Chapter 7: Join Kassel Academy

Lu Mingfei was dumbfounded; he hadn't expected that with just one word of agreement from him, everything would be taken care of.

After getting his living expenses back, he wouldn't even have to go back and face his Aunt.

Professor Guderian, however, felt it was nothing. If such small matters could entice an S-class student to the college, he wished for more of them.

Rather than encountering things that were harder than ascending to heaven.

Seeing Lu Mingfei remain silent, Professor Guderian became nervous again, "Mingfei, do you have any other requests? Feel free to ask, and we will satisfy them all."

"No, none at all."

Lu Mingfei scratched his head, feeling quite embarrassed.

Both the senior and the professor had been so considerate to him; if he didn't agree now, his conscience wouldn't allow it.

"Do you confirm your enrollment in Kassel College?" Professor Guderian's phone was still on, and a joyful expression appeared on his face.

Lu Mingfei subconsciously glanced at the phone on the table, feeling that his agreement to this sentence would affect his entire life.

Without further hesitation, he had made his decision.

"Confirm."

As expected, the calm female voice sounded again from the phone:

"Verification passed. Lu Mingfei, date of birth July 17, 1992, male, ID A.D.0013, class 'S', added to the Kassel College roster."

"Database access permission enabled, account activated, course schedule generated."

"It's a pleasure to serve you again. Your plane ticket, passport, and visa will be delivered within three weeks."

"Welcome, Lu Mingfei."

The call ended, and Lu Mingfei was still a bit dazed by the conversation.

He had no idea what was happening globally.

Everything that just occurred was merely the beginning; large data packets were streaming out from the supercomputer named Noma, heading to different corners of the world.

The name "Lu Mingfei" appeared on many people's screens and was firmly remembered. Data locks were removed, and thousands of secret gateways on Earth opened to "Lu Mingfei."

Kassel College opened its arms to its new student.

The three people opposite Guderian visibly relaxed.

"Mingfei, the voiceprint signature is complete. Noma will arrange everything; you just need to wait for the email," Professor Guderian said.

Ye Sheng also showed a joyful smile, "Welcome to Kassel College, junior brother."

"To celebrate, how about we eat at a street food stall tonight?" Professor Guderian said, "Isn't it customary in China to celebrate good news?"

"How did the professor know there are street food stalls in China?" Lu Mingfei asked curiously.

"I heard about it when I watched the news last night."

After Lu Mingfei confirmed his enrollment in Kassel College, the atmosphere at the dinner table became much more relaxed.

Ye Sheng also stopped tensing his back, leaning back in his chair and spearing the last salmon roll from his plate into his mouth.

Lu Mingfei ultimately did not return to his Aunt's house. Ye Sheng said it was fine and he would handle it.

After a simple phone call, without even hearing any questions from his Aunt, Lu Mingfei had a legitimate excuse not to come home for three days.

The excuse was even something unreliable like meeting online friends, staying out all night, and wanting to explore the city for two more days.

"There's nothing much to do anyway. Taking advantage of the recruitment, we can also take a couple of days off."

In the outer area of the Lijing Hotel's executive floor, Ye Sheng placed a cup of coffee into Lu Mingfei's hand.

Professor Guderian said he would personally be responsible for the new student's guidance, and Ye Sheng was happy to relax and chat with Lu Mingfei about everyday things.

The street food stall outing ultimately didn't happen. Professor Guderian received a call and left in a hurry.

With the key person gone, and Lu Mingfei not particularly interested in eating, the plan was dropped.

Currently, the four people, excluding Professor Guderian, were sitting on the sofa around the coffee table, aimlessly scrolling through their phones.

Professor Guderian being called away so urgently surely meant something had happened.

They also couldn't just hide in the suite as if nothing was wrong.

Lu Mingfei stared at the StarCraft forum, wondering if any new unorthodox tactics would emerge to help him draw inferences for his future strategies.

Just then, the club group suddenly became active.

"Should the Literary Club have a graduation party before we graduate?" Chen Wenwen suggested.

A group of people cheered excitedly. The president's suggestion was usually met with no opposition, especially since the president of the Literary Club was Chen Wenwen.

She was like Liu Bei of the Literary Club, very attractive to men.

Although Lu Mingfei had come to terms with his feelings for Chen Wenwen, out of politeness, and as a director of the Literary Club, he felt he couldn't miss this event.

"A dinner party? No fun, I'm on a diet," Su Xiaoqiang said coldly.

"No dinner party, we can book a small screening room at a cinema to watch a movie," Chen Wenwen said again.

Many people agreed with Chen Wenwen. Lu Mingfei didn't have strong feelings either way; whether it was a dinner party or a movie, he would only go out of politeness.

Su Xiaoqiang and Chen Wenwen's rivalry, however, had long been known.

Su Xiaoqiang had joined the Literary Club for Zhao Menghua.

"What should we watch?" someone asked.

"How about Wall-E?" Chen Wenwen replied.

"Wall-E? Great! Let's sneak in some snacks," Zhao Menghua was the first to agree.

Su Xiaoqiang followed closely:

"I can cover the popcorn and cola. I don't care about anything else."

With the class monitor leading, and the two most beautiful girls in the class agreeing, naturally no one else had any objections, and they all enthusiastically started discussing it.

After removing his filter for Chen Wenwen, Lu Mingfei had no particular feelings. He thought that watching a movie and saying goodbye to everyone in a touching atmosphere would be quite nice.

"Does anyone want to come with me to buy tickets? We can collect money from everyone's homes along the way," Chen Wenwen asked again.

"Lu Mingfei, isn't it usually him?" someone recommended Lu Mingfei.

"Lu Mingfei seems to have been admitted to Kassel College. He should be busy with overseas matters, right?" Chen Wenwen replied.

The group chat suddenly went quiet.

No one had expected that Lu Mingfei, who usually had no sense of presence, would suddenly be admitted to Kassel College.

Even the class monitor, Zhao Menghua, hadn't been admitted!

For a moment, no one dared to @ Lu Mingfei, the "dark horse," to run errands for them.

"I'll pay for the movie tickets. Chen Wenwen and I will go buy them," Zhao Menghua suddenly said.

Then the group chat was filled with praises for the great class monitor.

Lu Mingfei wasn't in the mood to read anymore; he just felt he should tell his seniors that his flight might be delayed by another day.

"Senior, have you bought the plane ticket yet?"

"Not yet. Your passport hasn't been sent by Noma yet; it'll probably be tomorrow. What's wrong, is something up?"

Ye Sheng looked up at Lu Mingfei, remembering Lu Mingfei's QQ message asking for a few days.

"Ah, yes, there's a club graduation party. I'm a club director, and I'd like to attend."

"No problem. It's only right that you go," Ye Sheng nodded, scanning Lu Mingfei from head to toe:

"It's just, perhaps you should change your outfit?"

Before Lu Mingfei could examine himself, a vigorous commotion sounded behind the four of them.

Professor Guderian had returned.

He had a hurried expression and newly printed documents.

Without any hesitation, he spoke.

"Ye Sheng, the Kui Men Plan has been moved up. The principal is about to arrive in China. Professor Mans needs you and Yaji to report to Sichuan immediately for coordinated training."

"I just got a resume from Russia; there's an A-rated student who needs me to go right away."

"Nono, taking care of Lu Mingfei is now up to you."
