Chapter 255: completely annihilated

The Iron-Blood World was in a complete frenzy.

Woo!

Woo!

Woo—!

The piercing, Soul-shattering war horns were no longer a monotonous sound, but a symphony of death erupting simultaneously from thousands of Bug Nests, strongholds, and fortresses.

It instantly tore through the eternal crimson sky of the Iron-Blood World.

Buzz!

Buzz!

Buzz! Buzz!

In the core plaza of the main base, twelve gigantic bio-alloy teleportation arrays awakened like slumbering behemoths.

The ethereal blue energy pillars no longer activated gently, but surged skyward like a violent energy tsunami.

Inside the light pillars, high-energy particle streams collided furiously, emitting a teeth-grinding "sizzling" shriek, painting half the sky with a strange, constantly twisting blue light curtain.

The earth groaned.

The black torrent of twelve-stage Army Ants no longer simply surged; instead, they were whipped by an invisible giant whip, crushing over the alloy ground with heart-stopping precision.

The "clack-clack" sound of billions of carapaces colliding merged into a death march, like a millstone of death, powerful enough to shatter rocks.

Their arrays of crimson compound eyes gleamed with cold light, and the high-frequency vibrating alloy mandibles in their mouthparts emitted a low hum.

Shadows twisted, and elite Mingling Devil troops seeped out of the Void Realm like deadly ink.

There were no footsteps, only the "hissing" sound of liquid metal blades flowing under the ethereal blue light, like a venomous snake flicking its tongue.

Their aura was bone-chillingly cold, and thousands of compound eyes glowed with crimson points in the shadows, like stars of Hell, locking onto the direction of the teleportation array.

Lizardmen Warriors roared, and Yi Serpent Person warriors, like agile black lightning, darted through the gaps in the ranks, their scales scraping the ground, leaving slippery trails and a pungent, fishy odor.

The Mud Swamp Frog-man Priest beat war drums made of human skin and monster bones; the dull "thump! thump! thump!" of the drums carried primitive wildness and the power of curses, striking deep into every warrior's Soul like a war hammer.

"For the Dominator! For Contribution Points! Kill! Kill! Kill!"

Not only the Bug Clan Family, but all the subservient races of the Iron-Blood World went completely insane.

The Free People market was instantly emptied, and countless naturalized Ironblood Bugmen, mixed-race laborers, and even tamed behemoths, their eyes bloodshot, surged towards the temporary conscription points.

The allure of Contribution Points was a spark, but a deeper, genetically imprinted fanaticism—to fight for the Dominator, bathe in enemy blood, and trample other worlds—was the hurricane that ignited their Souls.

"Tear those scumbags to shreds!"

"Trash from another world! Taste grandpa's chainsaw blade!"

"Charge! Pave the way with their bones!"

The base transformed into a furnace.

The air was no longer gas, but a solidified, furious storm, mixed with the ozone smell of high-energy lubricant evaporation, the acrid smell of burning biomass, the sweet, fishy-smell of adrenaline surging from billions of life forms, and pure, almost tangible murderous intent.

The murderous aura distorted and refracted even the light.

......

Mariana Trench · Light Tunnel Battlefield

Time lost its meaning here, leaving only viscous blood plasma, shattered carapaces, and eternal darkness.

The remaining four hundred and thirty-seven He Bo Insects, like crippled soldiers with their claws pulled and carapaces crushed, were firmly pinned to a relatively raised basalt platform in front of the light tunnel.

Their dark blue carapaces were covered in spiderweb-like cracks, and what seeped out was no longer blue blood, but a dark purple, viscous substance mixed with tissue fluid and organ fragments.

Most of their scythe-shaped forelimbs were only half-stumps, or were encased in foul, dark red corrosive mucus, emitting a soft "sizzling" sound.

Half of their compound eye arrays were extinguished, and the remaining red light flickered unsteadily, like a candle in the wind.

Around the light tunnel, there was no longer a seabed, but a putrid swamp of death, a mixture of dark blue carapace fragments, dark red foul blood, shattered organs, charred monster limbs, and rock debris repeatedly pulverized into dust.

Of the three River Earl Bug Thousand-Chiefs, one was cut in half at the waist, its upper body being gnawed by a monster resembling a giant multi-legged Centipede;

One had its core compound eye pierced, its massive body impaled and twitching on the rock wall by several thick, strong-acid-dripping monster tentacles;

The sole remaining Qian Chang had its skull, covered by a thick head carapace, smashed open, revealing the biological tissue inside; one leg was bitten off at the root, and it clung to a rock crevice with its tail muscles, directing the last of its remnants.

They were besieged by fifteen equally scarred but even more ferocious otherworldly beasts.

They varied in form, but their eyes all gleamed with the same cruelty and greed.

The battle had long since devolved into the most primitive, bloodiest close-quarters combat.

Every collision was accompanied by a heart-pounding physical feedback:

Rip!

One He Bo Insect attempted to block a giant pincer brought down by a monster resembling a giant scorpion with its remaining half scythe-like forelimb; the scythe was instantly bent and flung away by the immense force, and the pincer, its momentum unchecked, slammed hard onto the He Bo Insect's side abdominal carapace.

The tough chitinous carapace emitted a strained "crunch" as it instantly caved inward and shattered.

Dark blue blood mixed with shattered organ fragments gushed out from the cracks.

Puff!

Puff puff!

A monster resembling an aggregate of shadows transformed into a blurry afterimage, instantly closing in on another He Bo Insect; two energy blades, tipped with an ethereal green poisonous glow, silently pierced into the gaps of its compound eye array and the joint of its neck carapace!

The blades met resistance as the carapace was forcefully pierced, followed by the dull sound of muscle tissue being torn.

The He Bo Insect trembled violently, its compound eyes instantly extinguishing.

Sizzle!

A monster floating in mid-air, like a giant jellyfish, swooped down, spraying a thin but still deadly stream of acid onto the He Bo Insect cluster below.

The acid splashed onto the He Bo Insect carapaces, emitting a violent "sizzling" corrosive sound, rising with dense white smoke and a pungent odor; the carapaces visibly blackened, softened, and dissolved at a rapid pace.

Crunch!

The twelve-stage River Earl Bug Qian Chang used its remaining tail bone spur to firmly hook the damaged membrane wing of a flying Dragon, a hybrid of a bat and an insect, that lunged at it; the immense force caused the flying Dragon to lose its balance.

Several other He Bo Insects seized the opportunity to pounce, biting firmly onto the flying Dragon's relatively vulnerable neck joint with their mouthparts; the high-frequency vibrating alloy mandibles cut furiously, emitting a teeth-grinding sound of metal friction and bone shattering.

Green, viscous blood gushed out.

When the last He Bo Insect, guarding the Qian Chang's flank, was brutally crushed under the bone-studded heavy hoof of a monster covered in bone plates, resembling a heavy tank.

Accompanied by the muffled sound of carapace bursting and the splashing of bodily fluids, the battlefield fell into a brief, suffocating silence.

Only the mournful sound of seawater slowly flowing and the heavy, broken-bellows-like breathing of the monsters remained.
