Chapter 3: The Power of Grace

Frankly speaking, Meng Yi was a bit bewildered right now.

Even when he was knelt before and called a god by everyone, he didn't truly consider himself a deity.

It just didn't add up!

He didn't feel any power within him capable of moving mountains or filling seas, nor did he discover any knowledge beyond that of a normal person.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have felt guilty about trying to fish for information!

But now, the situation where this environment changed with his thoughts...

Meng Yi's thoughts stirred, and he attempted to control the red mist within a small area.

Sure enough, the red mist within three to five meters in front of him dispersed, leaving the area completely clear.

It seemed he had a very strong control over this place!

He glanced sideways at the two 'angels', moving the red mist that obstructed his view, and Meng Yi felt a wave of disappointment; they were just stone statues.

He almost thought he truly had angels serving him.

However, since he could make such changes to the Red Mist Space, he could now ensure his own safety.

With this thought, Meng Yi felt slightly more relaxed.

He looked at the crowd below, praising in unison. Whenever these people spoke, his headache worsened.

"Quiet!"

Everyone instantly fell silent.

Meng Yi's gaze swept over the woman leading the group, and he casually asked, "Your name?"

The woman keenly noticed the change in the God's tone, which seemed to have grown a little more nonchalant.

The God had approved of her answer!

The God's attitude had changed; he no longer concealed the magnificence of the divine kingdom from his Believers.

And he was even asking her name!

Her voice was slightly agitated: "Cen Qiyun."

"Hmm..."

On the high platform, Meng Yi rested his chin in his hand, wondering how to ask his next question.

It seemed no matter how he asked, it wouldn't be appropriate.

Any question would undermine the dignity of a God; it would be very strange for a God to inquire about the state of this world.

Meng Yi frowned deeply; he couldn't even determine if the God was an 'outsider' or a 'local' God.

Cen Qiyun prostrated herself on the ground. After the God asked her name, he fell into a long silence.

She dared not think too much, fearing that her wandering thoughts might produce some disrespectful ideas, and she tried to empty her mind.

Meng Yi was a bit troubled, his gaze unconsciously sweeping across the high platform.

He had an idea. Since it was difficult to ask questions, he would let these people take more action.

He was still unsure what was going on with this Red Mist Space; it shouldn't be a physical entry, as the knife in his hand hadn't come with him.

He would try a small experiment first.

Just now, within the Red Mist Space, there was nothing but the high platform.

Oh no, it seems he's dragged this out a bit too long.

Meng Yi instinctively straightened up, but he firmly remembered his identity as a God and absolutely could not show panic.

He first let out a soft chuckle, then spoke with a smile in his voice:

"Cen Qiyun, step forward."

He himself shouldn't get up to observe the high platform; a God should remain high above.

Furthermore, instructions should be as vague as possible, allowing the other party to exercise their initiative. He had just made a mistake.

He asked too directly and specifically, opening with 'Where is this?'

That was too foolish; it blocked any potential future developments, forcing him to continue asking questions based on the other party's answers.

Now, it was different.

Stepping forward: stepping up one step is stepping forward, and stepping up nine steps is also stepping forward.

Given the God's command, the other party could only comply, and then he would gain the initiative.

He wondered if the high platform would change.

If the woman stepped onto it and nothing happened, he would have no choice but to ask 'direct' questions.

Hearing the God's instruction, Cen Qiyun slowly rose. Her head was bowed low, not daring to look up.

She took a small breath and slowly moved to the front of the high platform.

The nine-tiered platform, each tier two meters high, naturally extended a staircase at her feet as she approached.

Behind her, the Believers prostrated on the ground, except for a few who slightly raised their heads to glance at her, the others dared not move at all.

Cen Qiyun lifted the hem of her long robe and stepped onto the stairs barefoot. The touch of the steps was not cold, but rather warm.

As she walked step by step towards the lowest level of the high platform, Meng Yi's heart also rose.

Cen Qiyun stepped onto the high platform barefoot.

A light screen suddenly appeared before Meng Yi's eyes, and the people in the Red Mist Space instantly froze.

【You can randomly draw one Nine-Tiered Grace Power for the Believer from the following three directions.】

【One: Blood Magic.】

【Two: Ritual Magic.】

【Three: Elemental Magic.】

Meng Yi's mouth slightly opened. After all this, bringing so many people into this Red Mist Space was for this?

Draw for a Believer, am I really a God?

He looked at the frozen crowd; they should not be able to hear what he was saying now.

"Describe the three types of Magic."

The light screen remained unchanged, not moving at all.

This wasn't very smart.

Meng Yi wasn't discouraged. Since it was a random draw, he couldn't choose even if he knew, it was just an attempt to see if he could get some information.

It was just that all of them were Magic-related.

Was he a God who wielded Magic?

A Magic God?

And...

Seeing that the Believer was about to gain Magic, he, as a God, couldn't do anything yet!

Was this reasonable?

Meng Yi suppressed the strange feeling in his heart and drew!

The three options transformed into a wheel and began to spin.

The pointer finally landed on 【Blood Magic】.

Along with it came some simple descriptions.

【Nine-Tiered Blood Magic:

Preliminary control over the body's surface skin and flesh for crude disguise or transformation, capable of using low-level Magic such as flesh bombs.

Can preliminarily utilize the flesh and blood of other creatures to heal injuries to one's own body.

Significantly enhances physical attributes, with strength, speed, and reaction time being the most noticeable.】

It sounded disgusting.

Moreover, from the description, it was more like a supernatural ability than Magic, lacking spells and other knowledge-based elements.

Once the drawing result appeared, the light screen dissipated.

The red mist surged and rolled towards Cen Qiyun, seemingly injecting some kind of power into her.

Meng Yi stared intently at the woman, wondering what changes she would undergo.

A moment later, the stagnation in the Red Mist Space dispersed, and Cen Qiyun's recently lifted foot paused in mid-air.

Her face first showed confusion, then fear, and once she fully confirmed it, ecstasy!

Her right hand, flesh surged...

The God had bestowed power.

Yet, he had not demanded any offerings from her!

There was actually such a benevolent and generous God!

Cen Qiyun plopped down on her knees, repeatedly kowtowing: "Praise be to you, you are so magnificent..."

Meng Yi had no mind to listen to what the woman was saying; his heart was now filled with shock.

Just after Cen Qiyun received the power, a sudden realization flashed through his own mind.

He could also use this Nine-Tiered Blood Magic!

Moreover, he could retrieve the bestowed power from Cen Qiyun at any time.

Meng Yi looked at his left hand, where a flesh spike protruded.

It seemed that he, the God, and the Believers were mutually achieving something?

But where did this Blood Magic come from?

He certainly didn't possess it himself. Was it the Red Mist Space?

Or...

Meng Yi recalled the strange Ritual site he had seen when he first woke up, and he felt a little guilty.

He hadn't stolen the Believers of some other God, and even taken some of their power, had he?
