At this moment, in the Western Paradise.
The Tathagata Buddha sat upright on his lotus platform, but he had no intention of preaching. His gaze was fixed on the world below.
Recently, he had been feeling uneasy, with a sense of foreboding. Moreover, he often felt his right eyelid twitching.
“Left eye jumps for wealth, right eye jumps for disaster. This is bad, is something going to happen?”
A dignified Tathagata Buddha had been forced into becoming a superstitious old man. It was truly a pathetic sight.
“Venerable Ananda, why hasn’t Bodhisattva Guanyin returned yet?” The Tathagata Buddha couldn't help but ask nervously.
Venerable Ananda was momentarily stunned. You're asking me? Who am I supposed to ask?
However, Venerable Ananda could only offer flattery, saying, “The Bodhisattva possesses great supernatural powers and is revered by thousands in our Western Church. The Bodhisattva will surely complete the Buddha's task smoothly. Please rest assured, Buddha.”
Upon hearing this, the Tathagata Buddha could only temporarily suppress the anxiety in his heart.
Indeed, in the Three Realms, no one currently dared to challenge the Western Heavens. Moreover, the Journey to the West was a plan jointly decided by the Western Heavens and the Heavenly Court.
An agreement made by two super powers should not be disrupted by anyone, right?
Even the Styx River should not have the audacity to offend both of these great powers at the same time. Otherwise, even the Styx River would be inviting disaster upon itself, unable to escape.
The Tathagata Buddha had just breathed a sigh of relief and adjusted his mood.
However, the next second, he heard Bodhisattva Guanyin's urgent voice from outside:
“Buddha, something terrible has happened! Something is terribly wrong!”
In an instant, the Tathagata Buddha's heart sank. It was over. Bodhisattva Guanyin was here to deliver bad news again!
All the Arhats and Bodhisattvas present also looked nervous. If Bodhisattva Guanyin was so flustered, the matter must be serious!
Sure enough, when Bodhisattva Guanyin arrived in the hall, before the Tathagata could even ask, Bodhisattva Guanyin shouted directly:
“Buddha, the Journey to the West has gone terribly wrong! The intended mother of Jin Chanzi has been… slept with by the Prison God! Now the Prison God is Jin Chanzi’s father!”
Bodhisattva Guanyin's words were like a bomb dropped into a lake, instantly causing an uproar!
“Damn, is it that exciting? The Prison God Chu Hao slept with the intended mother of Jin Chanzi? What's going to happen in the future?!”
“However… I am more concerned about why such a big thing was not foreseen by the Buddha, nor even by our two Saints? Or is this secretly decided by the great powers?”
In this Thunderclap Temple of the Western Paradise.
Everyone whispered, feeling incredulous.
After all, what in the world could escape the calculations of the Saints and the Buddha?
Moreover, the Saints attach great importance to this Journey to the West. How could they simply let Chu Hao marry that Yin Wenjiao and consummate the marriage?
However, when everyone looked at the Tathagata sitting on the Nine-Rank Golden Lotus, his face was ashen, so gloomy that it almost dripped water.
“Damn Prison God, you are going too far! Too far!!”
“Daring to wreak havoc in the world, this is the crime of rebellion, utter defiance! Even the Jade Emperor cannot protect you today!”
The Tathagata Buddha was truly angry this time.
The Journey to the West was his untouchable territory, its importance surpassing even his own life!
In fact, he valued this Journey to the West even more than the Saints.
Because that Jin Chanzi was originally the Tathagata Buddha's second disciple. If the Journey to the West could succeed, the Tathagata Buddha would receive a full share of the great merit!
Although the Tathagata Buddha is by no means the strongest Buddha in the Western world.
There are actually quite a few stronger than him, such as the Future Buddha, Lapis Lazuli Radiance Buddha, the Past Buddha, Dipankara Buddha, and even Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha are stronger than the Tathagata Buddha.
However, the Tathagata Buddha was appointed by the Saints as the person in charge of this Journey to the West, which gave him the opportunity to make his second disciple, Jin Chanzi, the most important figure in the Journey to the West.
The secrets within are not to be told to outsiders.
The Tathagata Buddha was also wholeheartedly trying to complete this Journey to the West, as it was crucial to whether he could become a Saint in the future!
Great merit holds endless temptation for Quasi-Saints.
So now, hearing that Chu Hao had changed the great cause and effect of the Journey to the West, and that his second disciple, Jin Chanzi, would probably have to call Chu Hao 'Dad,' how could the Tathagata Buddha not be angry?
“Great Bodhisattva Guanyin, what exactly happened? Speak quickly?!”
The Tathagata Buddha originally intended to calculate what Chu Hao had done in the past, but Chu Hao was an anomaly, and he could not accurately calculate it, so he had to ask the Great Bodhisattva Guanyin.
The Great Bodhisattva Guanyin said nervously, “Reporting to the Buddha, I was originally ordered to go down to prevent the Prison God from eating the Hongjiang Dragon King, but it was too late. The Hongjiang Dragon King was beheaded on the spot.”
“What? Even the Hongjiang Dragon King is dead? What exactly happened?” Only then did the Tathagata Buddha realize that there was such a thing.
The Great Bodhisattva Guanyin said with a bitter face:
“When I arrived, I saw the Hongjiang Dragon King on the chopping board. I used my magic power to stop the fisherman from killing the fish, but the little girl beside Chu Hao was highly skilled and entangled with me.”
“And the fisherman, seeing that the little girl was too cute, completely rejected the threats I made and the gold and silver treasures Chen Guangrui offered, claiming 'But she is too cute,' and beheaded the Hongjiang Dragon King! The Hongjiang Dragon King died.”
“And I also learned from Chen Guangrui that Yin Wenjiao was about to throw her embroidered ball to Chen Guangrui, but then she saw the Prison God passing by. Yin Wenjiao took a fancy to him at first sight, saying 'I would rather be a concubine of a celestial lord than a wife of a top scholar,' and threw the embroidered ball at Chu Hao.”
“I rushed back to the Yin family, wanting to stop them from getting married, but I was enveloped by a terrifying demonic energy that came from an unknown source, unable to move or escape. By the time I broke free, it was too late.”
When everyone in the hall heard the Great Bodhisattva Guanyin completely recount this dramatic plot, which was so bizarre that it was unbelievable, everyone's faces looked extremely strange for a moment.
The Fourth Buddha of the past, Fearful Leaving Sun Buddha, opened his eyes and asked with a frown:
“So… the Prison God siblings disrupted the heavenly secrets with their looks?”
The Great Bodhisattva Guanyin was stunned and could only lower her head,
“Yes, although it is unbelievable, these two siblings are indeed somewhat outrageously good-looking.”
The Buddhas present were in an uproar.
Damn, I've never seen such a plot before!
Disrupting the heavenly secrets with looks, there has never been such a thing since ancient times. This is too outrageous, right?
The Great Bodhisattva Guanyin looked intently at the Tathagata Buddha and said:
“Buddha, there is something strange in this. During that time, the demonic energy I felt was not ordinary demonic energy. It was that demonic energy that hindered me, otherwise the Prison God would not have been able to complete the marriage. Please, Buddha, issue an order to question the Heavenly Court for sheltering demons!”
