Chapter 17: Yang No's Feelings

“You seem to have something you want to tell me?”

Mr. Su Rui looked at Yukinoshita Haruno. The two stood on the balcony, proudly looking out at the night sky, with only a little light from the living room shining on their shoulders.

Even so, Mr. Su Rui could still see Yukinoshita Haruno's expression with his vision, which was far superior to ordinary people. She was a little nervous, her hands gripping the balcony railing, her full bosom resting on it.

Yukinoshita Haruno pursed her lips with a conflicted expression, then carefully opened her mouth:

“Lord Su Rui, are you satisfied with my gift?”

‘She’s really worried that I’ll continue to retaliate against her because of what happened before, isn’t she?’

Mr. Su Rui couldn't help but find it amusing. Because of Shizuka Hiratsuka, he hadn't intended to do anything to this woman. It was just that Mr. Su Rui didn't like to suffer losses, which was why he demanded compensation from Yukinoshita Haruno.

As mentioned before, the amulet that Yukino Yukinoshita took out was actually not as good as something Mr. Su Rui made casually, but it should be very important to Yukinoshita Haruno and her family.

Since that was the case, Mr. Su Rui intended to consider this matter settled. However, since Yukinoshita Haruno brought it up, he didn't mind asking a few more questions:

“Tell me, where did you get those amulets?”

When Mr. Su Rui first contacted the head of the Si Gong family, he had asked them about spiritual power and the distribution of extraordinary forces in Japan.

But for some reason, the Si Gong family, which should be one of the largest forces in Japan, didn't know much about this aspect, only having some vague records.

Mr. Su Rui had not doubted that the Si Gong family head was lying to him, but after repeated confirmation, his conclusion was that they indeed did not know.

Now that he finally had a clue, he absolutely couldn't let it go.

Mr. Su Rui turned to look at Yukinoshita Haruno's cheek. In the shadows, she seemed to have gained a little sense of security and could respond normally to Mr. Su Rui's question.

After deliberating on her words, Yukinoshita Haruno said with a smile:

“Actually, that amulet was given to me and Yukino by a certain Bhikkhuni (the Japanese term for a Buddhist nun) whom we met by chance when we went to worship at a shrine.”

“So, you don’t have her contact information? Is that right?”

“Yes, that Bhikkhuni left after giving the amulet to Yukino and telling us that it might help us at some point. I investigated several times, but I couldn't find any information about her.”

Yukinoshita Haruno nodded, feeling a little uneasy about not being able to help Mr. Su Rui.

But Mr. Su Rui was not surprised by this. Even the Si Gong family had no way of contacting the so-called extraordinary forces, let alone the Yukinoshita family before him.

Mr. Su Rui nodded and said softly, “I understand. You should rest. I won’t pursue the previous matter.”

“Thank you for your generosity.”

Mr. Su Rui's words immediately made Yukinoshita Haruno sigh in relief. Her full bosom rose and fell sharply with her breathing. She subconsciously took a step forward and grabbed Mr. Su Rui's wrist.

“I…” Yukinoshita Haruno looked at Mr. Su Rui’s eyes in the darkness, her moist, rosy lips slightly parted, as if she wanted to say something, but a shy emotion flashed across her face, and then she avoided Mr. Su Rui’s eyes.

Although Mr. Su Rui didn't show much, seeing Yukinoshita Haruno's conflicted expression, he took a small step forward, leaned close to Yukinoshita Haruno's cheek, gently patted her, and then turned to walk towards the bedroom Shizuka Hiratsuka had arranged for him.

“...” Yukinoshita Haruno stood on the balcony, touching her cheek, watching Mr. Su Rui's departing back. After a long while, she snapped out of her daze and slapped her cheeks.

‘What’s wrong with me?’ Yukinoshita Haruno, who had thought she wouldn't have such emotions, now felt her heart pounding and her cheeks burning red.

Having witnessed the complexity and filth of the adult world, Yukinoshita Haruno felt that she probably wouldn't develop such pure longing and affection, but...

That burning golden flame, and his heroic posture when saving her and her sister, were truly unforgettable.

Oh no, I feel like something is off after recalling it.

Yukinoshita Haruno thought of Mr. Su Rui's gaze when he pierced the evil spirit cat with his blade and looked at her as she entered the room—cold, authoritative, yet it made her tremble all over, wanting to rush into his embrace.

‘Stop thinking about it, Haruno, be normal.’

Reaching out to press her rapidly beating heart, Yukinoshita Haruno stumbled, leaning against the wall, breathing heavily, with even glistening beads of sweat on her forehead.

Finally, she reached her and her sister's bedroom. Yukinoshita Haruno leaned against the door and gently knocked, calling out weakly:

“Yukino, come help, support me.”

There was a moment of silence in the room, then a “click” as the door opened. Yukinoshita Haruno immediately stumbled inward with the door, caught by Yukino Yukinoshita, who was wearing pajamas:

“What’s wrong, big sister? Did you do something bad and get punished just now?”

After seeing her sister drenched in sweat and with a flushed face, Yukino Yukinoshita immediately thought of something unpleasant. A blush instantly appeared on her cold face. She closed the door behind her and helped Yukinoshita Haruno towards the bed.

“No such thing. I, your big sister, just thought of something happy, that’s all.”

“Are you sure big sister wasn't trying to seduce Mr. Su Rui and got severely taught a lesson?”

Yukino Yukinoshita looked her sister up and down suspiciously. To confirm, she even reached out to try and check, but Yukinoshita Haruno slapped her hand away.

“Alright, little Yukino, I haven’t done anything like that with Lord Su Rui yet, and this matter has nothing to do with you. You still have to go to school tomorrow, so get some rest early.”

After slapping her sister’s hand away, Yukinoshita Haruno’s tone became serious, but Yukino Yukinoshita didn’t buy it. Looking at her sister’s disheveled appearance, she crossed her arms and looked down at her:

“So what? What if I tell Mother?”

Yukinoshita Haruno stiffened for a moment, then, as if she had thought of something, she put on a pitiful expression, looking at Yukino Yukinoshita with teary eyes:

“Waaah~ My sister doesn’t love me anymore. Even though big sister sacrificed so much for you, Yukino is actually planning to betray me and destroy the love I finally found~”

“Who would do that?!”

Stung by her sister’s words, Yukino Yukinoshita couldn't help but retort through gritted teeth.
