Chapter 103: The head of the Inuyama family

"Should I buy a ticket to leave this afternoon?"

"The sooner the better." Angers nodded, "I will be your backing, staying here with the Seven Deadly Sins and the brass jar to attract attention. Sleipnir is parked in the suburbs, and countless eyes are watching it. It would be much better for you to take a domestic flight. With Liu Heguang helping you, there won't be any accidents."

"Okay, I'll contact Liu Heguang and Old Tang." Lu Mingfei nodded.

"No need to rush too much, after all, we are still within China, so many people won't dare to make any big moves." Angers said.

"Understood."

Lu Mingfei left the room to find Old Tang. When Old Tang heard about such a good deal—food, lodging, and airfare all covered—he agreed without a second thought. As for blood tests and physical fitness assessments, Old Tang heard it and then dismissed it from his mind.

According to his brother, this kind of thing depends on fate.

Old Tang was very confident about this, after all, only people with good fate have good luck.

He walked to Liu Tongchen's hospital room door.

Lu Mingfei couldn't help but feel emotional, relieved that the military flag wasn't used, and thus the fifteen strokes to the thigh were merely hypothetical. Otherwise, if Liu Heguang had lost so much face because of him, he would have felt terrible.

After hearing Lu Mingfei's request, Liu Heguang, who was sitting by Liu Tongchen's bedside, nodded and agreed, "It's nothing difficult, I'll arrange for someone to do it right now. Don't worry about the military flag incident, it's just 15 strokes to the thigh. Half a day of bed rest will be enough."

Lu Mingfei was stunned. So the target of the strokes wasn't the buttocks, but the thighs?

"Thank you for the trouble."

"It's no trouble at all. I wish you a pleasant trip to Japan."

The plane experienced a slight tremor, and Lu Mingfei instinctively opened his eyes. The darkness in his vision reminded him that he had just fallen asleep, and his arm was unluckily pressed over his eyes.

"Mingfei, are you awake?" Old Tang peered over from the seat in front, having learned Lu Mingfei's name on the way.

"Yes, where are we now?"

Lu Mingfei could tell that Old Tang was in good spirits, which wasn't surprising. When he went to find Old Tang that afternoon, he found that Old Tang was still sleeping, sprawled out in a very ungraceful pose.

Gradually recovering, Lu Mingfei glanced out the window. Below them was the bustling city of Tokyo, a world economic center on par with New York and London. As the moon rose into the sky, the city lit up with dense starlight, and the dim yellow streetlights spread like tree branches throughout the entire city.

"This is Tokyo," Lu Mingfei couldn't help but exclaim, staring blankly at the brightly lit city. "Back home, I'd be in bed by this time."

"No wonder you sometimes go offline so early. So your family is so strict. 10 PM is when nightlife begins."

Old Tang said.

"Nightlife?" Lu Mingfei smiled, recalling the days he looked out at the CBD lights from the rooftop. So even from thousands of meters away, he could feel the city's prosperity and clamor.

"After we get off the plane, should we take the airport railway to the city for dinner? How about Yoshinoya's beef bowl? I heard good things about it online." Old Tang licked the sauce from the corner of his mouth, clearly not satisfied by the business class dinner.

"The Principal said that the Inuyama Family Head will host us, so I think we probably don't need to worry about what good food to eat."

Lu Mingfei said.

"The Family Head is hosting us? Brother, you have so much face?" Old Tang was surprised, still a bit unaccustomed to his struggling gaming buddy suddenly becoming rich.

"It's not that I have face, it's that my college has face." Lu Mingfei corrected him.

"You can't say that. When people gather, they won't care about your college. They'll only believe what they see." Old Tang gave a thumbs up, "So it's still you, brother, who has face."

Chiba Prefecture, Narita Airport.

Rolls-Royces, Maybachs, McLarens, Porsches, luxury cars lined the runway. Men in black suits emerged one by one, forming a welcoming line.

Angers's message came very suddenly, as if he had decided at the last minute to send a child to the Shachi Hachi Family for training.

Although the Shachi Hachi Family had always been known as the Kassel College Japan Branch, sending a child over so casually still caused some people to have objections.

For years, the Japan Branch had been a place the main campus tried to avoid. Every student from the main campus who returned from the Japan Branch kept silent about their experiences there. Over time, a saying formed within the college: 'It's better to work like a dog in the Execution Department than to be imprisoned in the Japan Branch.'

"Gentlemen, how should we treat this child?"

Hours earlier, Inuyama He, who had received Angers's message, immediately convened an urgent online meeting.

Suddenly, the entire conference call was filled with indignation, with calls to leave a deep impression on the main campus student, and even underhanded tactics were suggested.

Finally, they settled on two approaches.

Courteous treatment or complete indifference.

A student personally overseen by Hilbert Jean Angers, it's better not to be too excessive. For decades, that name had been like a mountain pressing down on them, making people afraid to speak loudly.

Inuyama He agreed with the former.

"The Inuyama Family's child studying at the main campus sent a message. The main campus student coming is named Lu Mingfei, S-rank."

A collective gasp was heard on the conference call. S-rank? How long had it been since they heard that rating? Angers was an S-rank, and now the student he sent was also S-rank.

A huge pressure suddenly descended.

"This S-rank's record is one Three-Generations Breed killed and two Next Generation Species killed."

Inuyama He said softly, "Just recently, in a secret mission, S-rank student Lu Mingfei killed a Next Generation Species."

Everyone remained silent; no one questioned the authenticity of the information. If it were false, the Family Head would not bring it up to amuse everyone.

"Angers's call mentioned that the S-rank is only coming to Japan for a vacation to relieve psychological pressure. The rest of his words were just old complaints. Kaguya-hime will be responsible for uncovering all the background of this individual from the European Secret Party, and what we are responsible for is ensuring that the S-rank eats well and has fun on our territory. This is not difficult for our Inuyama Family; in fact, it could be said to be as easy as turning over one's hand."

The Inuyama Family's main business was the entertainment industry. If a visiting guest, under the care of the Inuyama Family, did not experience spiritual pleasure, its seriousness would be no less than eating instant noodles without a fork and seasoning packet.

"Coordinate with the Executive Bureau to ensure that no news of mixed-bloods causing trouble during this period reaches the ears of this S-rank. He's here to have fun, so let him have a good time."

"Do we need to inform the Source Family Head?" Someone asked.

"No need. As long as it doesn't involve serious mixed-blood incidents, small matters like vacations and tourism are entirely the responsibility of our Inuyama Family."

"Understood!"

Inuyama He hung up the phone, looking at the porcelain cup under his wrist. His somewhat aged face was reflected in the liquor.

"An S-rank capable of slaying a Next Generation Species, truly as dazzling as you, Principal Angers..." He murmured softly.
