Chapter 6: I saw something I shouldn't have seen.

Two beams of light assaulted him, and Meng Yi instinctively tried to dodge, but he forcefully overcame the urge.

Could his movements be faster than light?

Moreover, with over ten Divine Grace Users eyeing him like tigers, any extra movement would surely provoke an immediate attack.

That eye-patched Suo Mingcheng had been taut and ready to strike.

Meng Yi could only let the Adjudicator 'scan' him.

The Adjudicator's two distinct 'gazes' fixed on Meng Yi, but unlike with Cen Qiyun's right hand, they didn't sweep up and down.

He stood frozen in place, his heavy breathing suddenly vanishing.

Li Hao, wearing sunglasses, was the first to notice something was wrong; the moment the breathing stopped, he immediately turned to look at the Adjudicator.

"Are you alright?"

As soon as he spoke, the dozen or so Divine Grace Users nearby immediately focused on the situation.

The Adjudicator was now as still as a statue, and two trails of blood began to stream from his eyes...

Drop~

Blood beads fell to the ground but didn't splatter.

The soft, red blood beads landed on the ground without collecting any dust, rolling around the Adjudicator's hunched body like rubies.

Drop~ Drop~ Drop~

A series of blood-red rubies fell to the ground with crisp, pleasant sounds.

The continuous sound of dripping blood made Meng Yi's scalp tingle; he hadn't noticed anything wrong with himself.

A strange sensation came from his left side.

Meng Yi suddenly shifted his gaze to the left; Suo Mingcheng was in that direction, and his hostility had always been obvious.

Sure enough, Suo Mingcheng had already lunged at him, two bone-like long blades 'growing' from his hands, his single eye strangely averted, not looking at him.

Cen Qiyun, who had been caught between the two, also leaped back abruptly. She didn't understand the situation and didn't want to intervene rashly.

The Adjudicator's behavior had utterly terrified her, making her unwilling to stop any official actions.

Meng Yi hurled the Blood Magic bomb he had already conjured in his hand at Suo Mingcheng, resulting in a thunderous explosion and a spray of gore!

Direct confrontation was certainly not an option; escaping was the best strategy.

Blood Magic could slightly alter one's appearance; as long as he escaped under the cover of night, he would be fine!

Meng Yi had never been so calm. He could even analyze the situation and make judgments.

The Blood Magic explosion could only stall them temporarily; he didn't believe the opponent would be so easily killed by him.

There were still a dozen people around!

In a flash, Meng Yi used the recoil from the explosion to leap to his right, and the short knife at his feet was moved by Blood Magic along the path of his thigh-abdomen-arm to his right hand.

Then, he wielded the short knife, carved out two pieces of flesh from his left arm, and threw them to where he had just been standing.

Now, not only was he exceptionally calm, but he could also harm himself to cast Blood Magic without a change in expression.

Should he see a psychiatrist?

He was just an ordinary college student!

Meng Yi turned his gaze to the others, but the scene before him made him slightly dazed.

He had prepared for all the Adjudication Department personnel to attack him, but apart from a limited few, the rest were rapidly moving away from the area.

They looked as if they wished their parents had given them two more legs.

Seizing Meng Yi's moment of distraction, a black-clad figure from a distance, holding two pistols, decisively opened fire on him.

The opponent seemed hesitant to look at him, and his aim wasn't very good; only a few bullets hit, and they seemed to be aimed at his legs.

The defense of Blood Magic had high resistance to such ordinary damage; most bullets lodged in his flesh, making it difficult for them to penetrate further.

However, these bullets carried a special effect, and Meng Yi's legs began to frost over.

He frowned; the opponent was targeting his mobility.

Li Hao reached out to pinch the frame of his sunglasses but stopped himself. The Adjudicator had shed blood tears after just one glance; he dared not look again.

As the explosion ended, Suo Mingcheng's chest and abdomen were covered in blood. His two bone blades had only just managed to cover his vital areas, and now he cursed loudly:

"Li Hao, if you don't act, I'm running too!"

"I don't dare to look!"

"Useless!"

Suo Mingcheng kept moving, retracting his left bone blade and transforming it into a menacing bone shield.

Li Hao opened his mouth to warn: "Watch out for traps!"

Boom—

Boom—

The two pieces of flesh Meng Yi had left behind exploded violently.

"Did you pick your own brain out?"

Suo Mingcheng was covered in dust and dirt, the explosion mixed with earth had thrown him back, and some flesh fragments that had pierced his skin were trying to burrow deeper into his body.

"Pah!"

He spat out the dirt from his mouth and used his bone blade to pick out the deepest burrowing piece of flesh.

"At this intensity, he doesn't seem like he just gained Divine Grace; he's at least an eighth-tier level."

Li Hao didn't even bother to refute him. Even the Adjudicator had suffered a great loss and hadn't recovered yet. Was he still treating the opponent as an ordinary Divine Grace User?

Indeed, Meng Yi had already left the Adjudicator's 'gaze,' but the latter still hadn't recovered.

Instead, more and more blood tears flowed, almost forming a small stream, and the 'rubies' around his body rolled around, making a rustling sound.

The conflict happened too quickly; the surrounding Believers hadn't reacted, and Cen Qiyun was even more dumbfounded.

She was now too distraught to pay attention to Meng Yi's excellent handling abilities; the Adjudicator's appearance made her heart pound.

For one of the participants in the ritual to inflict such severe damage on the Adjudicator, it could basically be concluded that something was seriously wrong with the ritual.

Now, if these three hundred and twenty-four people were determined to be contaminated by an evil god, there would be a high probability of executing a 'purification' procedure.

But the ritual truly succeeded!

She even entered the Divine Kingdom and saw the most benevolent deity.

Evil gods are insatiably greedy deities, a hundred times more avaricious than righteous gods. They devour everything: the blessings of righteous gods, the flesh and souls of mortals, and even useless dirt, which in the eyes of evil gods are luxuries to be seized at all costs.

The god above the red mist could absolutely not be an evil god!

The current situation was beyond her comprehension.

Meng Yi, however, only wanted to escape from here as quickly as possible.

The opponents were scared by the Adjudicator's state, and the few remaining who acted were hesitant. He dared not delay, allowing them to react.

As for what the Adjudicator saw, he would consider it later.

Two 'Blood Magic springs' appeared under Meng Yi's feet, helping him accelerate as he rushed out of the park.

This was Sixth Street Heart Park in Jing'an City's Outer City, surrounded by chaotic, old buildings.

As long as he could break out and dive into a complex environment, slightly altering his appearance with Blood Magic, he should have hope of escaping.

Behind him, Suo Mingcheng chased him, and gunshots erupted.

Thump—

The sound of a cane striking the ground.

Light suddenly burst forth above the park, rigidly confining everyone in place, unable to move.

Meng Yi couldn't even blink.

The Adjudicator's voice rang out:

"Stop!"
