Chapter 100: 24 Ancient Sanctuary

Chapter 99:24. Ancient Saint's Sanctuary

In between retching, Alyssa took a deep breath of the strange, decayed smell of the observatory. Then she retched even more violently, and it took her a while to recover.

Daxus picked up the Spring Fruit Egg that had rolled aside and handed it to Alyssa. He didn't ask Alyssa what was wrong. If Alyssa wanted to, she would tell her herself.

"I just saw this glyph, and my soul actually floated up uncontrollably." After Alyssa calmed down, she avoided the glyph and pointed in the direction of the glyph.

"Chupakoko, do you know what's going on?" asked Daquus.

"I don't understand. The carvings depict the ancient saint, the wind god, Typok. Maybe it's because of this spring fruit egg? I can sense the strong magical aura of this egg."

Chupakoko looked at the glyph and the spring fruit egg with a puzzled look on his face, not knowing what was going on.

Without dwelling on this topic any further, after Alyssa recovered, the team began to return along the stairs and walk through the maze.

He walked slowly when going up, but quickly when going down. When passing by the secret room, Daxus took a look and found that everything inside had been emptied.

The further Daxus went down, the closer that feeling became.

"It seems to be underground."

I didn't go downstairs directly because it was almost evening and eating was important.

The Duruchis who came out of the pyramid breathed in the fresh air in big gulps. Looking at the afterglow of the setting sun shining on the resentful blood statue, which shone with golden light, the Duruchis all showed expressions of surprise and greed.

"Stop looking and prepare to eat and rest!" Daquus said as he walked down the stairs, snapped his fingers, and continued, "We'll have it when we return to Clarkalond."

After dinner, Dacus chose not to continue his tomb raiding. He wasn't really there to rob tombs, so why would he go down there in the middle of the night? Although the previous attempt to retrieve the Soul Dagger had been at night, how could he call in the affairs of the powerful...

Nothing happened overnight.

At the same time the next day, Fa Qiu's team entered the pyramid from the same entrance and did not let the lizard people in. The Druzy and the spirit lizards began to check the walls in the corridor repeatedly, but they found nothing after a whole morning.

At noon, while having lunch in the square, Dacus called all the Skink Priests and Prophets.

"Are there any underground passages in this pyramid?"

Several Skin Lizards looked at each other in confusion. A Skin Lizard Priest stationed here kept turning his head, as if thinking, and said after a moment.

"There's a collapsed chamber behind the pyramid."

"Where is the hatching pool?"

"Under the Lizardmen barracks, just behind the collapsed room."

After making a big circle around the pyramid and entering the collapsed room at the back, Daquus had an indescribable feeling when he looked at the turbid and rotten water in the hatching pool.

"This is really beyond the scope."

Dacreus stood by the pool, holding his nose and looking at the group of Skink Priests and Prophets. The Skink Priests avoided his gaze and looked around.

Skink Prophet Arkadan looked at the water, then back at Darkus. He knew why the incubation pool had become what it was, and he also knew that this strange warm-blooded creature before him seemed to be searching for something very important, something more important than the Vicious Blood Image.

"For the big plan!" Yakadan shouted at the top of his lungs, then jumped into the incubation pool.

"It suddenly became strange. When you thought he was unreliable, he suddenly became reliable. This is also a kind of unreliability."

The Skin Priest on guard seemed to be infected by the atmosphere and wanted to dance too. Just as he was about to jump, Chupakoko cleverly grabbed him. The Skin Priests nearby also reacted and grabbed him. The scene suddenly became ridiculous and chaotic.

"You are not an oracle, and you cannot resist the evil corruption in the pool water."

While the commotion was raging above, Arkadan had already swum beneath the murky, fetid hatching pool. His scales shimmered with a blue glow, as if protecting him from the evil forces within. The hatching pool was deeper than he'd imagined, and the visibility at the bottom was a challenge for his underwater vision. He carefully and repeatedly checked every spot, making sure nothing was missed.

"Bottom right." Mazdamuddi's voice suddenly came into Akkadan's mind.

Yakadan followed the instructions and swam to a water cave. After entering the cave, he continued to swim upstream. After a while, he finally saw the surface of the water. When his head emerged from the water, a huge stone wall appeared before him.

“There really is something!”

Akadan walked to the ground and shook off the water stains on his body, his eyes shining blue again.

The stone walls, carved with hieroglyphs of ancient saints, evoked a mysterious power. They were too heavy to be lifted by sheer force. They were too thick to be breached even with a battering ram. It felt like a dead end.

Arkadan paused before the stone wall. The weight, thickness, or magic within it didn't bother him. He, or rather Mazdamundi, concentrated his magic, observing the entire stone wall. The real world faded, and he entered the realm of magic. He could see magic flowing through the wall, and it suddenly flowed around him. Powerful magic surged through his fingers, and the next moment, they touched a magical node in the stone wall.

The stone wall slowly opened, and Akkadan and Mazdamundi were surprised by the passage that appeared before them, because the style of the passage was extremely strange, completely different from what they had seen in other temple ruins before.

The next second, Mazdamudi suddenly appeared in front of Dacus in a carriage and nodded to him.

The Druchis following Dacus were no longer surprised by this.

The next second, Mazdamudi and Darkus appeared in the mysterious corridor.

"Is this the Sanctuary of the Ancient Saints?" Daquus suddenly thought he had traveled through space again. Looking at the carvings of the Ancient Saint Shapati on the polished wall, he reacted.

Mazdamuddi shook his head slowly.

Dacus jumped up and sat on the edge of the sedan chair, looking at the polished wall, which was full of stories about the ancient saint Shapati that he had read in the past two days.

Mazdamudin began to maneuver the carriage forward slowly. The dome of the aisle was very high, so there was no need to worry about the top of the carriage hitting anything.

Yakadan followed behind Chengyu and looked at him enviously, although he could only see Chengyu's back.

"This should have been built when the Ancient Saints descended? Is there any in Hesiota?"

"Should there be?" Mazdamudi replied hesitantly. He was also a little uncertain. He cast a light spell and a ball of light condensed above Daxus's head. After condensing into shape, it flew straight to the front of the aisle.

"Shouldn't there be any? Otherwise, why would the things of the ancient holy sun god Kotego be here?"

After a moment, Dacus pointed to the Eternal Light Hengtian Instrument in the hall of the sanctuary and said.
