Chapter 110: Migrating tribes

Goro returned to his tribe in the Northern Mountains. Despite the fatigue from his journey, he anxiously struck the gong to summon the Elite Lizardmen.

“Clang, clang, clang,” the urgent gong reverberated through the valley, breaking the tribe's usual tranquility. Elite Lizardmen with three horns and above heard the gong and, putting down their tasks, rushed towards the castle from all directions.

Soon, the castle hall was filled with Lizardmen of various expressions. They whispered to each other, guessing Goro's intention for the sudden gathering.

Goro stood on the high platform in the hall, his gaze sweeping over the crowd with a solemn expression. Once the hall gradually quieted down,

he took a deep breath and announced loudly, “Tribesmen! I have gathered you here today to announce a matter of great importance concerning the survival of our tribe. I have just returned from outside, and there, I witnessed a power far beyond imagination. They possess countless terrifyingly powerful warriors, and their strength is something we simply cannot contend with.”

Goro's voice trembled slightly, as he recalled the magnificent battle between the Bug Clan Family and the Ironblood Bugman, and the scenes he witnessed at the Geocentric Base, still feeling lingering fear.

“I foresee that the Geocentric World is about to usher in a great change unseen in ten thousand years. In such a situation, if we wish to continue to survive, there is only one path to take: to go to the Geocentric Base and pledge allegiance to that great Dominator! Now, I want to hear your thoughts. Who agrees, and who opposes?”

As soon as his voice fell, the hall instantly erupted.

The Lizardmen spoke one after another, discussing animatedly.

A young and spirited Five-Cornered Lizardman noble suddenly stood up, his face flushed red, and loudly declared, “Leader, what are you saying?! We Lizardmen have been rooted in these Northern Mountains for a long time, and we have always been independent. How can we easily bow down to others and pledge allegiance? Isn't this throwing away all our dignity?!”

His words were echoed by some, and several Lizardmen stood up, waving their arms, expressing their dissatisfaction emotionally.

At this moment, a steady seven-horned Lizardman slowly rose, frowning as he said, “Goro, allegiance is no small matter. We know nothing about this so-called Dominator. How can we blindly lead the entire tribe to seek refuge with him? What if this is a trap? Wouldn't we be walking straight into it?”

The atmosphere in the hall grew increasingly tense, with voices of support and opposition intertwined, and arguments rising and falling.

Goro's eyes instantly turned fierce. Without another word, he “swish”ed out the long knife at his waist, crafted from special Ore.

The blade gleamed with a cold light, exceptionally dazzling in the dim hall. Before anyone could react, he lunged towards the Five-Cornered Lizardman who had just led the opposition.

The Lizardman's eyes widened, but before he could make any reaction, Goro's long knife had already plunged fiercely into his chest.

With a “thud,” blood splattered around, and the Five-Cornered Lizardman's body slowly fell. The hall instantly became silent.

Goro held the long knife, blood dripping continuously along the blade. He roared loudly, “All of you, be quiet! Now is not the time for you to act on impulse! Look outside, those powerful beings are not something we can contend with. If we don't choose to pledge allegiance, our entire tribe will face extinction! This is our only chance at survival. If anyone opposes again, this will be their fate!”

His voice echoed through the hall, filled with unquestionable authority.

Everyone was terrified by Goro's actions, their faces pale, and many trembled slightly. After a long while, an elderly and highly respected seven-horned Lizardman slowly stood up.

He looked calmly at the surrounding tribesmen, then at Goro, and slowly said, “Goro is right, we truly have no other choice now. Rather than dying in vain, it's better to seek refuge with that Dominator. Perhaps we can still secure a path to survival for our tribe. I agree to pledge allegiance.”

Led by him, some of the originally hesitant Lizardmen also nodded in agreement, expressing their consent.

“I also agree.”

“That's right, we can't joke with the lives of the entire tribe.”

More and more voices rose, and the opposing voices gradually faded.

Goro looked at everyone, slightly relieved, and said, “Good, since everyone agrees, then immediately start packing your belongings and prepare to join the Geocentric Base. We have no time to delay!”

Afterward, he arranged for his subordinates to notify the ordinary Lizardmen in the outer areas, informing them that the tribe was about to migrate.

The Lizardmen responsible for the notification rode small mounts similar to raptors, moving through various areas of the tribe.

They shouted at the top of their lungs, “Listen up, everyone! The tribe is migrating! Hurry and pack your things and follow the main group!”

Upon hearing the news, the ordinary Lizardmen, though looking bewildered, saw the Elite Lizardmen busily packing and dared not ask too many questions. They all followed instructions, bringing their few simple clothes, some crude tools, and a small amount of food, preparing to embark on an unknown journey.

The entire tribe was enveloped in a flurry of activity.

Some strong Lizardmen were responsible for carrying heavy supplies. They used their thick arms to hoist huge wooden crates, filled with precious Ore, weapons, and daily necessities.

These wooden crates were the wealth they had accumulated over many years, and now they had to take them along to their new Dominator. They knew the importance of these supplies for their future lives.

And those Lizardmen skilled in making tools and weapons were busily packing up their crafting tools and unfinished weapons.

Their movements were skilled, and their eyes revealed reluctance, but even more so, anticipation for the future.

They understood that in a new place, these skills might come in handy, helping them establish themselves in the new environment.

The female Lizardmen were packing clothes and food. They carefully folded simple clothes and placed them into bundles made of animal hides.

The children watched curiously as the adults busied themselves. Although they didn't understand what was happening, they were infected by the tense atmosphere and quietly stayed to the side.

Goro paced back and forth in the castle, directing various tasks. He constantly reminded the Lizardmen responsible for transportation to be careful and not to damage the supplies.

At the same time, he also arranged for some Elite Lizardmen to patrol around the tribe to prevent encountering dangers during the migration.
