Chapter 25: When will we see it again?

Sunlight filtered through the thin morning mist onto the training ground.

Renye’s small figure knelt on the ground, his palms scorched black, bearing the marks of failed Fire Release Ninjutsu.

Gasping for breath, Renye’s Chakra was completely depleted.

He looked at the training ground, now a mess because of him, and felt utterly disheartened.

“This is too hard, I just can’t learn it…”

Just then, Senju Tobirama’s stern figure appeared on the training ground.

He quietly watched Renye, his gaze profound.

“You want to give up after encountering a little setback?” Senju Tobirama’s voice was cold, yet carried an undeniable authority. “Do you think becoming strong is an easy thing?”

Renye looked up at Tobirama, a complex light flickering in his eyes. “Uncle, I’m not planning to give up…”

Senju Tobirama slowly walked over and stopped in front of Renye.

“Ninjutsu is like your inner self. When you are consumed by the fear of failure and thoughts of giving up, it naturally cannot be used by you.”

He bent down slightly, looking at Renye’s scorched palms. “It’s not that you can’t learn it, but that you’re not firm enough, not focused enough.”

Renye gritted his teeth. “I’ll try harder.”

“Effort isn’t blind repetition, but learning from failures and constantly adjusting,” Senju Tobirama straightened up, his gaze distant. “Ninjutsu training is like climbing a peak; every step is arduous, but as long as you don’t give up, there will eventually be a moment when you reach the summit.”

Renye took a deep breath, slowly stood up, his fighting spirit soaring.

“I understand, Uncle.”

Just as he was about to gather Chakra again, Senju Tobirama’s voice came from behind him: “Time’s almost up, it’s time to go to school.”

Renye froze, then remembered he had to go to school.

For a moment, it felt like the sky had fallen.

After training for several hours, he still had to go to the miserable school. Who could bear that?

He looked at his scorched palms, then at the marked-up training ground, feeling a bit unwilling.

He had just started to get a feel for it and wanted to continue training in one go, but he had to stop.

Senju Tobirama seemed to read his mind and frowned slightly, saying, “Learning in school is equally important. Knowledge and practical ability are both indispensable.”

“Don’t think that Ninjutsu training is everything to becoming an excellent Ninja.”

Renye quickly replied, “I understand, Uncle, I’ll study hard!”

With that, he stretched his somewhat stiff body and walked towards the kitchen.

He needed to make breakfast and his lunch bento.

After exhausting his Chakra, he felt an intense hunger and needed to replenish food promptly to restore his Chakra.

After eating breakfast, Renye reluctantly went to school.

Ninja School, Class A.

The morning class was cultural studies, including but not limited to:

【Explain the geographical advantages and defensive characteristics of the Five Great Nations’ Ninja Villages (Konoha, Hidden Mist, Iwagakure, Kumogakure, Sunagakure).】

【Briefly describe the constituent elements of Chakra and how to improve the quality and control of Chakra through training.】

【Please list the principle of mutual suppression for three different elemental Chakras (Fire, Water, Earth, Lightning, Wind) and provide examples.】

For cultural studies, Renye did not study diligently as he had promised earlier; instead, he was sprawled on his desk, sound asleep.

The teacher lectured endlessly on Ninjutsu theory at the podium, but those words were like vague sounds from a distance, unable to penetrate Renye’s ears at all.

His breathing gradually steadied, and his body completely relaxed as he drifted into dreamland.

The whispers of classmates around him and the occasional rustle of turning pages did not wake him.

Getting up early to train today was simply too tiring; he really needed a good sleep.

Nara Hon’ya yawned boredly, noticed Renye was asleep, and also lay down on his desk.

It wasn't until the dismissal bell rang that Renye slowly woke up.

He looked around blankly, saw that only he and Nara Hon’ya, who was still sprawled on his desk, were left in the classroom, and then realized that school was over.

After sleeping all day, his physical fatigue had recovered.

Renye stood up, stretched, and after waking Nara Hon’ya, the two left school together.

“Renye-kun, it’s a good thing you woke me up in time, otherwise I would have overslept,” Nara Hon’ya said with lingering fear.

Last time, his parents found out the reason for his late return was that he overslept at school.

So, he was thoroughly beaten by his parents…

“No big deal,” Renye waved his hand indifferently.

Nara Hon’ya’s personality suited him well, so their relationship was quite good.

Just then, the two heard two familiar voices coming from the alley.

“Aren’t you quite the show-off, kid?”

“We finally cornered you!”

Renye’s expression was strange. “Are these two really cornering someone?”

He recognized the voices of Uchiha Rin and Uchiha Hiko.

“Renye-kun, who are they cornering?” Nara Hon’ya asked curiously.

The two of them were quite strong in class, in the upper-middle tier.

He wondered who had provoked them?

“It should be Hyuga Yushu,” Renye said uncertainly.

He had heard them discussing earlier about cornering the “Bi Wang” in an alley and beating him up…

“Hyuga Yushu?” Nara Hon’ya’s eyes gleamed. “This is going to be interesting.”

The two exchanged glances, understanding each other’s thoughts.

So, they quieted their footsteps and stealthily approached the corner.

They saw Uchiha Rin and Uchiha Hiko surrounding Hyuga Yushu.

Facing their encirclement, Hyuga Yushu showed no fear.

He launched the first attack, pushing his palm forward, and an invisible Chakra shockwave hit Uchiha Hiko’s chest.

The latter flew backward, crashed through a wine jar at the end of the alley, and fell unconscious.

With just one move, he knocked him out.

Of course, this was also because Uchiha Hiko was unprepared and took the full force of the blow.

Their combat experience was too weak; they hadn’t anticipated the opponent would suddenly make a move.

“Bastard, you ambushed him!”

Uchiha Rin roared in anger upon seeing her companion unconscious and launched her attack.

Hyuga Yushu’s expression remained unchanged. He lightly tapped the ground with his feet, his figure deftly dodging, while simultaneously curling his fingers into a palm, instantly unleashing an Eight Trigrams Palm.

Uchiha Rin reacted extremely quickly, sidestepping the attack, and swung her fist back, aiming directly for his face.

Hyuga Yushu’s pupils constricted slightly, the Byakugan patterns clearly appearing, and a light blue Chakra condensed in his palm, his hand attacks becoming faster and faster.

Uchiha Rin retreated steadily under this onslaught, eventually being struck by a Gentle Fist point on a sleeping spot and falling to the ground.

Before losing consciousness, only one thought remained in his mind: “How could this guy be so strong?!”

Renye and Nara Hon’ya stared with wide, shocked eyes. They hadn’t expected Hyuga Yushu to end the fight so decisively.

Just then, Hyuga Yushu slowly turned around and looked towards the alley entrance.

“How long are you two going to keep watching?”
