Chapter 17: Swift Sword Lu Qi
In a short while, the Tuo Yun Horse arrived at the cave entrance.
They didn't recognize Ye Yang, but Ye Yang and the other person had already recognized their identities. They exchanged a glance with Wang Huan, who was behind them, and prepared to charge into the cave.
Just then, the clanging sound of colliding swords and spears echoed.
Before he could even see anyone, Ye Yang saw a scrawny old man, holding a large ox-bone machete in his right hand and a Green Phoenix White Dragon Sword in his left, cursing loudly.
“Five Poison Sect, I’ll curse your Immortals! If I don’t hack you bastards to death today, then I, Wang Sandao, have lived all these years for nothing!”
But as soon as the coarse words left his mouth, Ye Yang saw the old man forced down from low altitude by a red toad the size of a millstone.
He landed unsteadily on a tree trunk, seemingly badly injured.
Wang Sandao had a narrow face, a thin body, yellowish, dry skin, high and large cheekbones, and thin, long arms and legs. From a distance, he looked like a sheet of bean curd drying on a few bamboo poles.
However, his frail body possessed immense strength.
At this moment, he let out a loud shout, his body like a Flying Ape, dodging the red toad, and soaring into the sky once more.
Before long, the sound of swords and spears clashing came from the sky.
Only then did Ye Yang clearly see seven or eight figures in the sky, among whom five were the most conspicuous.
One person wore a green gecko robe, with lifeless eyes and a tall, thin figure. Another wore a red toad-patterned robe, short and stout, with a belly as large as a drum.
One person wore a black hollowed-out mystic snake robe, holding a Poison Dragon Spear. Another wore an inner and outer purple scorpion round-neck undershirt, revealing a body of fierce muscles, and held a pair of Emei Daggers.
The last person was an old woman, with white hair and a face full of withered, wrinkled skin and age spots.
She held a centipede staff, and on the staff lay an adult-sized red-scaled centipede.
They were precisely the Five Poison Emissaries of the Five Poison Sect!
These Five Poison Emissaries were located in the five different directions of east, south, west, north, and center. With each move, poisonous smoke billowed, Yao Beasts roared, and their fierce might was extraordinary.
Caught in the encirclement of the five people were three individuals. One of them was tall, holding a Black Sun Shining Day Sword.
His Qi was like a rainbow, and his Sword Qi crisscrossed, almost single-handedly suppressing two Five Poison Emissaries.
He was Sword Vajra Ge Canhong.
Of the other two, one was as thin as a bamboo pole, with a sallow complexion; he was “Shao Yang Sword” Wang Sandao.
The other had a face like jade, a tall crown and wide sash, with three strands of beard reaching his chest, dressed as a Daoist priest, and held a fiery red auspicious cloud ganoderma jade ruyi scepter. He was Fire Vajra Wang Xijing of the Flying Heaven Gate.
The two were within the encirclement of the Five Poison Emissaries. At this moment, they used all their techniques, dodging left and right, appearing quite disheveled, and their situation was precarious.
Ye Yang was wondering why Bai Zizhen had asked him to come to Shaoyang Cave when he heard someone in front shout:
“Kill these two thieves! I recognize the person behind them; he is Wang Huan, Wang Sandao’s junior Disciple.”
Ye Yang looked up and saw that beside the torch-like large stone in front of Shaoyang Cave, several people had already sharpened their knives, jumped down from the stone pillars, and were charging towards them.
“Let’s go quickly! I know the Formation hub at the cave entrance. We can enter the cave through the secret passage and help Master and the others drive out the villains.”
Wang Huan spoke, but Ye Yang did not respond to him.
He was here on a Sect commission to deliver something, not to rescue Wang Sandao’s Disciples.
Seeing Ye Yang unmoved, Wang Huan immediately grew anxious, constantly urging Ye Yang.
Ye Yang, however, was still pondering the purpose of the Sect sending him here.
Bai Zizhen had handed him a white bag tied with a red string at the time and said, “When the time comes, you will give this item to the Sect Senior.”
The Sect Senior Bai Zizhen mentioned most likely referred to Ge Canhong and Wang Xijing.
Now that the Flying Heaven Gate had clashed with the Five Poison Sect, he was thinking about how to give the items to the two of them.
“Don’t think Master and the others are above us; they are actually inside Shaoyang Cave.”
“The Shaoyang Cave’s illusory inverted mirror Formation can dazzle people’s eyes and has the effect of inverting inside and out. We can only enter the cave to help them.”
Hearing Wang Huan say this, Ye Yang turned the Tuo Yun Horse around, shook off the crowd, and galloped in the direction Wang Huan indicated.
The place Wang Huan pointed to was on a cliff on the south side of the mountainside.
It was winter, and towering peaks stood, with cliffs as smooth as knives. There was still a lot of unmelted snow in the shaded areas.
The golden horn on the Tuo Yun Horse’s head trembled slightly, and vines extended like they had grown hands and feet.
The two then used the vines as footholds to walk to an iron chain on the cliff.
They arrived at a cave entrance.
Due to the narrowness of the cave, the horse could not enter, so Ye Yang left the Tuo Yun Horse outside the cave, and the two squeezed into the cave.
After walking for a while, Ye Yang saw that the front suddenly opened up, and at the end of the cave was a spacious flat ground.
Whoosh!
Just as the two had climbed out of the cave, a dark light, swift as lightning and accompanied by the sound of wind, shot straight towards Wang Huan’s head, who was in front.
If it hit, Wang Huan would be splattered with blood and his brains would burst.
Ye Yang, in a moment of quick wit, raised his leg and kicked Wang Huan’s backside.
Wang Huan screamed in pain and rolled out directly.
The dark object was directly embedded in the stone wall of the cave entrance, mostly submerged, and it turned out to be a finely sharpened Flying Locust Sword.
Before Ye Yang could even breathe a sigh of relief, another Sword Qi attack came.
Ye Yang struck down the Sword Qi and then clearly saw that the attacker was a young man holding a soft sword.
This young man was in his twenties, with a tall and straight figure, dressed in an indigo blue outfit with moon-white piping on the cuffs and waist.
The silver soft sword in his hand was as flexible as a spirit snake flicking its tongue.
“Are you Swift Sword Lu Qi?”
