Chapter 76: A slightly scary day (Part 2?)

“How strange! Why is Kirlia even out?”

Yu Feng poked his head out, looking at the Kirlia being led by Gardevoir to search for him and the others, feeling a headache. Why had they even brought Kirlia out?

Only after that group of Kirlia had passed did Yu Feng lead his Lao Mei out.

“Let me think. There’s a river ahead. Once we cross it, we won’t be far from Auntie Hatterene’s territory. This river seems to be Gyarados’s territory.”

“But it’s winter now. If we’re careful, we shouldn’t disturb him.”

“What do you think, Lao Mei?”

After deciding what to do, Yu Feng scratched his neck, wondering why it felt a bit itchy.

However, Yu Feng still respected his Lao Mei’s opinion, as this wasn’t just his own matter.

“Ralts~ (I have no objections, I’ll leave everything to Big Brother.)”

Shiny Ralts gave Yu Feng a big smile.

She always trusted her Big Brother; after all, besides her mother, he was the one she trusted the most.

“Don’t worry, I’ll definitely get you there safely.”

Yu Feng was instantly healed by his Lao Mei’s smile, a strange blush on his face as he stroked his Lao Mei’s head.

“Ralts~ (Of course I trust Big Brother~!)”

Shiny Ralts reached out, wanting Yu Feng to hug her. After all, Big Brother’s body wasn’t like theirs; he couldn’t withstand this cold.

Mother said that humans like Big Brother were the most vulnerable. That… what was that sickness called, a cold?

Shiny Ralts didn’t quite understand, but she always remembered what her mother had said about taking good care of Big Brother.

“Alright, hold me tight, my little princess. We’re off.”

Yu Feng held his Lao Mei in his arms, thoughtfully wrapping her in his clothes. He couldn't let such a cute Lao Mei catch a cold.

Shiny Ralts felt the clothes, still carrying Yu Feng’s body heat. Her delicate little face was flushed, but because it was tightly covered by her hairstyle, no abnormality was visible. Her small white hands tightly gripped the ends of the clothes.

“Ralts! (Let’s go!)”

She absolutely had to protect such a good Big Brother. She heard that humans would get married later or find a girlfriend?

Although she didn’t know what a girlfriend was, her mother said that girlfriends would steal her Big Brother, so they definitely weren’t good things.

She absolutely couldn’t let Big Brother be stolen by such creatures. Shiny Ralts made up her mind that any so-called girlfriends who approached Big Brother in the future would not succeed.

At this moment, Yu Feng had no idea what his Lao Mei was thinking behind him. His only thought now was to take good care of his Lao Mei.

Leaving that aside for now, the two hadn't walked far before they reached the small river.

The normally rushing river was now completely frozen solid. On the smooth ice, several Gardevoir were constantly patrolling.

Not far away, on a patch of broken ice, a Gardevoir, holding a Poké Toy in her mouth, was fiercely smacking Gyarados’s large mouth.

“gardevoir! (Are you going to talk?!)”

“gardevoir! (Tell me now!)”

The Gardevoir, holding a Poké Toy in her mouth, was fiercely smacking Gyarados’s mouth while interrogating him about something.

“Gardevoir. (Stop hitting him, he’s passed out.)”

The Gardevoir with a ponytail stopped her friend, then tiny Magical Leaf appeared around her, ignoring her friend’s questioning gaze.

Seeing this, the Gardevoir with a ponytail nodded in satisfaction. Then, with a wave of her hand, the Magical Leaf flew like a swarm of summer mosquitoes towards Gyarados’s massive body.

“Roar!!”

Don’t let the pitifully small leaves of the Magical Leaf deceive you; the pain they inflicted on Gyarados was not diminished in the slightest, immediately waking him from his unconscious state.

A powerful roar expressed his pain. The snow on trees within a hundred meters was directly shaken off by Gyarados’s roar. Unfortunately, Yu Feng and his Lao Mei were right in this range, and a large pile of snow instantly buried him and his Lao Mei.

“Gardevoir~ (That’s more like it. If he’s unconscious, no matter how much you ask, it’s useless.)”

Looking at the Gyarados who had been painfully awakened, the Gardevoir with a ponytail nodded in satisfaction. It wasn’t in vain that she had diligently practiced this technique for tormenting Pokémon, which had low consumption and low damage, but the pain remained unchanged.

She turned to look at her friend, signaling her to continue the interrogation, but was met with her sister’s disgusted expression.

“gardevoir! (What’s with that look? What’s wrong with having a little hobby?!)”

This displeased the Gardevoir with a ponytail. Couldn’t she have a small hobby? What kind of look was that!

“Gardevoir. (I’m warning you, don’t use this on our sisters, or I can’t guarantee what the Clan Leader will do.)”

The Gardevoir with a Poké Toy in her mouth carefully looked at her friend, who felt unfamiliar to her, and said seriously. She didn’t want to end up bailing someone out of the confinement room.

“gardevoir! (Do I look like that kind of person?!)”

The Gardevoir with a high ponytail was a bit displeased. What kind of talk was that? This was practically slandering her.

She just wanted to, whenever she caught poachers or those Pokémon or humans who provoked them, if she hit them too hard, she’d have to heal them, and if she hit them too lightly, they wouldn’t reveal their intentions. A skill like this, with low damage but persistent pain, could make them spill everything they knew.

“Gardevoir. (You look quite like it. Alright, are you going to talk or not?!)”

How could the Gardevoir with a Poké Toy in her mouth not know her friend’s usual behavior? But what she did was none of her business. Before she could react, she turned her gaze back to Gyarados.

And the Gardevoir with a ponytail, seeing that her friend completely ignored her, was so angry that she hit Gyarados even harder, making him roll uncontrollably from the pain.

“Roar ♦”

Gyarados, who had finally finished his torment, let out a weak roar.

“Gardevoir? (You didn’t say?)”

Hearing what he said, the Gardevoir with a Poké Toy in her mouth’s eyes changed, and she asked her friend, somewhat surprised, if she hadn’t spoken to Gyarados?

“gardevoir! (I thought you asked him!)”

Her good friend shrugged. She had thought her friend had already asked.

Now it was the Gardevoir with a Poké Toy in her mouth’s turn to be embarrassed. She had thought Gyarados was being stubborn, but it turned out they hadn’t even asked him.

“Gardevoir. (Tell me, have you seen our young master and young mistress?!)”

However, they had done things like this before, so the embarrassment would pass. It wasn’t a big deal.

“Roar!”

Hearing that they had finally gotten to the point, Gyarados also became excited and spilled everything he knew like pouring beans. Then, he sank into the water contentedly, knowing that this time no one would inexplicably drag him out for a beating.
