Chapter 98 (Ninety-eight) Flying Needles
The assassin had never expected his opponent to be so skilled in martial arts, and said angrily, "Just kill me!"
"Who ordered you to assassinate me?" Yin Ruchen asked.
"Kill me if you want to! Stop talking nonsense!" The assassin looked fearless.
"What if I don't kill you? Will you tell me the answer I want?" Yin Ruchen probed.
"What if you don't kill me? I will still die!" A strong sense of helplessness and sadness flashed across the assassin's eyes, causing Yin Ruchen to feel a little reluctant.
"That's not necessarily true. Tell me, things may turn around." Yin Ruchen said.
"Don't give me that. If I tell you, I will no longer be valuable to you. Will you still not kill me?"
"I won't kill you. Can you tell me that?"
"Do you think I could tell you? If I could, I wouldn't be in this business."
"Well, then, I'll make it public and let others investigate you!" Yin Ruchen was just trying to test his reaction, but he didn't expect that after hearing this, he couldn't help but reveal a hint of pride as if he saw hope, as if he was waiting for Yin Ruchen to make it public immediately.
"Whatever!" the assassin said easily, and then as if he suddenly realized something, he immediately restrained the smug look that had accidentally revealed, as if to prevent Yin Ruchen from noticing any clues.
Now Yin Ruchen was even more certain that she could not make the matter public at this moment. She could neither detain him here nor kill him. She could only let him go.
So Yin Ruchen let the assassin go, returned his sword to him, and said, "Take your sword and go!"
"You're just letting me go and not handing me over to the palace for investigation? Don't regret it!" the assassin said. Yin Ruchen saw that he was obviously saying this to provoke her to speak out. "No regrets." Yin Ruchen said simply.
The assassin took the sword and turned away.
Just as he was about to reach the door, he suddenly fired seven flying needles, which flew towards Yin Ruchen at the same time, catching her off guard.
Yin Ruchen immediately flew into the air and dodged repeatedly, while using his sword to knock some of the flying needles to the ground. In the end, two flying needles were inserted directly into the wall, and the wall around the flying needles turned into a stone blue color!
The assassin disappeared after firing seven flying needles.
Yin Ruchen told Zhao Lin and Yun Keyu the above process in detail, and then took them to see the two flying needles inserted in the wall. The wall around the flying needles was still stone blue.
Yin Ruchen continued, "We still don't know what kind of poison this is and why it turns this color when it hits the wall."
"What a vicious assassin! Sister Yin, you spared his life and returned the sword to him, but he actually used a poisoned hidden weapon to attack you. He is so inhumane!" Yun Keyu said angrily.
"He used all means to take my life. He first used direct attack, then used hidden weapons when that didn't work. Even if the hidden weapons still didn't kill me, he had already left arsenic in the pot." Yin Ruchen's tone was still calm. It can be seen that the experience of encountering the assassin at night did not affect her usual calmness. Even when she talked about these experiences again, she didn't feel much in her heart.
But Yun Keyou was already angry and nervous after hearing this. She asked Yin Ruchen worriedly, "Sister Yin, you are not hurt at all, right?"
"Don't worry, I'm not hurt at all, don't worry!" Yin Ruchen said to Yun Keyu.
