Chapter 77.3. Dacus's Grand Plan
The two sides didn't say hello and just passed each other.
Darkus looked at Dastan Lengyan, recalling when Locksia came to Indy to obtain the red double swords. If he remembered correctly, it should be 70 years later?
"There's still time, isn't there?" Darkius thought with amusement. If the magic crystal ball weren't so short-range, he'd have wanted to contact his father and uncle to look for that Gilgadresh Bloodsteel Statue, since they were hanging around Indy. He thought of the Kraken helmet again, and he was almost impatient. But he wasn't crazy enough to send people down to the sea to fish it out. Why bother fighting those aquatic monsters? Just looking for excitement? Wouldn't it be better to use his might to chop Chapeyuto up, then attack him?
Chapeiuto was a crucial element in Dacuus's grand plan, for Lustria wasn't entirely made up of rainforests, but also deserts, mountains, and plains. Chapeiuto was located on the Kaochen Plain, south of Lustria. The Kaochen Plain was the final destination of his journey, assuming all went well. He wanted to assess the Kaochen Plain's suitability for Duruchi habitation and reclamation. He wanted to make it his own private garden. Since he was already here, he had to practice his traditional farming methods, right?
If possible, Chapeiuto must rise from the sea to serve as his port. If Daquus remembered correctly, Chapeiuto was also an important part of the Great Spiritual Network, connecting it to the Southern Rainforest of the Old World. The Slann of Lustria could communicate with the Slann in the Southern Rainforest on the other side of the ocean through Chapeiuto.
However, the premise of all this is that Darkus must communicate well with Lord Mazdamundi and gain the recognition of the Slann, and he is indeed an important part of the big plan.
The Herald of Despair continued to sail in the underground sea, and soon it met up with the plundering fleet and began to change course to enter the Lustria Channel heading south.
Dacus's life remained unchanged: practicing martial arts, reading books, writing travel guides and precautions, and occasionally cooking something to eat.
While eating, Daquus chatted with Chupakoko. He wanted to understand some issues, such as Cadavro and the Norse Yankees who were entrenched in Skoggi.
Chupacoco sat cross-legged on the ground, chewing on the barbecue in his hand, thought for a while and said, "Kadavo? I remember him, a greedy, arrogant and fanatical vampire." He continued to chew the barbecue, swallowed it and laughed, "But Pichipochi, Tiktat, and I brought the army to hang him on the obsidian pillar." As he spoke, he looked at Daquus with a face that asked for a beating. Daquus could directly see this expression on his lizard face.
"'Lord of the Heavens' Tiktatl? The greatest pterosaur rider of all time?"
"King of the Heavens? Who gave him that name?" Chupakoko raised his head and said indignantly. He had finished the barbecue in his hand. After saying this, he said nothing more. He stared at Daquus and began to rub the oil on his hand onto Kaitan on his body.
Darkus was speechless. It turned out even the Lizardmen were fighting. He'd assumed they were just intelligent robots serving a grand plan. He wanted to bash Chupakoko's head with the barbecue, but reluctantly pressed the bell on the dining table. A moment later, the waiter outside pushed in a food cart.
"Here, eat, eat as much as you can, and then go on to tell me about Cadavo."
"That arrogant and fanatical bloodblood landed in Pahkos three times. He wanted to find the obsidian pillars. As an ambassador, I tried to persuade him, but he wouldn't listen. So I had to destroy him."
Daxus would never admit that Chupakoko's annoying tone of voice was learned from him, but he also got a general idea of what happened during the conversation.
During the years 1930-40 IC, the adventurer Cadavo established landing points on at least three different coasts of Pahuacs, always naming them "Cadavo" after himself. His purpose was to cross the jungles of southern Hesiota in search of the Obsidian Pillars, a monument of great antiquity and magnitude, located approximately 804 kilometers inland.
Yet, while Skogi's Norscan Yankees learned how to avoid Lizardmen retaliation, Kadavor and his followers displayed only foolishness and a lack of caution. Whenever Kadavor and his followers landed and set up camp on the shores of Pahkos, Lord Mazdamundi would awaken from his slumber to ponder this matter. Each awakening was a source of irritation, like a triceratops' tail swatting at a vexed blood wasp. In his drowsiness, he acquiesced to Chupakoko and Pichipochi's requests to expel the invaders, ordered the landing site destroyed, and returned to his meditations.
Nevertheless, the last to land, Cadavo, with the help of an Amazonian native warrior, managed to reach the legendary obsidian pillars, proving the authenticity of the legend of gemstones embedded in the obsidian. Explorers turned plunderers, Cadavo filled their wagons with chests filled with wealth, but their greed made them linger too long.
Led by Chupakoko, Pichipochi, and Tiktato, the Lizardmen attacked before Kadavu's army could organize a defense. Though Kadavu and his men fought bravely to defend their treasure, they were ultimately slain, their bodies hung on either side of the obsidian pillar as a dire warning to those who attempted to destroy it.
Kadavor's greed and arrogance angered Lord Mazdamundi and awakened him from his slumber, making him determined to destroy Kadavor's Landing once and for all as a warning to all hot-bloods who dared to invade Lustria.
Lord Mazdamundi silently chanted the names of the Ancients, unleashing the power of tectonic plates, triggering a terrible earthquake and tsunami that reduced the landing site to shattered ruins. When the dust settled, the landing site was in ruins, with all the remaining defenders and sailors crushed to a bloody pulp, and the ships crossing the ocean were also overturned by the tsunami.
"Amazon natives? Don't tell me they're those Amazonian warriors. Aren't those from Greek mythology? And they're in Asia Minor. That's too stereotypical."
Daxus shook his head after hearing such boasting, and didn't know how to complain about it.
It seems that there are some deviations in Daxus's cognition and memory. Since he can't attack Kadavo, he can only settle for the next best thing and attack the town of Skogi.
Darkeus saw this as a good deal; he needed a welcome gift; it would be rude not to bring one on a first visit. The troops aboard the Black Ark's Despair Herald also needed some time to adjust, and Dastan Coldeye needed practical experience in commanding such a large group of Druki, didn't he? And Tyrion hadn't been able to find a guide to the jungle in Skogi after 250 years.
Daxus thought sinisterly, and suddenly smiled at Chupakoko. His smile was chilling, and Chupakoko, who was eating, also felt it and tilted his head to look at him.
