Chapter 2: I am here to rebel!

All the civil and military officials were dumbfounded.

He… didn't die?

The minister closest to Zhu Zi subconsciously looked at the pillar Li Che had just crashed into.

On the pillar, there was a clearly visible indentation, still stained with specks of blood.

That force… he didn't die?

The imperial physician who had just examined Li Che's condition instantly collapsed onto the ground in fear.

He could feel the Qing Emperor's chilling gaze on him, as if looking at a dead man.

Sixth Prince had come back to life, but his own nine generations were probably going to be wiped out!

Li Che gripped the imperial edict in his hand, unable to suppress the excitement in his heart.

He had originally intended to lie on the ground and play dead, but after hearing that Ninggu County was Outside the Pass, he simply couldn't hold back.

Outside the Pass, the three northeastern provinces, that was a treasure land!

Most importantly, he was familiar with that place!

As a mineral explorer, Li Che knew every mineral deposit in that area by heart.

The original owner of this body had no foundation in the imperial court and was forced to the point of crashing his head to commit suicide.

Staying in the capital would be a dead end sooner or later; it would be better to run to the Northeast and develop stealthily.

"Che'er, are you unwell?"

The Qing Emperor's light voice sounded.

Only then did Li Che snap out of his excitement, raising his head to look at the emperor at the very front of the main hall.

Just one glance, and Li Che felt a moment of trance.

One could only say, he truly lived up to his reputation as the founding emperor; his aura and oppressive presence were overwhelming.

Around forty years old, with a resolute face and slightly furrowed brows.

His eyes were deep and sharp, radiating authority without needing to express anger; a mere glance was enough to make one feel his undeniable power.

"Your son still feels a bit dizzy," Li Che said, covering his head.

"Go to the Imperial Physician's Office and have an imperial physician examine you, then come to Yangxin Hall to see Us," the Qing Emperor's tone was undeniable.

"Your son obeys the decree."

Li Che tucked the imperial edict into his embrace, turned, and walked out of the hall.

Hearing the Qing Emperor's command, the imperial physician who was lying on the ground immediately stood up, supported Li Che, and walked outside, hoping to use this opportunity to slip away unnoticed.

Li Che didn't plan to expose him; being an imperial physician wasn't easy, and besides, the man wasn't really misdiagnosing.

Unexpectedly, the next second he heard the Qing Emperor coldly say, "Quack, for failing to provide proper care, what is your crime?"

Li Che felt the hand supporting him tremble violently, and then heard a 'thud'.

Looking again, the imperial physician had already slid onto the ground in a kneeling position: "Your Majesty, spare my life, Your Majesty, spare my life!"

The Qing Emperor glanced at him: "Execute him, confiscate his family's property, and exile his entire family to Ninggu County."

Li Che: ???

No, are we not even pretending anymore? Is this how you demonstrate the correct usage of Ninggu County?

Watching the collapsed imperial physician being dragged away by two armored guards, Li Che seemed to understand the Qing Emperor's intention.

This matter… wasn't over yet.

The Qing Emperor hadn't acted against him yet because he had already enfeoffed him as a prince in front of all the officials.

A monarch's word is law; no matter how much power he wielded, he couldn't publicly go back on his word.

However, the matter of the witchcraft hadn't been clarified yet, and the killing intent was still to come!

Thinking of this, the excitement in Li Che's heart was replaced by a sense of crisis, and he quickened his steps to leave.

The surrounding ministers all avoided him, as if dodging a plague god.

.......

The imperial physicians in the Imperial Physician's Office examined him and, after confirming that Li Che was fine, released him.

Li Che followed the original owner's memories and arrived outside Yangxin Hall in the imperial city.

After the imperial guards reported, Huang Jin quickly walked out, looking at Li Che expressionlessly.

"Sixth Prince, His Majesty summons you."

Li Che didn't even glance at this old eunuch, walking straight into the hall with his eyes fixed forward.

This old scoundrel was not a good person; he was one of the culprits behind the original owner's demise.

Yangxin Hall was where the Qing Emperor handled state affairs; its decor was not luxurious, even somewhat plain.

The Qing Emperor's reign was not characterized by extravagance; on the contrary, he strongly advocated diligence and frugality, even cutting the salaries of his ministers to the extreme.

As soon as he entered the main hall, Li Che felt a highly intimidating gaze shoot directly towards him.

In the center of the main hall, behind the desk, the Qing Emperor meticulously scrutinized his sixth son with an aggressive gaze.

"Your son pays respects to Imperial Father," Li Che stepped forward and bowed.

The Qing Emperor did not speak, merely looking at Li Che quietly.

Li Che also met his gaze calmly.

The Qing Emperor felt a sense of surprise when he saw that Li Che no longer avoided his gaze.

He suddenly felt that the Li Che before him was somewhat unfamiliar, so unfamiliar that he himself couldn't quite see through him.

After an unknown period, when Li Che felt his arm beginning to ache slightly, the Qing Emperor said indifferently:

"Li Che, do you know your mistake?"

"Your son does not know," Li Che took the opportunity to lower his aching arm.

The Qing Emperor narrowed his eyes at him: "Then do you know why We called you here?"

"Your son also does not know," a hint of determination flashed in Li Che's eyes, "But your son has come here to rebel!"

The Qing Emperor's pupils constricted sharply, and for the first time, an expression of shock appeared on his usually calm face.

"What did you say?"

"Your son said," Li Che cupped his hands again and repeated loudly, "Your son has come here to rebel against Your Majesty!"
