it to dive into the water to avoid further damage.

Starmie, after diving into the water to dodge Magical Leaf, instantly leaped out of the water, spinning as it charged towards the stationary Shiny Hatenna. The Magical Leaves close to it were all blocked by its high-speed rotation.

"Kirlia! (It can be used like that?)"

Shiny Kirlia was a bit dumbfounded watching Starmie spin and deflect Magical Leaf. Can this move be used like that? Then couldn't she use Shadow Ball followed by Teleport to hit the target, and then Teleport back?

The more she thought about it, the more reasonable it seemed. Darn it!

While Shiny Kirlia was momentarily stunned, Starmie had already hit the Shiny Hatenna, who was waiting for commands.

Hit, Shiny Hatenna cried out in pain and flew backward, barely grabbing the edge of the floating platform.

"Hatenna! Hatenna Hatenna!"

Shiny Hatenna turned to accuse the dazed Shiny Kirlia. If you're going to command, command properly. Why get halfway and then disappear?

"Kirlia. (Sorry, sorry, I was thinking just now. Use Confusion to control it!)"

Seeing Starmie about to repeat its tactic, she quickly had Shiny Hatenna use Confusion to control its movements. Play is play, but don't actually lose.

Starmie was held in the air by Confusion, trying to break free, but it was futile.

"Kirlia. (Give it the final blow! Psybeam!)"

Shiny Kirlia, imitating what her older brother liked to say in her memories, pointed at Starmie and gave Shiny Hatenna the command to finish it.

Shiny Hatenna felt a surge of exasperation in her chest, unsure how to express it. After much thought, she still unleashed her Psybeam at the Starmie in front of her.

The Psybeam was like a sharp arrow, hitting Starmie and knocking it directly against the door behind, where its red gem, like Staryu's, flickered, signifying it had no stamina left to battle.

Recalling Starmie into its Poké Ball, Xiao Xia walked up to Shiny Kirlia with a somewhat displeased expression. Don't misunderstand, she wasn't angry, but being swept 2-0 was truly embarrassing.

And to be defeated by a Pokémon commanded by another Pokémon, and an initial-stage Pokémon at that, was utterly humiliating.

Xiao Xia composed herself, took out a blue badge from her pocket, and handed it to Shiny Kirlia: "I knew this would happen. This is the blue badge. Congratulations."

Of course, after giving it, Xiao Xia also relaxed a lot. After all, Yu Feng himself would have easily gotten the badge, so it wasn't unacceptable.

Her main enemy was Ash, but after battling Shiny Kirlia, she temporarily couldn't battle.

Just as she was about to tell Ash that their battle would be postponed, Shiny Kirlia stopped her.

"What's wrong?"

Xiao Xia looked at her, puzzled. Why did she suddenly stop her?

Seemingly understanding Xiao Xia's thoughts, Shiny Kirlia gestured for her to release her Pokémon.

"You want me to release Starmie and the others?"

She looked at Shiny Kirlia's actions with some Confusion. After all, Staryu and the others had no stamina left; releasing them now was less beneficial than letting them rest in their Poké Balls.

"Kirlia. (Just release them.)"

Shiny Kirlia rarely interacted with others, as Psychic translation of things could more or less pry into others' privacy.

She just wanted to properly look at the first badge she had obtained. If she didn't want them to quickly resolve it, she wouldn't have bothered to translate.

"You can talk? Alright, I'll listen to you."

Xiao Xia was about to say something else when she saw Shiny Kirlia glare at her, so she had no choice but to release Starmie and Staryu.

"Ding~ Ding~ Ding~"

The released Staryu and Starmie were extremely weak, their red gems on their chests constantly flickering. Even though Shiny Kirlia had largely ensured their injuries weren't severe, the exhaustion of stamina was unavoidable.

In front of them, Shiny Kirlia put her hands together in front of her chest, and a green liquid rained down on Starmie and the others.

Upon contact with the liquid, the gem on Starmie's chest stopped alarming, and it also looked much more energetic.

Seeing that Life Dew had a good effect, Shiny Kirlia casually followed up with a Heal Pulse.

Now Starmie and the others were close to recovering to their peak condition; at least, a battle with Ash would be no problem.

"This, this, this..."

Xiao Xia looked at the recovered Staryu and Starmie in shock. What kind of move was this that could restore a Pokémon's condition?

However, Xiao Xia didn't need to worry about that much. She looked at Ash with burning fighting spirit and said, "Ash, what do you say, dare to come? My Staryu has already been through one battle, you know."

"What's there to be afraid of? Just you wait for me!"

Ash was also excited. He had originally thought his battle would be postponed, but he hadn't expected Yu Feng's Pokémon to have such a trick.

Ash, unlike Xiao Xia and Brock, couldn't easily descend from a height of three or four meters; he could only run down quickly via the side passage.
